I specifically asked if I should do the other stuff first or would the trans fix the problem they said trans had to be done first, I get it back 3 weeks later and it drove the exact same if not worse. they said they test drove it but the odometer said 1.1 miles. so it obviously wasn't driven long enough to know. picked it up and only made it 2 miles away to take it back to them for them to tell me to go to another place work it was actually fixed for the real problem, untrustworthy people who don't deserve your hard earned money. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

He then asked me what was done to the car and asked if the car was tuned and i had to tell him multiple times the car has been tuned. He called me the next day and told me he tried 4 times and it wouldnt work then proceeded to try and sell me a transmission that was rebuilt with a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. I get there to pick up the car and he tells me that him having to try so many times reset the tune on the car to the factory tune. And then tells me the transmission he wants to sell me i have to pay first and wait for him to get the transmission and its a used transmission with over 100k miles and for me to run it in my car I can't put my stall converter on it cause it voids the warranty and the transmission is 2800$. So now my car doesn't run transmission still doesn't work and I'm out 1300 for the tune plus the 300 i had to pay him to screw up my car. They told me I had a bubble in one tire, & they were "feathering". I had them check the brakes, & they MEASURED the brakes pads at 3 mm, which indicated they needed replacing. Tires were on sale. So I replaced! My Master mechanic son-in-law, When he had taken a look at my tires & heard my story, said: "You need to find a new place to take your car." Wasted $175!

Upon my arrival I was greeted promptly and kindly, and my van was taken back to the garage within 5 minutes. Within 30 minutes the culprit (a nail) had been found, my tire was fixed and I was on my way. Will; the owner, is a super nice guy who obviously wants and appreciates your business. It is literally the most immaculate service center I have ever been to. My husband uses Port City Auto Care for the service and repair needs of our business' fleet and is so happy with them that he refers others to PCAC on a regular basis. I currently have a pre-paid maintenance agreement with Toyota for my routine services, but as soon as it expires and for all other needs I will go to Port City from now on. For some reason they found it necessary to do an "inspection" on the car, where they look for anything else that might be an issue. They knew what my car was there for but wasted all of our time going through this. AND charged $129 for this service! I find that to be a shady business practice and when questioned they reduced the $129 by half for me. How kind. So they decided that I needed rear shocks and rear tires due to sporadic contact with the road due to the shock issue. After paying $1,002, I drove my car home only to hear the same sound was still there! I was told it must now need a suspension control arm. So I brought the car back to have that done.. While they had the car apart, they discovered that actually wasn't what was needed but instead the problem was a small part, possibly called a shock topper. So I would need that part - yes, that was the problem. I couldn't help but wonder if that was the problem from the start and new shocks and tires were not necessary...? because as soon as that $66 part was replaced, the noise was gone. They didn't charge me for labor for that, I only had to pay for the part. I wonder why. I also needed a hanging wire secured in the front of the car. Which was done. But a week later, the wire is now hanging once again. I would not recommend this place as I feel they Yes you to death and are verbally accommodating but I don't know if they actually knew what they were doing. This job cost me money that I literally did not have and it has left me feeling upset and taken advantage of.

Thompson Towing sent a text with an ETA of 12:53 PM. Then the delays started. First, they pushed the ETA to 1:54 PM. Then to 2:55 PM. When I called to check, the representative simply said they had to "move things around"--meaning my wait time was pushed even further. At 3:30 PM, the driver finally called to say he was on the way but Work out a little bit I moved it hey buddy, hey buddy would take 45 minutes since he was across town. But unbelievably, at 3:50 PM, he called back saying he got another call! I am not exaggerating--this actually happened. It's clear to me that Thompson Towing does not care about Geico or its customers. I told Geico to put a note in my account never to send them again. If you're in need of timely roadside assistance, I strongly recommenend looking elsewhere.
