So two nephews of Kenneth Black arrived quicker than what we were told, used their camera and located the blockage. I tried to pay them and they said NO CHARGE!!! I said well I don't have any cash but please take a tip of my debit card. They said no, no tip. These two men were polite, courteous, knowledgeable and just super great employees. I went to their web site at 8 AM Sunday and left a message online at 8:09 AM I received a phone call from them with an appointment at 3PM Sunday afternoon with no overtime or weekend surcharge. At about 2PM I got another call saying they could be at my house at 2:20 PM, if I was available. Ken arrived exactly when they said he would. He looked at the water heater and diagnosed the problems and then gave me my options, let me make the decision no high-pressure sales tactics. I decided to replace the water heater expecting it would be Monday before they could replace it. Ken said he could have a new water heater at my house in 30 minutes and replace it this afternoon. Amberlee drove up 30 minutes later and about an hour later I had a new water heater completely installed. While waiting for Amberlee Ken disconnected the old water heater and added a pressure valve to my main waterline. This was the best experience I have ever had dealing with any service company of any type. Ken was very nice and pleasant to deal with, very friendly, When Amberlee arrived, she was the exact same way, friendly, nice and great to talk to. I think Ken has developed a great culture of customer service in his company. The workmanship was great price was fair. This will be the only Plumbing company I will use from now on.

My issue lies in that I've asked on both visits for additional work to be quoted by the tech. Not asking for it to be done that day, just to get me a price estimate to give them more work. Both techs took photos and notes, said they'd get back to me with that estimate. Nothing. Months apart, have followed up with the office requesting an update and was told the tech would get in touch with me, still crickets. Sadly I'll choose to use someone else going forward for future work on my numerous homes that actually wants the work and I'm not seen as begging to give them money I guess.

Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more They did not pull a permit, did not follow code and because of that almost caused our house to catch on fire and leaked carbon monoxide into our home. I originally was going to let them fix the problems, but then I decided not to have them back in my home due to safety reasons. Their unqualified worker cut a live wire to my recessed lighting in my basement and then took that live wire uncapped and tucked it up into the ceiling without telling me then he installed the hot water heater improperly. I did not know any of this until my kids told me that the lights in the basement were not working so I thought that was really odd. I called my electrician and he came over and he almost got electrocuted because of what this guy had done and my electrician told me something is not right about this and you need to get their work checked out. He said I was so lucky my house did not catch on fire. I then told him the name of the company and he says oh no they have a really bad reputation. Shame on me for not checking reviews and I trusted someone that referred them. I then called my home inspector and had him come out and take a look at all of the work that was done, and we found some pretty major code violations and safety violations that could've been deadly. Because there was evidence that the wire he cut caught on fire. I actually have a picture of it where you can see it clearly caught on fire when he cut it. Other issues also because of the way that the hot water heater was installed I had carbon monoxide going into my home and my home inspector told me to shut it down immediately he was surprised we were still alive because my HVAC is in that same closet which feeds my main level. I then called the county inspector and had them come over and check all of the work so I have very qualified, third-party reports of all of the wrongdoing that this company did and the risk that it caused on my family. I had to pay a lot of money to have all of these things fixed. They also cut a hole in my brick of my house and didn't tell me and left it completely exposed and open to the elements and to animals that could've gotten in inside my basement walls. They also did not cap the pipe properly that is venting my sump pump that they installed. I did all of my homework and have it all documented. According to these other reviews, that's her protocol is to just ignore once I saw other people posting reviews on here of this company doing very dangerous things. So, I felt it was my duty to make a change. Julie guy is the owner and runs the business under her other peoples names from what my attorney is finding. When I pull her son Albert Guy who is doing work for her he is not a licensed plumber as of June 2025. They did the work on my home in 2024. BUYER BEWARE!

He also left the toilet off the flange where sewer gases were left to permeate the house. He told me what was required. I was to get a quote the same day, and the more experienced plumber was to be dispatched to my home on Wednesday morning. Come Wednesday, I didn't hear anything from Xpress Rooter and had to reach out to them around noon to see if the other plumber was coming out, and I informed them I had yet to receive the estimate. I finally received the quote for the services the first plumber recommended, which was different from what was needed and would have caused significant damage to my sewer line, which would need to be replaced. The more experienced plumber, David Artmen, arrived on Thursday and told me what was quoted was not required and spent around 7 hours fixing my clog. He repaired it and re-installed my toilet. Later I got the invoice which was a fair price; however, I requested that they deduct what I had already paid for the first visit because the issue was not rectified, and my family was exposed to methane gas from the sewer line, which is a health hazard. They refused and conferenced David in on the call. David confirmed everything, and then they muted me because he confirmed what I had told them. They felt I should have paid significantly more than what David had charged. This company is super shady. They wanted to charge me for what was quoted. If they had performed the items on the quote, they would have destroyed my sewer line, and I would have had to pay around $6000 or more to repair what they had broken. So I am thankful David came out, was honest, and had the integrity not to perform the tasks that would have destroyed my line and charged me a fair price. The owner Quintana (Queen), is unprofessional, super shady, and tried to rip me off. I should not have to be skilled in plumbing to know if a plumbing company is taking advantage of me. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy; however, I would recommend David Artmen to perform any plumbing work because he is fair, honest, and has integrity. They said they would need to break through the tiled bathroom shower inside the house to access the pipes inside the wall to replace the faucet at a cost of thousands of dollars. I contacted Van and described the problem. He came the next day. The leak was repaired within an hour. No bashing through the shower tiles or cutting through walls required; just a few replacement parts installed in the existing outdoor faucet and the problem was solved. Van was as nice as he could be and we really appreciate that he solved the problem so efficiently without destroying my Mom's shower.
