Very cool vintage clothing shop. Ever since Julian,…read more California when I bought some pieces of jewelry, my interest was peaked to come here cuz we had 30 minutes til we could check into our lodging. Tonight Doc got us reservations for a Speakeasy Mystery Crawl in Nashville. The COLD night air confirmed I better buy a black coat to match the new black dress since they have a dress code. Thankfully I found a bedazzled light weight black coat for $30, bling earrings and a ring to get into the mood for this evening's 7:30 pm event. This shop did not have that musty smell like Goodwill or Savers. We'd shop for music or Big Sky bears ages ago but not clothes. I think watching Twilight Zone in my school age years gave me the Willie's of wearing someone else's clothes. Hub's aunty even told them she had nightmares with her own mom's clothes when she passed. Hopefully the one sage bundle i saw in the shop will be cleansing enough with my purchases. Hubs stayed in the car with Grandpup and Doc decided to go next door and treated us to coffee. Thanks Doc for driving again today and the afternoon caffeine.

Prices matched the value of the clothing in my opinion. There was plenty of parking. The store is in an area where you can shop around a little.

She was friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. I was swayed to come in by the cute floral dress on display, I had to try it on (I bought it) and thought I should try some jeans on too since I'm already going through the hassle that is the fitting room. Nicole asked me if I needed any help and I told her I hate jeans and part of it maybe cause I don't know how to shop for it. She taught me the terms, sizes, asked my style and preference, just so nice. I bought a nice button up and the floral dress but no jeans, I just wasn't feeling the urge to fulfill my jean purchase. However I told Nicole her help and service would have me coming back to lucky brand when I do wanna finally purchase a good pair and I meant it!

The blocks occupied feel like its own little community in the middle of the bigger city. It definitely has it's own vibe and is uniquely East Nashville. When we are in East, we normally make it point to stop in a shop or two. International Coffee, Galena Garlic and Adobe Mercantile are usually spots we frequent when wandering around, and Gift Horse is a cool place for a quirky or local gift for folks. Food wise, Maru and East Creamery are always on point and hit the spot! Hours of each shop differ, so make sure you look specifically at the hours of the places you want to visit. There is no real consistency amongst the shops from an overall hours perspective, which can be a tad frustrating. Parking is a bit wonky as well, nothing really dedicated at all times. There are a few pay lots nearby and street parking is plentiful in the area. Overall, Shoppes on Fatherland is a cool East community and is a good spot to spend a little time when you have nothing going on. It's always an after or before dinner/drink place for us.

I have been a fan of Francesca's since I first stumbled across this store in Tampa well over a…read moredecade ago. It sells women's clothing, but there are accessories that I enjoy browsing and ultimately buying something. I ended up getting a gnome case for my iPhone 5 at the time. It was one of my favourite cases. While getting a ton of exercise (both me and my credit card) shopping at Opry Mills yesterday, I saw this Francesca's store. I was already carrying a huge shopping bag full of goodies. Should I go in and check it out? I hauled myself and my goods in. The store has the same feel that I love. It had more of a focus on drinkware, from glasses, to mugs with fun sayings on them. I saw a watermelon tumbler with a matching straw. I am a huge fan of any watermelon pattern on anything. I flagged it and kept on browsing. The clearance section is at the back of the store. It was extensive. I saw my watermelon tumbler again. It was 50% off. Without any hesitation, I picked one up. I didn't bring one on this trip, so it would be great to have one heading home. I can fill it up with water at the airport once I get past security. This store carries some cute, quirky items, too. I saw squishy sushi, for instance. I had never seen them before. They were cute pieces of sushi that can relieve stress. I love cute and functional all rolled into a product. I headed over to the checkout to pay for my item. The friendly woman and I connected on a watermelon level. She loved my purchase. She pointed to her water bottle that had larger watermelon slices on it and had a black background. So cool! I asked where she got hers. She bought it at Walmart. I may need to visit one and see if there are any left. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. She asked if I needed a plastic bag. I was good putting it into my huge shopping bag. She put it in for me, which was such a nice gesture. I thanked her and happily left with my new purchase. Even though I was nearly at the end of walking the entire mall and was lugging so much stuff, I was happy that I stopped by this store. I got such a good deal on my watermelon tumbler. I look forward to returning when I'm back at this mall. (220)
