There is a range with targets set up at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards. Additionally, there is a walk-through course in the woods with numerous targets at various distances and different elevations! The fee is $2 per day. If you become a member it's a $10 initiation fee and then a $30 annual fee...come as often as you want in a year. If you want lights at dark for the range, bring your quarters to operate the lights...$1 in quarters turns on the lights for half an hour.

Brought my son in to pick up my bow and they took the time to get his bow tuned to him. They figured out that his sight was mounted in the wrong available holes, which is why he was out of adjustment. I had just purchased the bow from a pawn shop. Now he's dialed at 40 yards!

Jay St. Charles makes and sells beautiful wood bows from bamboo and hardwood. He also offers…read moremake-your-own-bow workshops at very reasonable prices (currently $70 per bow,) for all ages. Working out of his barn, he makes the blanks, and workshop participants scrape, sand, and finish the bow. He has an archery range set up for shooting, and usually organizes several other bowyers to help with the workshops. Our school has participated annually in a workshop since 2006, and the 6th grade students are completely engaged and enthusiastic about their bows. Jay and his crew are knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, and have lots of stories and artifacts to share. These are artisans with skills that are hard to find. I highly recommend the workshop for anyone interested in archery, and owning their own bow.

Long story short, this old man stroked my arm, puckered his lips, and full on planted a kiss on my bruise that I had received from the bow. I was flabbergasted. Ted also laced his fingers with my friend mid high five. We also witnessed him guiding a lady with a hand on her lower back. These were not necessary actions needed for instructional support.

Sign in at a shelf in the clubhouse wall and leave your money in the box mounted on the wall. It is an honor system thing. To the right of the clubhouse is a graduated distance outdoor range although you shoot from a covered area. Targets are stacked hay bails within lean to type structures. The sign out front says they are open 7 days a week, no hours but pretty much can assume daylight. To the left of the clubhouse there is an outdoor walking range through the woods. The trails are fairly level and marked as accessible. Most stations have distance markers and there are some boardwalks over the seasonally wet areas. Lots of variety as to terrain so bring some extra practice arrows as if you miss the target completely, at some of the stations it would be tough to find them in the woods.
