10/10 would recommend! Angel did a great job on my hair! I was hesitant to get a Keratin treatment done, but it was well worth it. Angel really knows her stuff. She was able to tell me how the Keratin treatment works in a way that I could understand. I am not a people person, but Angel was able to somehow make me feel more comfortable and relaxed. Her honesty and personality really made me feel at home. I would say I have type 3A-3B hair. It's frizzy, looks dry, and overall is hard to style. I typically throw it up in a bun and call it a day since it's difficult to work with. Since getting the Keratin Treatment done last week, my hair is not frizzy at all, looks healthy, and is easy to style! I would recommend this to anyone with my hair type! The pillow that I lay on when we did my lashes was very dirty... no towel or anything. The place was shabby and I regret not just leaving. I got eyelash extensions on Friday morning and by Saturday my left eye was very irritated. I attempted to call Vanity Salon several times but I just received VM. I wanted to get the lashes removed, as well as remove any lingering glue. I had to gently massage coconut oil into my lashes in order to remove as much glue and lash as I could over the weekend. As my eye became more painful, I saw a doctor. The doctor looked at it and removed glue that was gluing part of my eyelid to itself. A lot of my own lashes came out in that spot in order to free my skin. My doctor gave me antibiotic drops and cream for my eye. This has been a tremendous waste of time and money as well as the major discomfort. read more

Horrible Horrible customer service. I never write reviews but this is too much... I purchased a Groupon for 3 Dermaplane treatments. On my first treatment I went to book my second and spoke with the lady who did my service (and was also the receptionist and receptionist and only one there...) advised me that the groupon will not expire as it states in the rules. I obviously took this in consideration when spacing out my next appointment. At the second appointment I had the same lady who is very nice and good at her job (she was again the ONLY person there) and I booked my third and last treatment for a few months later. I had to later cancel that appointment due to a scheduling conflict, I was told that was no problem. I called yesterday to re-book my final appointment. The lady on the phone was nice enough, but then I received an email saying my Groupon expired and I owe $25 for canceling my last appointment. I explained I had been advised by their staff that it would not expire and was never told there was a cancellation fee. This was the response I got: "Look I don't know you and I don't know who said what . If you can't follow terms when you by a Groupon and argue with someone back and forth instead of playing by the rules that are in black and white, then that's unfortunate for you not me, If you don't want to pay for a service then you can go find another salon that gives services away because someone said something . This is ridiculous and it's obvious you wouldn't be a returning client at this point. The esthetician you saw isn't with me anymore and if she was I would talk to her and if she told you that then it would be on her and she'd be doing it for free. She's at lash therapy and skincare now in mt Juliet Contact her if she told you that and tell HER she owes you a free service but I'm not paying for you to have a service out of my pocket" No I will not be a returning client, and frankly if this wasn't on a groupon I would not have gone back. The place seems to always be empty and there is no ambiance. It's cold and plain and the products used smell like cotton candy and bubble gum and I was never told what was being put on my face. I bought the Groupon for a cut, full highlight and blow dry/style and couldn't have been happier with the results. Angel did my hair and she did a perfect job with the color and gave me just the right cut. She actually added highlights and lowlights and a toner because I was trying to recover from an overgrown bleach job, my hair was a weird light green color with bad roots when I went in She was fast and efficient and all the products she used smelled and felt great and didn't irritate my scalp (I have tons of allergies so getting hair color is often a painful experience for me.) Angel was warm and inviting and made me a cup of coffee while my color was setting. The salon isn't very flashy but everything was nice and clean and organized and it was very quiet and peaceful. I, like many other reviewers, had bought a Groupon for a Shellac Mani and a regular pedi. I had never been to Vanity before, but the price was right and I needed to have my nails done before a business trip so I thought I'd give it a try! Upon arrival I was greeted and told to have a seat and wait for my manicurist. I was finally taken back to get my nails done, was not acknowledge by my name and my manicurist never introduced herself. Picked my colors out (limited polish selection) while my pedicure water was brought over. I'm used to the big massage chairs with the basin attached. The (one) pedicure arm- chair is behind a screen and you basically have your feet in a bucket- which I was not accustom too. The leg massage was minimal and I left with rough heels. The manicure is sub-par. My nails aren't even and the manicurist had a lot of excuses as to why the polish looked shorty. I question to cleanliness of tools.... No hot towels were offered and a hand massage was done after the manicure, almost like an "oh, I need to do this....". The shellac is sloppy and my cuticles are not completely groomed. Didn't notice that until I had already left.... I tipped over 15% of the original cost ($70), but the work was definitely not worth that much. Only needed to trim ends. Have long hair. Definitely recommend. Only downside is the parking.....the lack of! Good thing I always arrive early as I had to drive around the block several times. Recently moved here, looking for a place to get my hair done, I grabbed a groupon (have never gotten my hair done with a groupon before so I figured why not). Mary was very sweet, so personable and nice, and the highlights in regards to color aren't so bad, BUT I still have roots, I mean terrible roots that were missed, I'll need to get my hair done in a few weeks for sure, not too mention another hair cut as my cut really doesn't have much shape. I asked for a long bob....it's more all one length all around. I'm chalking this up as a loss UPDATE: Angel the owner reached out to me after reading my review and offered to fix my roots and reshape my cut, I took her up on her offer and I am extremely pleased with the outcome, she did a fantastic job and the color and cut look fantastic. I appreciate her professionalism as well as the respect she has for her salon and clients....with that being said I will return for a future visit as we all have off days and everyone/thing deserves a second chance! read more

Some facts about Vanity salon: 1) Sketchy building with 90's decor, bad parking situation, and dark dentist office vibe. 2) Hair EVERYWHERE- corners, on the chair, and counters. 3) No customer service- receptionist didn't greet me when I walked up to the counter and I was the ONLY CUSTOMER in the entire salon. When I was getting my hair done she did her nails. 4) Hairdresser couldn't do a simple blowout but was nice. Hair is frizzy, tangled and looks dry. Showed up for my 2pm appt that I received 3 reminders about and waited for about 10 minutes after my appt time. I finally went up to the rinky dinky reception desk and was told that it was the esthetician's first day and she wasn't there yet. I was also told that she wasn't answering her phone. Erin is fabulous! I redeemed a groupon for a mani-pedi, and by the end of it, I knew I would be back. Everyone in the salon worked to meet my schedule by getting me prepped, so I could be on my way. Erin did the gel mani-pedi and had me looking fabulous for the wedding I was attending. We got to talking skin care and I scheduled an appointment for the next week! I had a hair straightening treatment there last fall, and the treatment lasted barely a few weeks (rather than the promised four months). Not wanting to return again, I recently bought a Groupon for another hair treatment at a DIFFERENT salon, only for that stylist to then tell me that due to medical issues she was having, she wouldn't be able to honor the Groupon. Since my only option was to trade in my Groupon for another one, out of sheer desperation I traded it for a Groupon at Vanity Salon. But when I called today to make the appointment, they told me they wouldn't take me because the Groupon was supposedly only for new clients (never saw ANY mention of that in the description). My one consolation is I'm glad I won't be going back there (although annoyed at my apparently useless Groupon)! read more

I'd purchased a groupon for a mani/pedi at this place and found it incredibly difficult to initially get in touch with this salon. For a long time, even before I had visited the place, I had this place mentally marked as a 0 star or 1 star place for this reason. They were apparently without a nail technician for sometime and said they would get back, but did not. Eventually, I had Groupon intervene on my behalf and then I got an appointment after my groupon expiry date. But, my feelings about this place changed drastically once I went for the appointment. It's actually a really nice, clean and spacious salon with nice, friendly, and efficient people working there. They left no room for complaints during the visit, well almost. I'm used to a hand and foot massage with my mani/pedi and I missed it, but other than that, everything was great. Angel took a lot of time and great care to do my manicure and pedicure, and most importantly, I got that relaxed vibe which you expect from a good salon. I'm willing to forget my initial frustrating experience with contacting this business and I'd love to come back here for other services. read more

I was a little hesitant about this place given the location and other reviews I've seen. I bought a groupon for 3 facials. I was so surprised at how amazing they were! Stephanie is awesome! She asks about what problems you have with your skin and works through solutions. She always tells you what she's going to do before she does it and makes sure you don't have any questions or concerns. I've been to several of the high end spas in Nashville and Stephanie's facials definitely compete with them. This is my new favorite facial spot. The current technician did a mediocre job at best (after 1 day the polish was chipped on my fingers and toes).
