I wanted to do something to commemorate our upcoming 20th anniversary together so I decided to get a complete paint restoration (the body was faring very well for being a 22 year old car, but the clearcoat started peeling in the Grass Valley sun when I moved here a few years ago). I'd been looking around at different shops for a while, most of whom had this grave tone in their voices when they told me I might as well buy a new car if I wanted a paint job (um, what?). Until I went to Spotless Auto Detailing where the owner Brian Scott recommended I take it to Tomcat Collision. From the beginning, Bill and his team at Tomcat made every move to accomodate my requests and vision for my car. When a small thing didn't turn out as expected, they went above and beyond to re-do it and even offered a discount (which I didn't accept, and instead paid in full because this team is amazing and deserves to be paid for their work!). The lead technician Onica was especially helpful, and huge shoutout for being such a badass! The final result literally took my breath away. When she looked at the area on our car, she said she thought it could possibly just be buffed out so she took it into the shop and they buffed it out at no charge!! The rubber that was on our door panel from the other vehicle's oversized tires came off completely. We were thrilled! We asked her a couple of questions unrelated to our collision and she recommended a product and a solution for each concern. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate. She focused first on what could be done for us without an actual claim. She was as happy as we were over the results and said she'd call our insurance company to cancel the claim.
