This was a new brand to us all together and we loved the fabrics and the styles. My husband walked away with two shirts and a jacket. All of the materials are super soft (like buttery), no-iron and cuts are ready-to-wear off the shelf and look perfect on my husband. Although there are a few "cuts/styles" of let's say shirts, they are athletically cut and tailored, but off the shelf...there is definitely a market for this concept and I think State and Liberty looks to play a roll. We brought everything back to Vegas and my husband just wore the jacket today...he looked cool, classy, original and a bit baller I might say! Grace. As we approached the check out counter to inquire the price of a glass globe with matches in it, we over heard two employees chatting about how to price items. One, more "seasoned" sales person told the other that she just randomly makes up the price when it is not marked on an item and if customer is "stupid enough to accept the price" then that is what it is sold for. Both employees laughed it off. My sister had already purchased an item before we heard this exchange which she did not hear. Since then, Friday April 10, 2026, we have shared this information to discourage other "stupid" shoppers from giving this store any business. Shame on them for their LOW CLASS treatment of consumers. I will make sure and pass this on to the many new families we know that will be sending their children to Vanderbilt and Belmont this fall.

Considering that I had just visited Five Below the other day, I decided to devote my time and credit card at FYE. I'm glad that I did. I used to visit FYE for used CDs and DVDs. It has changed with the times. It offers cool Japanese snacks and drinks, and a lot more. It carries Pusheen, Hello Kitty, Squishmallows, and Grogu products that I love, just to list a few. I was thirsty after spending some quality time shopping at this outlet mall. I decided to get a bottle of Pusheen strawberry fizzy seltzer. I was delighted that it had zero calories. You can get everything from a reusable Paul Frank shopping bag, to a huge slab of Rice Crispies. I enjoyed seeing Pac-man arcades games. I love Pac-man so much. The Grogu merchandise is extensive at this store. You can get wall clocks, socks, and signs. I ended up getting a small Grogu plushie to add to my collection. The electronics section is fun. It was a blast from my past seeing a portable CD player. I still have my Sony version from the late 90's. It still works! There were four staff members at the cashout area. I got a nice woman who helped with my purchase. I paid with a credit card. My transaction was seamless. I found a bench in the mall and cracked open my fizzy drink. It had a twist top, which I appreciated. I don't carry a bottle opener when I'm shopping! It tasted great. I wish that it were chilled, but I was so thirsty that I didn't care. I live in the Dallas area, and she didn't have friends or family nearby who could bring her clothes, so I was trying to find something I could have a courier pick up and deliver. I talked to Rob, who wasn't actually in Nashville that day, but did a mental review of the store and said that he didn't really think he had what I was looking for. He was really nice and said when he was back in town he'd be happy to help if I still needed it. I thought that was a lovely gesture, but moved on to a quicker solution and dismissed it. So naturally, I was surprised to get a call from Rob a few days later, asking how my friend was doing and offering to go to another store, get something comfy and take it to her at the hospital. Now how nice is that? Amazing! You really have to patronize this store just because he's such a nice person! Naturally, when I arrived in Nashville a week or so later, I made a point of going by to thank Rob personally for his concern. And it was then I fell in love with his store! It's fun and full of the almost theatrical vintage I love, with a distinct country western flair. Lots of fringe, sequins, boots, belts and bolo ties, some from decades you may not remember! The day I was there, Rob had a Nudie suit that had been owned by Merle Haggard. If I lived in the Nashville area I would be a regular - and apparently a lot of local musicians and artists are too. If you want something unique, kitschy or dramatic (that you definitely won't find at TJ Maxx!), this is the place to come. And as a bonus, you get to buy it from a genuinely nice guy!

Tonight Doc got us reservations for a Speakeasy Mystery Crawl in Nashville. The COLD night air confirmed I better buy a black coat to match the new black dress since they have a dress code. Thankfully I found a bedazzled light weight black coat for $30, bling earrings and a ring to get into the mood for this evening's 7:30 pm event. This shop did not have that musty smell like Goodwill or Savers. We'd shop for music or Big Sky bears ages ago but not clothes. I think watching Twilight Zone in my school age years gave me the Willie's of wearing someone else's clothes. Hub's aunty even told them she had nightmares with her own mom's clothes when she passed. Hopefully the one sage bundle i saw in the shop will be cleansing enough with my purchases. Hubs stayed in the car with Grandpup and Doc decided to go next door and treated us to coffee. This TJ Maxx is located at Opry Mills and is one of the few retailers with entry/exits inside and…read moreoutside of the actual mall. This location is essentially your standard TJ Maxx location, albeit a bit more condensed in size. Even with the smaller space, they still try to cram as much in as possible, in true TJM style! I usually get lost in a TJM for a while, and this location is no exception. I get sucked in to each aisle, fumbling through the odd items, shiny things and in some cases, must have kitchen goods. Unlike many other TJM, this store seemed a bit more organized and less chaotic. The shelves were packed with goods, but it wasn't messy. The staff is seen wandering the aisles, so I imagine they are constantly moving and organizing as they go. So, good on them and good for us. With that, service was okay. The associates in the aisle were making rounds for the goods, not so much for customer interaction. Overall, solid TJ Maxx location worth stopping by when at Opry Mills.
