Had the most amazing day being pampered! My bestie came to visit for the weekend and we decided to treat ourselves to a self care day. This was my first facial ever, Monica was amazing! She walked me through everything bf she was doing. The products she used left me feeling fresh, clean and smelled so good! After my facial I headed for my relaxation massage. Lauren was amazing, we chatted beforehand where I told her all my problem areas. The pressure during my session was just what my muscles needed! A fabulous perk to this spa is the use of all the amenities during your visit. Not only do you get to store your belongings in a locker, but you get a robe, sandals, access to the hotel pool, gym and sauna! I came here for a 50 minute basic massage (no add-ons). It was $225 (tip included). They automatically add a 20% tip. What was not acceptable is that my massage started late and ended early. So, I really only had 35-40 minutes of actually massage. The masseuse also just lightly rubbed me and didn't ask about how the pressure was. Yes, the facility is very nice, but it is a rip off, and because the masseuse is guaranteed a huge (20%) tip, they actually don't do anything to ensure they are abiding by the guidelines. I came here with my sister in law for a relaxing spa day with 50 min swedish massages. The spa is located on the 4th floor of the Omni, which with spa services, covers valet parking for the whole day. We walked around Broadway and to Painters Alley before making our appointment. The ladies at the front desk were super friendly as well as my massage therapist. The facility is clean, upscale and well stocked with little toiletries such as razors, combs, and cotton swabs. They have a dry sauna in the women's locker room. The individual lockers are small which is enough to fit a purse, a small shopping bag and your clothing. There are two large showers with a relaxing eucalyptus spray you can use as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The relaxation area has comfortable reclining seats where you wait before your service. They have hot tea available and trail mix for a snack. The spa does offer you the option to use their outdoor pool and or hot tub but it's the guest pool and hot tub which you have to walk out of the spa with the staff to give you access to enter and re-enter the spa area. The massage rooms were very well kept, relaxing and had great ambiance. The swedish massage was great and I would highly suggest it! After the massage they offer you a glass of champagne which was perfect after a great massage. Overall, the facility is classy, clean, comfortable with minimum foot traffic, the massage was great. I wished that they had better snack options available other than bagged trail mix, the swimming pool option was more convenient, as well as additional toiletries such as hair ties, hair spray, or sun block. read more

I want give a higher rating because Lauren was amazing! She was my service provider for the Indulgence package. I'm giving it a 3 because it's EXTREMELY difficult get through front desk. Even when you come to the spa, they are not attentive and you may have to ask multiple times for what you've requested. When booking, I was charged in spite of being told that it was just to hold the reservation. It wasn't the price of my service but a random charge. I had to call several times with no response. It took 2 full weeks to resolve the issue. This was before I could set foot in the spa. Highlights: my actual service was awesome, the relaxation room is nice, the sauna and hot tub amenities were also a nice to have. Overall for the price and level of customer service, I probably won't return. Maybe they just need someone to answer phones so front desk staff can attend to face to face customers. read more

My massage was meh at best. There was no focus on the area I asked and the pressure was varying the whole time (I like firm, she never got to firm, only medium and mostly light). Also, the ENTIRE facility is dirty. Dust and hair in the corners, debris on the floor in the waiting area, and who knows in the room itself as it was dark. Definitely one of the best facials I've ever had. The aesthetician was so nice and so helpful. After talking to her about my skin and what I wanted out of the treatment I decided to do the hydrafacial. Definitely worth it for me! My skin feels so fresh and hydrated. And the best part? At the end she showed me everything it sucked out of my face. Wow. Just, wow. The facility is also very nice in general. I came two hours before my treatment and enjoyed laying out by the pool, soaking in the hot tub and sweating out some toxins in the sauna. The showers have this nice eucalyptus aroma therapy you can use. Loved it. The only criticism I have is they need better signage from the lobby. I walked around for a while before I found someone who could point me in the right direction. To save you the time: when you walk in, take the elevators on the left to the 4th floor. Two or Four stars? (See why 3 overall) TWO because: The locker room is not peaceful. Every few minutes someone was in or out to take care of towels. It was just me in there fully utilizing the space. The other lady immediately went to the waiting room. Very strange and disrupted the zen. Locker is incredibly small and forces you to cram and wrinkle your shoes, coat, clothes, purse etc. A hanger is provided but what could hang from it ? We do get winter in Nashville and as a 19 year resident I know. - see photo - what if I wore my cowboy boots ?????!!! Stations throughout the spa are misplaced and have poor design too. The poofs to rest on while you get ready is an extremely small station and across from lockers. So there is barely room to get ready. With a mirror directly across - who would want to get naked while someone is blow drying their hair inches from you? The afterthought of shaving cream, razors and shower cap around the corner is bizarre. That is also where the basket of hairdryers are stored. Plus where are the Qtips and the hair products ? This area is where the primping/styling station should be. The changing rooms are overly large should have been designed smaller for the layout to improve. After a detox in the sauna there is nowhere to sit and cool down ! The thought of eucalyptus spray inside the shower is a nice touch to create a personal steam room but there is only one regular shower like this ! The waiting room also was not peaceful and it was cold. Lots of loud talking by staff - and to the person who I asked a question to that was back with the massage rooms making loud conversation - she said she didn't work there but would find someone to help. Appreciate the apples for snacks but both containers of other snack food contained nuts. You would think one would and one would not with all the allergy considerations these days. It would be healthy and appropriate to have no nuts at all. Agree with other review regarding tea pots. FOUR because: For the massage therapist. Service was wonderful. He also searched and found the device to make the audio lounger work in the waiting room. The only downer was the aromatherapy oil I picked didn't seemed to be used. So as a local, three stars because at $170 including tip for a 50 minute aromatherapy massage the facilities should live up to the Omni brand. Parking is validated. I booked spa treatments to celebrate my fiancés birthday. When I booked the services I was told to arrive at least 30 mins early to enjoy the relaxation room. When we arrived, we had to wait in the lobby for an extended amount of time. At the front desk it appeared to be complete chaos. I was called back first. The lady took me to the locker room and showed me the locker and then she vanished. No direction where to go next. I get changed and find my way to the relaxation room on my own. I enter the "relaxation room" and it is completely packed. One seat open. Needless to say, it was not a relaxing environment. My fiancé is nowhere in sight. I ask a worker where he is, and she says he is in the locker room waiting for her to find him a pair of slippers. As I am getting called back for my service, he is entering the very packed "relaxation room", and he is in his socks....they were out of slippers. I requested and woman to perform his massage when I booked the spa. A man performed his massage. Once our treatments were complete, we went to the separate lockers to get dressed and leave. I take my time getting dressed, I pay for the treatments, and I wait for my fiancé. About 20 minutes go by and he finally comes out of the locker room. His locker would not open. He said several different staff members came with keys, and they did not work. Finally, an engineer came and was able to unlock it. On the way out and older gentlemen told him he had the same issue. With all that being said, our actual services that we booked were fine, but the environment and chaos was terrible. The prices for the treatments do not meet the level of customer service that one would expect. I have tried to reach out to management several times with no luck. We will not be back. read more

I just had an amazing massage with Sarah!!!!!!! She was so attentive and I would highly recommend everyone visit her!!! I debated whether or not I should leave a 4 or 5 star rating. I've visited spas all over the world and I have very high expectations. I'm a huge fan of hydrotherapy amenities, heated lounges, steam room, none of these present at this spa. Relaxation room was nice but nothing overly special. The locker area is nice with a sauna and lotions etc. which of course I tried! What pushed my review to a 5 was Sarah and Aromatherapy massage with CBD oil. I'm always looking for those special touches that set spas apart and I received those here. The oil she used had a slight grainy feel to it that dissolved away. After she finished with my back, she placed a hot towel over the back of my neck!! Utter bliss. After flipping to my back, she elevated the table at my feet and back and the extra stretch and position was sooo nice. She then placed another hot towel behind my neck again. That one got too hot over time and she replaced with a cool towel. She was very concerned with my comfort. Sad I live so far away as I would definitely have visited her again!!! read more

As we all know I frequently visit Spas. Earlier this week I was out of town in Nashville for the PATS weekend and knew that I would be driving from Nashville by myself... I suspected probably a tense drive in the rain, so I had to forethought the previous week to book a massage for my round trip drive. To yelp I went and to Mokara Spa I found. As you arrive through the gorgeous Omni lobby area you'll make your way to the elevators to the 4th floor. Spa comps your valet parking which is just straight up Classy! The locker rooms were clean and spacious, changing room conveniently close to the area. Showers, Sauna and vanity area was spotless. Now keep in mind I went at 6pm on a Monday evening probably was one of the last clients but you can tell this is a normal occurrence for this oasis. Dimly lit relaxation lounge where refreshments await you as you recline in one of their many comfortable chaise lounge... which at this time of year also had blankets for warmth. Daniel was my Masseuse he put me at ease and suggested some beautiful fragrant scents to use I was swept away by the relaxing Spa music of Will Ackerman and fell asleep in no time. I got a 50 min massage this morning and it was fabulous! My husband suggested that we treat ourselves before we catch a flight back home to Chicago. Right when you walk in they show you to the locker room which is very clean. After I changed into my robe, I went into the relaxation room. My husband met me in there and we had tea together before our therapist came and got us. I can not remember my therapist name for the life of me. I want to say it was Noreen. When we got into the room, she had me pick out a scent I would like during my massages. I went with Eucalyptus naturally. She asked me a series of questions before the service began. I personally like a more firm/deep massage. She did just that. I was perfect. Things I noticed during the service that made this 50 mins blissful was the hot towels she used during the service. The room was also almost pitch black. For some reason I kind of loved it! It really makes you relax. Checkout was easy. 20% gratuity was added into our services and we walked out paying $300 for 2 massages. I will definitely be visiting Mokara again in the near future. Had a day to kill in Nashville because my flight didn't leave until super late. Decided to check this place out based on the good reviews. So glad I did! Hands down best massage I've ever had! I did the 50 minute Mokara Signature Massage and I wish I'd done the 80 minute instead. Online price says $125 but they automatically add a 20% gratuity, so total came to $150. If you're considering going, definitely do. The hotel and spa are gorgeous. Tip - if you can get a reservation to have brunch at Kitchen Notes (inside the Omni) before your massage I recommend that too - so good! Arrived at the spa an hour early and chilled in the relaxation room. I do wish they'd give you the option to have your champagne before the massage if you're early. They have self-serve snacks, water and tea in the relaxation room. They also provide a robe, sandals, razors, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and blow dryers. Complaints would be that the locker room got pretty crowded when I was getting ready afterward and there's only 2 showers. So there's a chance you'll have to wait to shower and wait to use a blowdryer. So be prepared that that might be the case. Also, a bench of some sort or hooks in the shower rooms would be handy. read more

Located Downtown in the Omni Hotel, this is a very high end, luxe day spa. Expect to spend some serious $$$$ . This is definitely a "treat yoself" type of place so you sorta have to get past as it is all about the experience. I would advise making appointments well ahead of time as they do book quickly since the area hosts numerous conventions on a regular basis. Upon arrival to the spa, my friends and I had to fill out the usual paperwork noting of health concerns, etc... We were brought to the locker area where we each were shown our lockers that had bathrobes and slippers waiting for us to change into. The space is immaculate..there are several changing areas, restrooms stalls as well as shower areas. After changing, we hung out in the relaxation lounge until our names were called for our treatments. I had a 50 minute Arctic Berry Illuminating facial since I am accustomed to Eminence products. I wasn't really a fan of having my facial before my massage and for the amount of money I was spending I really didn't like that they couldn't accommodate my request . I will say that I really enjoyed the 75 minute Hot Stone massage as it was my first of its kind. I was a little nervous at first but it was more relaxing than I imagined it would be. And goes by waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too quickly! After my treatments , I lounged in the relaxation lounge for a little bit. They have complimentary water, tea, etc and some snacks to take advantage of. Upon checkout, they will suggest some products for purchase which you can decline if you want. Gratuity is already added at 19% so keep that in mind when adding in your tip. If you want to be treated like royalty and get pampered like a Princess, this is the spa to go to. I rarely take the time to leave reviews, but this spa deserves all the love. I have been to this spa 3 times, twice for massage and once for a facial. The first time I came, I called day of and they got me in. Honestly, I just chose this spa because I work up the road and they had an opening. Best decision I have ever made. The spa and hotel are both very nice, and I love the amenities. The staff are always very friendly, and the atmosphere is extremely relaxing and inviting. The services I have received are all 5-star. By far the best massage and facial I've ever gotten. My skin has never looked better. The aesthetician was super knowledgable about skin and was able to do exactly what I needed. Yolanda is the massage therapist I have seen both times, and she is phenomenal. She got deep in my knots and I felt so much better. Another thing I love about this spa is the adjustable beds. I hate laying on my back without ample support for my legs, so having this bed form to my body was a nice surprise. I will continue to patron this spa just because the services are so great. The cherry on top is the excellent staff. On my last visit to the spa for a massage, they went above and beyond. I had a great 80 min deep tissue with Yolanda, and I thought it was perfect. However, there was some noice coming from a neighboring room. It sounded like construction or buffing, not sure, but it wasn't a huge issue to me since I was deep in a massage trance. As I was getting ready to leave the locker room, a manager (I think) told me they couldn't charge me for the service. I was caught off guard and thought they meant my card was declined lol, but no she was adamant they comp the service due to the noise. Not impressed, I live in Nashville and I'm not a hotel guest. Mediocre couples massage, nothing elaborate and very basic. Used teapots in the Co-Ed relaxation room on the counter which was unsanitary. The blankets in the co-ed relation room chairs were reused, I watched the attendant refold the dirty ones and place them back on the chair for reuse. What got me the most was the $74 added gratuity that was added to my bill without my permission. Gratuity is my decision and I should be given a receipt so that I may review my tab before signing. Gratuity was added to my tab without my permission, 20% on a $350 couples massage, $74. Which turned into $444 after a $20 add on facial which my friend didn't realize was added. I had a few hours free before a flight home, and spent it happily here. I started with a Renewing Rose massage, and the therapist did an absolutely wonderful job. I followed it up with an OPI gel manicure with Nikki, who is fabulous. Great conversationalist, and my nails look perfect. Upon booking my appointment they let me know that I can utilize valet when I arrive & they'd validate it for me. Sure enough, pulled into valet then went up to the 4th floor of the Omni. Check in was easy & I got to select my massage scent. Then I was escorted to the ladies locker room & told where to find everything & pointed in the direction of the relaxation room. I then changed into a big fluffy/soft robe & took my kindle out to the relaxation room to wait for my massage. My massage therapist came and found me when it was my turn & she gave me a very relaxing massage & really helped loosen my neck up a bit. I was then given a free glass of delicious champagne & went back to the relaxation room where I enjoyed a healthy snack & my champagne. Finally I enjoyed the sauna, took a shower, then headed back into the real world. Only downside is the relaxation room was very crowded at the beginning because there were a few groups of friends there together chatting. I wish they had a relaxation room that is for silence & a separate room for friends who want to chat. Probably the only disadvantage to going on a busy Saturday! read more

You get what you pay for. Mokara is simply amazing. My boyfriend decided to treat us to a couple's massage for my birthday and while it was expensive, it was so worth it. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and will go out of their way to help you. They have a 'relaxation lounge' where you can wait before your massage, sip on tea, champagne, fruity water...whatever you want. We hung out there before and after our massage because we didn't want to leave haha. We decided to get the 50 minute massage which was perfect. Not too long, not too short. Both of our masseuse's were mindful of any pressure points, or painful spots. They were open with their communication - which is something that I can appreciate. I left here with a smile on my face, feeling completely refreshed. I even bought one of their 'zents' lotion because I loved the scent that they used in my massage so much. We will definitely be coming here again, probably for an anniversary because it was so expensive....but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend this place. read more

This met all of my expectations! I don't usually go to spas stateside because I never know what I'm going to get. But being that I was with my other half, I figured if it's not what we expected at least we're in it together. This will now officially be our go to place/spa when in Nashville. It was clean, the staff was very courteous and helpful, you can order food while in the waiting/relaxing area. I love that there are different size robes for everybody and the shoes are size specific. I received the deep tissue massage, and let me say, I got schooled and graduated in "don't judge a book by its cover" 101. I'm a plus size female and when I met my masseuse...yes, I prejudged...forgive me. I perceived that due to her stature and extremely faint hand shake that there was no way I would get the deep tissue I was expecting. Well she must can read minds because let me tell you...she showed up and showed out!!!!! She worked me like a double shift, but of course in a good way. I wish I could remember her name to give her her props and to recommend; I know it starts with a 'N', has about 5 or 6 letters in it and it's not a common name like 'Nancy' or something. Maybe Neagan or Norrae. My only issue is, maybe when you all renovate, maybe partition some of the chaises for couples or parties. Or turn them into rooms for couples and parties. My partner, and some others in the room, fell asleep while waiting for his massage and I'm surprised he didn't wake up when a party of 4 finished their massages and came back out into the waiting area fairly loud with their conversations. Also if you want to have a quiet convo with your party, everybody can and will hear you. Lastly, maybe the way you all issue out robes upon check-in, you should do the same for the blankets on the chaises. If somebody comes in and didn't shower before their service, that's kind of unsanitary in my opinion for that person to use the blanket and it's being reused through out the day by several other people. Yes, we're in robes but we don't know what's on people's feet or if they may have some kind of infected skin issue from the calf down which is the exposed area the blanket touches. Kim!!! Yaaaaas!!! Since taking a chance and having Kim rock my locks I have come back home and the compliments keep coming. She knew exactly what I wanted, the style was perfect, the blowout was GORG. My hair was a hot mess with dead ends and now - VS hair. I am 1000% happy I went to the spa for a haircut. Top shelf service. Deb! Manicure! Get one!! As my hair was getting transformed my associate was getting her nails done. Deb was fantastic. My associate has had bad experiences at other salons with them hacking away at her cuticles (you know what I'm talking about!) and didn't want to go. That was all melted away and she enjoyed relaxing and being pampered. Front desk ladies also representing for elite customer service. I felt like I was the most important person there. My girlfriend treated us to an 80-minute couple's massage as part of my birthday and if I've ever gotten a better gift, I don't remember it. The entire experience from was exceptional from beginning to end. Located on the 4th floor of the Omni Hotel downtown, the facilities are top notch. Valet parking is available at the hotel and is complimentary for spa guests (with validation). Spa appointments give you day access to the Omni pool and workout facility (also on the 4th floor), but we didn't use them. The locker rooms are clean and well appointed and the pre and post-massage relaxation area is fitted with comfortable chaise lounges and a full supply of bottled water, cucumber water and champagne/orange juice (complimentary post massage). The massage itself was amazing, easily the best I've had. All of the staff we interacted with from the reception desk to our masseuses were friendly, professional and attentive to our every need. The atmosphere was phenomenal. The relaxation room was super quiet, tea great, snacks atmosphere were to die for. No one was talking and the music was soft. I enjoyed every bit of my time there. My gel manicure lasted a week and since I am our of town have no time to drive 8 hours to return to Nashville to ask that it be redone. In the days since one by one nails are completely peeling off - the entire polish in one piece. It is 10 days later and I have the polish of 3 full nails pealed off. I am so disappointed. read more
