History
Established in 2013.
In 2012, I applied for and received a scholarship from the American Electrology Association to attend one of the most respected electrology schools in the United States, the American Institute of Education School of Electrology in California (AIE). Picking up my family and dedicating myself to temporary residency in Santa Ana, I completed 600 hours of practical training and theory at AIE, and earned additional certification through private training with the former director of AIE, the highly respected Johanne Fortier-Gonella, RE, LE, CPE, in the field of thermocoagulation at Aesthetics Systems USA Training Institute. After obtaining my electrologist certification, I then moved forward and achieved the highest rank an electrologist can achieve, that of Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE). I was finally ready, and extremely proud, to open my very own electrolysis practice, Vanity Affair Electrolysis, in Evergreen, Colorado, catering exclusively to women.
Meet the Business Owner: Courtney W.
After exhausting other forms of hair removal (including laser), and deeply frustrated with the irritation that daily shaving was inflicting on my skin, I decided to give electrolysis a try.
Encouraged after my initial consultation with an electrologist, I was informed that it would be a commitment, both of time and of money--however, unlike other forms of hair removal, the results would be permanent and there would be an ending point.
I began my treatments, which I found surprisingly tolerable (much more so than laser, in fact). And because electrolysis was only treating the coarse hairs that bothered me, I was able to grow back my natural "peach fuzz" in time, allowing my face to regain its soft, feminine appearance once again. And I was absolutely thrilled with the results!
At the suggestion of my electrologist, inspired by my own success story, and wanting to help other women win their battle against unwanted hair, I decided to pursue a career in the field of electrolysis.
