Along with its neighbors, it offers an extensive outdoor dining area. The indoor facility is also nice having a lovely nostalgic feel with additional seating upstairs as well. My server did a rather good job during my visit. Using English was not a problem at all. The highlight of my meal was a terrific shrimp and tomato salad that was fresh and tasty. The shrimp were the small local variety which I find to be particularly enjoyable. The meal was accompanied by tasty frites, as would be expected in Belgium. I finished with a very nice coffee that topped things off in a very satisfying manner. The prices were not bad considering the overall dining experience. In general, It was an enjoyable time and a reasonably good meal. I am confident in recommending this restaurant as a good choice for good quality dining with a local flair.

It's certainly a charming little place, and on a slightly drizzly day it was a very pleasant place to be in from the cold and rain. The Mosselen Natuur (plain steamed mussels) were big, meaty, well-cleaned, and tasty, but if you're not a shellfish fan, the Stoofpotje van Varkenswangetjes (pork cheek stew) is a great choice. I'd say that this was the best meal I had in our trip to Belgium, definitely one I'd repeat if we visit Bruges again!
