My experience with Central Windows has been overwhelmingly disappointing. I was promised…read moreegress-compliant windows, but two of the new windows don't even meet egress requirements. One window is almost impossible to open because the winder is out of reach, and they installed the wrong window in my kitchen--one meant for a bedroom. It was clear there was no attention to detail, and the overall workmanship was poor. The financial terms were outrageously unfair. In the first year alone, $1,700 went to interest and only $200 came off the total, while my payments barely made a dent. The windows are not Energy Star rated, and the final price was $2,500 higher than my original quote. Furthermore, Central refused to provide proof of purchase or details on any rebates. After all this, I received a new competing quote for top-quality, triple-pane windows--fully to code and egress standards. Not only is this quote $3,000 cheaper for the same work, but these windows are also eligible for a $950 rebate per window. I paid $15,000 for only half of my house's windows with Central, when I could have had much higher quality, code-compliant windows for a fraction of the price. The outcome of Central's poor installation and misleading terms means I now have a three-bedroom house instead of five, affecting my property value by potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars. To top it all off, they included a balloon payment of nearly $14,000 after five years, on a contract that was inflated after signing--and several windows don't even function correctly. Subsequent home inspection sound of the alarm testing the windows and determining that they were no better than single payment. Terms of view value and replacement recommended only four months after the new windows were installed.?? I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. There are far better, more transparent, and reputable options available that will deliver on quality, compliance, and value. I will enact legal action as the rep D Damon has refused to provide any warranty or remedy.

I was referred to A1 by a friend of mine who used A1 a few years ago for her new windows. The installers were very polite. The supervisor inspected each installed window with me to make sure I was satisfied. When I asked about the caulking on one of the windows, the supervisor brought over the installer to redo it and then got the installer to check all the other windows to ensure they were OK by the time I inspected the windows with the supervisor. All I can say is wow!

I was surprised by the fast response and quick estimate that Jon gave us and after careful consideration we decided to go ahead with the project and are really glad we did. Jon and his crew took care of every little detail and Jon made a great job at communicating with us all throughout the process. He always did what he said he would do, came to measure several times to make sure everything was right, found us the right material and trim color to match our needs and took care of the installation and finishing. I can assure you this wasn't an easy job but Jon and his crew definitely exceeded our expectations. We are so happy with our new windows and will definitely recommend North Shore Windows to anybody who needs a window or a door. If you need someone to do the job right, on time and for the right price call Jon!

From start to finish the work was a disaster…read more They were always late, no communication from the office had to constantly call to find out where they were. Fun fact they are willing to delay a job and make it run over because they had another delivery. This meant that I had to go to an apartment for a third day, cost and time that we will not be seeing again. The job was supposed to take 2 days and was finally finished in 3 with some of the shoddiest work I have even seen. We were using a finance company and we asked they hold off on payment until the work was rectified. They asked for me to send evidence of the work, we sent the 29 photos and they immediately put a hold on the payment. The rudeness of office staff was 2nd to none! I sent through all the images and has no response for 4 days, I then receive a call completely ignoring the images telling me to pay. I am sure if I had not put a hold on the payment that is the last we would have heard. The only way to truly fix the windows would have been to rip them out and start again. We paid extra for grey windows and the frames were so damaged (all corners cracked off) also paint scrapped off on multiple areas on every window, fly screens joins not even meeting. They said they would send a man to 'fix' the windows, I said that there was no way in the world I would have have the installers back and I emailed asking for confirmation they would be here at 10am and who was attending. I received no response and then at 9.30 (in the middle of a meeting) they rang the bell. Who is there, a man with the original installers. They have filled all the cracks with silicon which is not what we paid for, the kitchen window with its unfitting strips has been left. So damaged by the installers I have little confidence in the longevity of the windows. White paint that the spilled over the garden slabs that they did not clean up. I hope no one has to go through the pain with this despicable company.
