Unfortunately, I can not recommend this business because they refuse to warranty their service beyond 30 days on a product that sees occasional use such as a trailer. I originally tried Vance Hitches as an alternative to another local trailer service company that is somewhat overpriced. The original service was last winter in preparation for a trip to the midwest to pick up a car I had purchased. I had them replace the safety chains, the hitch tongue foot, repack the bearings and repair the brakes, as well as replace a couple of running lights. I also asked them to do a general check of the electrical wiring and connections. They ended up replacing the 7-pin connector (even though I was not having any problems with it) and supposedly completed the check. During the trip, I lost all running lights in wet weather and later lost all lights that caused my truck's towing fuse to blow multiple times. I took it back after returning only to learn that in addition to new running lights that were suddenly broken and allowed moisture in, there were a couple of shorted wires due to rubbing. Shouldn't this been discovered during the pre-trip check? After paying for the 2nd batch of work they did (now over $800 in expenses), the trailer was used one time in good weather and everything operated fine. The next use in wet weather caused a repeat in the shorting conditions and loss of lighting again. This was less than 90 days after the second repair, and the first time it had been used on wet roads, yet they refused to cover their work. There is clearly some kind of compromise in the integrity of the electrical system that I will now have to pay another shop to diagnose. read more
