I purchased a sofa from Ashley Furniture in March 2025 for over $4,000, expecting basic quality and honesty. Instead, I got a defective product and a company that refuses to stand behind what it sells. In less than a year, with a total usage of maybe 30 hours, the cushions have severely sunk. My wife and I are almost never at home, so this couch has seen virtually no use. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of failure. To make matters worse, I was sold an "extended warranty" with clear assurances that it would cover everything, including cushion issues. That turned out to be completely false. After two so-called "expert" inspections and more than six phone calls totaling hours of my time, they are now denying coverage and backtracking on what was promised. This is not just poor quality, it is blatant misrepresentation. I have two witnesses who were present when I was told the warranty would cover cushion failure, especially this early on. Now they are pretending otherwise. I will be taking this matter to small claims court. Avoid this company at all costs. I will never buy from them again and will continue sharing this experience so others do not fall into the same trap. I need to be very clear about what happened here because this experience was disturbing. At this…read moreBurlington location, customers are forced to enter and exit through a roped barrier system that immediately makes you feel confined. You cannot simply walk in or walk out. You are physically funneled into a controlled area, and in order to leave, you have to wait until a loss prevention employee notices you and opens the barrier. As shown in the photo, the employee wasn't even paying attention, and I had to actively get her attention just to be allowed to exit the store. That is not normal, and it is not okay. Walking in already felt wrong. I genuinely thought the store was closed because someone had to open the barrier for me to enter. That alone set off alarms. Walking out was worse. Standing there, blocked by a rope, waiting to be acknowledged so I could leave a public retail store felt degrading and uncomfortable. No customer should feel trapped, monitored, or controlled just to exit a store. Whether or not receipts are checked is irrelevant. The issue is the loss of basic autonomy. I should be able to come in and out freely, period. I am not blaming the employees personally. This is clearly a policy and leadership issue. But policies reflect the values of a business, and this setup says a lot. It communicates distrust, hostility, and a complete lack of respect for customers. I've shopped at Burlington for years and never experienced anything like this at older locations. This feels like a sharp decline in standards and customer dignity. This is not how a respectable business operates. The environment feels tense, unwelcoming, and frankly embarrassing for a retail brand. Being forced to wait for permission to leave made me feel lumped into a category I don't belong in, and I will not accept that treatment as a customer. This setup alone tells me everything I need to know about the direction of this store. People deserve to be warned. If you are okay with being herded into a barrier, waiting to be noticed, and feeling confined just to leave a store, then maybe this place won't bother you. For me, this experience was enough to make sure I don't come back. It's unacceptable, and it should seriously concern anyone who values being treated with basic respect. It's very unfortunate because like I said this Burlington in the old store was a staple growing up because of the selection and value. You can always find good deals.

Value is in the eye of the beholder!…read more There are deals if you look for them. This mall like many other malls nationwide, is slowly disappearing. There is even a page that posts about all the closed malls. It's on FB if you want to look for it. It's sad really, if you think about it. Where will you go when there are no more malls to go hang out on a Saturday afternoon? Or when you have teens full of energy that just need a safe and non threatening environment? Where will you go if you just want to get out of the house for a couple hours and maybe get a snack or meet a friend after work ? Bars are not the only places to hang out. Although, those are quietly disappearing too. If you'd like to keep this mall, social space, and have a place to hang out like we did before 2020 told you to stay home and pushed online, ama zon shopping on you. It was planned. Go see how much ama zon is worth now. I digress. The mall is a community center for gathering. Of course there are parks, but what about when it rains or it's too hot outside ? Come on we live in the valley. The summer can be very hot and we need to geo somewhere to cool down. Right ? The mall needs more visitors to stay alive. Stop buying online: Plus, by coming in person you support jobs. Jobs are scarce these days. Very scarce. I know several people looking for jobs. Let's not give them excuses to close down. I'm just sharing because lots of places are closing down and it's not ok. Communities thrive when small businesses and local businesses are thriving. Do you want those community to vanish or will you come support it at least on the weekends here and there ? So what do you say ? Come down for a stroll ? Let's go get lemonade or a cinnamon roll YUMMMM ! You can always come for walk after having Portos next door, too. Just saying & giving you ideas. If you agree let's be friends :) Happy New Year 2026! Happy yelping ! SYOY ! SHARE :)

But I can at least guarantee that the mall is always lively and there's plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around and across the street too. What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you're already here, might as well enjoy malls before more of them perish.
