Located on the corner of Hastings and Commercial Drive, this is the inexpensive glass installation and replacement business that you go to when someone breaks a window at your house party. Very friendly service, and quick to fill orders. Other services include glass tinting, store front installation, and graffiti removal, which is totally reasonable considering that for over 15 years they've had the same sweet graffiti on the side of their store. It's by Virus, one of Vancouver's most respected spray paint artists, one of the very few who's ever gotten paid for "vandalism" and not thrown in jail. You've probably seen it from the bus a million times, so you might as well go there when you grow up and need to install storm windows to save on your heating bill.

After four days of stripping paint, I broke the glass! :-(

I called Mike at VG and they had a guy there within the hour to clean up and secure the premises.

I remember one year for Christmas I got a Tonka truck, this year I got a broken window. Between…read moreyou and me, I liked the Tonka truck a lot more. In such situations I'm lucky enough to have a know it all neighbor who actually does know it all. Over to Bill's Glass I went, broken window under my arm and a head calculating how long I'd have to eat instant noodles to pay for this repair (answer: 18.5 weeks). As it turns out, the process was shockingly simple and affordable. They looked at the window, told me a price (much lower than my fearful guess) and he said I should go get some lunch and come back in 45 minutes. Whaaaaaaaaaat? 45 minutes? Lunch? "Ok, I can do that" and do that I did. Tummy filled with food I came back to find my window repaired and I was on my way. The End.

I purchased an antique mirror at an auction. Naturally it fell off the wall shortly after I hung it…read moreup. (Which was a shame, as it was that slightly sparkly "old" glass.) An antique store across the street sent me to Bill's when I asked about replacement. The young man with whom I initially spoke was awesome - I told him what I was looking for and the approximate size and he gave me a very reasonable quote. I assured him that any old piece of mirror would do - the antique I had was relatively small and I was looking for a quick-and-dirty solution to my haphazard hanging job. About a week later I came in and picked up my mirror, which looked great. I paid in cash and they took $5 off so I paid exactly what I was quoted. Quick, affordable, reliable, cheerful service from a mom-and-pop business. I'd definitely go back.
