My husband and myself had a very good working relationship with billy He was very helpful with the designs and everything he drew up was done to perfection. His workers showed up on time and were very nice respectful people. they also cleaned up after themselves very well. The cabinets we have are gorgeous wood with sliding draws. I was completely satisfied with the workmanship. We haven't had any problems with the kitchen. I've recommended him to some of my friends and they too have not had any issues. My contractor and I were both floored by how awful this establishment is run. We wanted 2 custom made vanities for 2 bathroom remodels. The first time we went in the guy was taking notes on sticky notes which should have been a red flag. Guess what? We come back 2 weeks later and they have zero recollection of taking our design plans down and they can't find any drawings of the plans. So we have to start over. And guess what? They do the mirror part incorrectly and not as we had asked... I told my contractor I cannot handle them anymore so luckily he was on top of them for the rest of the renovation, but he said they kept messing up right and left. Anyway... I'm still bothered by this 2 years later and am now doing a renovation to my third bathroom and am grateful I found a different vanity place that isn't irresponsible. I would never ever go here again and I warn all from using them for any custom jobs. read more

I bought all my bathroom fixtures at Vanity Fair 8 months ago. Billy was wonderful in helping me select the right ones that would compliment my taste. Recently, my faucet stopped working. I called Billy and explained about the faucet. He had someone at my home in 2 days who took the old faucet out and installed a new one at no charge to me at all. They did a beautiful job! We ordered two custom shower doors from Vanity Fair Baths. One of the doors was over 7ft wide and very difficult to source. Billy worked his magic and created the door for us. Billy and Wyatt made the entire process so easy for us. The installation guys were great as well! They were quick, professional and did very clean work. Walked in today to inquire about a free standing bathtub. The owner had no mask on, and seemed very uninterested in serving us. It was clear he didn't care for our business and even had the nerve to suggest we couldn't afford the tub as he obnoxiously proclaims "you know the tubs start at $2000." I walked right out. This business is a business to avoid. The owner is not reputable and does not stand by his craftsmanship. I placed a review months ago in which I explained how my very expensive vanity $5,000 was sloppily made by vanity fair baths and Bill the owner did not stand behind the workmanship of his word. My vanity handles were misaligned The gold paint on the French legs was peeling the door hinges were loosening after a few months of installation and after writing a negative review he threatened me that if I did not take the review down he wouldn't repair the vanity.. I told him that if he didn't repair my vanity I wouldn't take the review down. People should know that vanity fair baths is unreliable and the workmanship is poor and most of all bill the owner not nasty and wants money and an exorbitant amount of money for poor quality work.products look beautiful however do not stand up to quality for the prices he charges. And if thete are problems he doesn't want to fix them or admit his workmanship of the merchandise is poor. In my opinion go somewhere else to construct your dream bathroom... Vanity Fair stands by their top of the line work. They sold us tub doors over ten years ago. They were still like new until one broke. Everyone at Vanity Fair went out of their way to replace that glass panel for us at a minimal cost. Steve C. We have been a customer of Vanity Fair for over 20 years. The owner, Bill Carney, previously built two bedroom sets to our satisfaction. Upon deciding to remodel recently, we obviously contacted Bill believing he would again provide a positive service. This has not been the case. Be advised that everything about Vanity Fair and how they conduct business has changed dramatically since we first used them, and unfortunately, not for the better. BUYER BEWARE! We decided to remodel a master bedroom and bathroom. Our bathroom is being completed by a long-time contractor, however, since Bill's expertise is in vanities, we asked him to do this part of the bathroom. As others have said, Bill initially approached the project with excitement and treated us like long-time friends. Things went dramatically wrong immediately. My bathroom contractor provided Bill exact measurements and Bill advised that he would be more comfortable confirming the measurements with a visit to my home. Bill's completed vanity was too small. As Bill took the measurements for himself, building it to the wrong specifications was clearly his error. After belittling our contractor, using inexcusable and derogatory language to do so, Bill ultimately admitted his mistake in not using our contractor's measurements. PROBLEM #1 - Bill made NO attempt to compensate for HIS error. Instead, obviously frustrated by his own shortcomings, began his nasty tirade on everyone else. When it came to something as simple as choosing the door knob hardware for the vanity, Bill showed us catalogs, had us choose, and advised us that he would provide a price once he spoke with his distributor. PROBLEM #2 - Bill gave us a quote of $800 for the knobs. As is our right as the customer, we researched for ourselves and discovered that Bill was charging us 25% above the retail cost of the knobs. When questioned, Bill retorted that he requires at least a 25% designers fee on top of everything? REALLY? We picked the knobs out of a catalog. What exact design services were provided? PROBLEM #3 - We decided, against our better judgement, to move forward with Bill and requested him to come pick up the balance of the furniture to be refinished, as per our contract. Bill immediately advised that he was now changing the pick up charge from $185 to $650 (despite our signed contract). When questioned we were told that Bill's panel truck was broken down and someone had to pay for the repairs or for a rental truck. Umm....is this for real? PROBLEM #4 - When we told Bill that changing the terms of the contract because his truck broke down is really outside the scope of the norm we received a text message from him stating, "You two have crossed the line. I have had enough of you not respecting me as a designer. Come pick up your nightstands." We had given Bill a cash deposit of $10,000. We agreed to part ways, pick up the nightstands, and pay him IN FULL for the work outlined in the contract for said nightstands. This totaled $6500. Bill REFUSES to return the balance of our down payment, having advised there is no refund and the balance is considered "design fees." He claims he came to our home over 10 times - which is laughable since he only came one time for measurements he screwed up anyway. Bill's breach of contract/cancellation and his changing the terms leaves us out over $3500 for which we are now pursuing legal avenues to obtain. This man has NO RESPECT for the customer, NO RESPECT for his own business and I can confirm what all the other reviewers have stated. This is not the same company it was and it is a shame. If you make the mistake of choosing Vanity Fair Baths, have your checkbook ready and your mouth shut- because if you question anything at all, you will be in hot water! read more

Thank you Jenn and Bill Carney for a beautiful bathroom. We went to Vanity Fair Baths after we saw one of their vanities at Old Country Tile. We asked for something traditional, but not standard, and we were eager for a change. Not only did we receive a superior plan, our entire bathroom looks like a show piece. There's nothing traditional about it. Bill and Jenn responded to every email and call. Bill's artistic ability cannot be surpassed. Everyone that comes into our bathroom says WOW! We were most grateful for their expertise and are looking forward to working with Vanity Fair again. read more

To say I was dissatisfied with the level of service would be an understatement. I would not even give them 1 star if it were possible. Billy the owner is one of the most vial irrational business man I have ever encountered. He verbally insults his customers and calls them names. I spent well over $30,000 in his store and when a toilet seat came in the wrong color he refused to exchange it for the right color. He claims that he spoke to Toto the manufacture directly and they refused to take it back. I called Toto directly and there was no record of him speaking to anyone. When I asked what their return or exchange policy was they told me that as long as the box was in original condition they would have no problem exchanging it. I would never ever suggest purchasing anything from this retailer your better off going to the manufacturers directly or finding a different retailer. read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! My experience with Bill Carney- owner of Vanity Fair Kitchen and Bath. Bill pretends to be your friend and an honest and sincere guy until he gets your money... then you are screwed! Besides the grossly overpriced kitchen cabinets he installed in my Kitchen which still have poorly working drawers, and loose ends, he installed what were supposed to be "frameless" shower doors in our bathroom. Only, the doors have frames all around...why? Because Bill told me he knows what we want and not to worry, order them sight unseen and pay in CASH! When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the final product Bill claimed he was too busy to help us. A few months later and endless calls to him, his guys show up to fix the issue (for which I am expected to pay another $700) only to be handed a release form stating they are not responsible for anything. I found Billy to be a really easy going guy. I am bit of a control freak and I wanted my bathroom to look exactly how I pictured it in my mind. Billy provided ideas and guidance but allowed me to design my vanity and mirrors exactly the way I wanted. From the ball and claw legs to the ornate appliques. I actually miscalculated the size of the vanity lights I bought and Billy had to rebuild the mirror frames. He did not charge me and did not say a word and it was my fault. He even had me come in to look at stain samples to make sure it matched my stained doors and moldings.He did everything to make sure I was 100% happy. read more

DON'T USE VANITY FAIR!!!! 4 yrs. ago we decided to renovate our bathroom and chose Vanity Fair which is now in Carle Pl. We had a vanity made that came out beautiful. The counter top put in cracked and a big piece fell off while I was cleaning. I was shocked, called them right away and took pictures so they can take a look. I get a call from Bill the owner (who was very nasty) and said it looks like we smashed it and they don't warranty any stone (news to us). I asked him to come over to check it out and he refused! He said we bought a piece of marble 4 yrs. ago that was veiny and delicate and he will not stand by or warrenty any stone products. I decided to look at the crack again and discovered that Bill had applied a thick piece of appoxy to the countertop underneath right where the piece fell off!! He installed a defective top! I got Bill on the phone and convince him to come over. When I mentioned the appoxy he said that he appoxies every piece of marble that comes through his store. He proceeds to tell us that it can't be fixed and it will have to be replaced at the cost of $1,000 +++ for the plumbing etc. Are you kiding me?! My husband said that's way too expensive and Bill says, "My men don't work cheap". We had had enough and basically threw him out. We have since found the marble company he used at the time and they came over and temporarily fixed the counter top or free! They also said that Bill installed a defective piece not to mention that he has skipped out on paying his bills to this company and they will no longer sell to Vanity Fair. when we're ready for a new top we will be looking for a more reputable business.
