I can't ever remember a time when she was out of the office, even though it is expected on occasion as she is human. What I like most about Dr Gatson is how she sits down and truly listens, even though she may be typing on her laptop during our conversation. I understand that. Otherwise, she may forget some of the details of our conversation. She is a great diagnostician, but never fails to refer you out to a specialist if necessary. The medications she has prescribed to me seem on point. I've never had ANY complaints against this physician. EVER. I wouldn't hesitate to refer any of my family and friends to Dr Gatson. As far as I am concerned, she ranks as one of the very best. Oh... I almost forgot to add... this may be important to those who only have a limited time to see the doctor. You might have somewhat of a long wait to get called back to an exam room. And then another wait in the exam room. This wait does not bother me, as I know she is only spending one on one time with her other patients and to me, that is what it's all about. Because then I know I'm going to get that same thorough attention. I always clear my morning or afternoon when I have an appointment with Dr April Gatson. And lastly, but certainly not least, her nurse, Daisy, is sweet and takes good care of me. So if you are looking for a thorough, compassionate, accommodating, attentive and delightful family physician, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr April Gatson.

I recently moved to Texas after being with the same doctor in Florida for seven years. I had all of my medical records transferred, including my history with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, and severe sleep issues. Over the past year, I have gone through significant life events, including the loss of both parents and a divorce, making consistent and reliable care especially important. From the beginning, communication with this office has been difficult. I have called numerous times seeking assistance and often felt dismissed. When I asked if the doctor could return my call, I was told she "doesn't usually call patients back," which was discouraging given my situation. There have also been ongoing issues with my medications. Initially, I was only prescribed my antidepressant despite providing my full medical history. At one point, I lost my antidepressant and contacted the office to request a refill in order to avoid withdrawal symptoms. I was told by staff that Lexapro is a controlled substance and could not be refilled, which is untrue. Overall, the level of support and clarity provided has been inconsistent. I understand that policies and regulations exist, and I am willing to follow appropriate steps. However, the lack of communication and professionalism has made it difficult to receive proper care. I will be seeking care elsewhere. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, staff training, and patient support--especially for those managing serious mental health conditions.

Beware Christus Clinics are under the conglomerate umbrella of the "Mother Ship" have no loyalty to their patients. The majority are broken english, foreign and or black doctors and FNP's. (Half doctors) If you speak up for your own care, they will drop you from their system! You must always conform and yield to CTC. All of their clinics are "hidden" under one name. This is a medical take-over and cannot benefit the patients. Rather, it tramples our rights and endangers our lives. We are forced to see UNQUALIFIED doctors and FNP's! I have been cast out of their system twice because I objected to their methods. One MD female called another hospital and had my surgery there cancelled! (2016-2017) ALL DOCUMENTED!

I ran out of my BP medicine Losartan and she would not order it. She said, "I will not reorder because I did not prescribe you this." I cannot believe she would not refill my BP medicine that I have been taking for years. So, back looking for a new primary care physician and this time...an MD. They can reorder my medicine. If you are 70 years old...make sure the person you see can order your medicine.

How often do you get text messages saying you owe money to some organization and need to pay it immediately???? Next, the first formal notification was several months after the fact and included half a dozen office visits that were now past due. Next, one bill that was sent actually had the wrong date of service and the billing department actually saw no issue with that, EVEN THOUGH THEIR OWN RECEIPTS DON'T EVEN SAY WHAT THE BILL IS FOR. The receipt only says you paid this much on this date. Not what you paid for. I refer you to several applicable laws that require certain information on medical bills. I suggest that you start following them before you end up getting fined.

She was also very nurturing and compassionate and she cared for me as if i were her only patient. But....the doctor who treated me went above and beyond in my opinion and he made me feel like a person and not just a patient. His name is Dr. Freimer and with the exception of a couple of other doctor's ive seen there, he is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! He was so attentive and compassionate. He took the time to actually listen to me and then did what he felt was best for my care while accepting my input. He was thorough and extremely kind and I am so thankful that he was the doctor who was there that day. He is genuine, he listens, he is calm, patient, and kind. On top of that he is extremely intelligent. He knows what he is doing and made me feel secure when delivering my child.
