I got my 20th anniversary edition Volkswagen GTI (2003) on new years day in 2006. I've had this car…read moremy entire adult life and have always been obsessed with it's color (they only made 1,000 in this Jazz Blue color). I wanted to do something to commemorate our upcoming 20th anniversary together so I decided to get a complete paint restoration (the body was faring very well for being a 22 year old car, but the clearcoat started peeling in the Grass Valley sun when I moved here a few years ago). I'd been looking around at different shops for a while, most of whom had this grave tone in their voices when they told me I might as well buy a new car if I wanted a paint job (um, what?). Until I went to Spotless Auto Detailing where the owner Brian Scott recommended I take it to Tomcat Collision. From the beginning, Bill and his team at Tomcat made every move to accomodate my requests and vision for my car. When a small thing didn't turn out as expected, they went above and beyond to re-do it and even offered a discount (which I didn't accept, and instead paid in full because this team is amazing and deserves to be paid for their work!). The lead technician Onica was especially helpful, and huge shoutout for being such a badass! The final result literally took my breath away. I felt like I was 19 again seeing my car at the lot for the first time. So if you see me and my GTI around town, know that Tomcat Collision did that!

On the other hand Jackson at the location in Auburn was an absolute miracle man! He went above and beyond speaking with his regional manager to have this peice repaired. He even looked puzzled when I explained the other manager said there was an impact mark. He admitted there was none. Get the manager from Grass Valley out of there! Why wouldn't he honor the lifetime warranty when they made a mistake in the repair? Does he get in trouble for the faulty work? Why would he lie and make up that story?
