After being several weeks late, they delivered and installed the wrong colour countertop then refused to cover the cost of installing the sinks or faucets telling the customer that it was their fault that the on site contractors didn't know it was the wrong material. installation was generally sloppy and messy. Instead of resin to fill seems, they used silicone without bothering to wipe up the overflow. when chips appeared throughout Alan "discharges their moral obligation" to the customer. read more

We shopped all over for a good leftover piece for our new vanity and found a nice Caesarstone at Spectrum. Within a few days they measured, fabricated, and installed nicely! This company has just completed our kitchen counter tops (Island and Sink) with Quartz. I can honestly say I have never experienced such an amazing group of people who did the work for us. Our contractor, Billy Boyes (Boyes Contracting) was the one who introduced us to Spectrum Stone to check out the quartz designs. The workers were professional , respectful and definitely had full knowledge of what they were doing. I have never experienced such a hard working crew. They had to put in some over time and they did it willingly and without a whimper. They went over and above their duties and I want to thank them for all the work they did. Billy Boyes came so well and highly recommended (and he too did not disappoint) and the entire job has been a wonderful success. I don't know much about granite or counter tops but when I moved into my brand new condo this Spring I was really disappointed with the counter tops in my master bathroom. It was an ugly shade of brown and also stained very easily. I drive by this place quite regularly as it's right in between my office and the Starbucks so I stopped by on my break for a quick quote and to pick their brain on how I could improve the look and feel of my bathroom. The granite surface they recommended was a similar colour that didn't clash with my walls or drawers but was also much easier to maintain. My bathroom seriously looks so much better and I've already recommended this to some of my neighbours who felt the same way. Stanley and his team took good care of me and although it was perhaps a smaller job they never made me feel like I was wasting their time. I felt the price was fair, and if I'm honest was less than what I budgeted for the job. Hopefully I won't have to do any more renovations for a while but at least next time I know who to go to! read more

Barely one star is what this company deserves! Mind you, I have never given such a harsh comment on any company until now. They 100% deserves it!! The only saving grace is perhaps I was exposed to a supplier, "Aeon Stone", other companies don't suggest. I have selected a slab of soapstone for my kitchen counter top, after much consideration and research. Price may be good with this company, but you pay for what you get. The whole process is a nightmare to me, it took weeks and many proddings on the owner for him to even come to my place for measurements and advice. The owner was so busy that he forgot about the schedule for the installation of the kitchen counters and bathroom vanity counters, that my plan of renovation was all upset. They were late for a whole week! The installation at the end was substandard, the edges on the soapstone around the sink were not straight, the exposed underside of the counter-top that protrudes into the living room were rough. What should have been properly done in their workshop had to be done in a half-hearted way in my suite, creating so much dust, that it is so messy to clean up. There were so many imperfections on the installation that it just does not seem to be the workmanship of anybody professional in this field. Damages were done by the installers on the kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinet doors, that were newly installed. All in all, except for the material I have chosen, a dark green colour soapstone and the blue pearl granite, which I like, the whole process of dealing with these people was a nightmare to me. I would rather spending a little more on better workmanship and higher professional standard! read more

I had a great experience using this company. From measurement to installation it took about a week. We had granite installed for our kitchen and all the washrooms. I had my island and waterfall (drop down?) and the veining of the stone matched perfectly. read more

This company will rob you blind. They miss scheduled appointments, product is poor never mind having to pay out of pocket to rehire outside/personal contractors to fix their poor installation. Their level of professionalism is a disgrace. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Begrudgingly, it was finished. Professionalism is learned through experience....that is what you pay for, however, the number of years in the business does not seem to be reflected in the process in our case. Our commitment to ourselves was to ADD GOOD VALUE to our Retirement Suite of $80,000. Together with OUR Tastes and Referred GOOD WORKMANSHIP we had hoped it might LOOK LIKE $100,000.....well, you had better know what you REALLY WANT AND DEMAND IT......otherwise, have them replace it. Our fear was that we felt that more damage to our Kitchen cabinets would occur.....that was not worth the risk. I ask you, "If you had a TAILOR make a suit for you.....you would expect it to fit...at the shoulders, in the arm pits, across the back, across the chest and of course the length ..... just to the point that allows a half inch of shirt cuff. That is not unreasonable? is it? STONE is the media. Experts work with it! CUT to fit into the space previously WELL MEASURED! Not to allow 1/8" gap between the gleaming wood cabinets and the Vein-like Patterned Soapstone Backsplash to be filled with a black caulking!!! Yes, I saw three guys struggle to place the Soapstone TOP for the kitchen sink.....that....fit right on....and it should....BUT the so-called "Finished Product" still had the Unsafe Originally cut corners facing the Dining Room as well as the "Underside" still had the original MESH BACKING that could be seen sitting at the dining room table. The Owner himself had to come in at yet another time, a week later to GRIND with a rotary disk sander, free-hand to SAND OFF, the MESH BACKING to the abutting gyproc wall..... Needless to say, which caused damage to that wall that required the Painter to return to fill-in the gaps and repaint. This (fiberglass MESH backing could have Soooo easily be done "In The Shop" when that TOP could have been laid Overturned to have easy access to the MESH BACKING and use a Belt sander to render the removal.) And it would have been SO GOOD to be ON TIME to have that SLAB put in place BEFORE THE PAINTERS CAME!!! At This Point: I question The person who referred me to them, I question the "Expert" on site as being the EXPERT and I question what they promise me!!! And to think: As MY SHOWPIECE, whenever anyone comes to visit and notices THAT GAP...and Oh.....FOR MY WISHES.....I had asked for a 2" Overhang but I only got 1"....but it is TOO LATE NOW. Rather than look at OUR FEATURE "Stone Art-work" and sigh with a heavy sigh of Satisfaction, I shall remember vividly this Frustrating Process and see.....THAT GAP, The Overhang, .....and the Final In-House Remediation of the MESH when sitting at that dining table EACH DAY. Herein, I have given my referral to you.....Hire the Hands, but YOU MUST BE THE DIRECTOR AND WATCH HOW THEY DO IT TO ENSURE THAT YOU WILL BE SATISFIED. If this is important to you, then you have nothing else better to do...... The next time, we shall know what to do!
