He is not highly trained enough to handle more difficult cases. Some of his suggestions are not correct. I think being under Excela Health doesn't allow them to be autonomous. Unfortunately even with their best efforts, this practice is underperforming. I would keep looking.

Dr. Glasser is one of the best physicians I have ever encountered! After seeing two other…read moredermatologists over the last year for a very painful rash, Dr. Glasser took it seriously and prescribed a course of treatment that gave me immediate relief from pain and itching and appears to have cleared up the problem for now. I found Dr. Glasser and his assistant Wendy to be funny, comforting and very direct. I would recommend Dr. Glasser to my family and friends.

Last year, I had 3 moles removed by Liz., all of which turned out to be mild dysplasia. That experience was fine and I would have loved to have returned to see either Liz or Dr. Pica. Unfortunately, the physician's assistant is no longer at this office. I was scheduled for a six month check-up, which I cancelled. I decided that I would go for my yearly check up and leave it at that. My first issue began this past February, when I received a rather hefty bill from the office, associated with having the moles removed...last June. I called the office to see why I was receiving a bill this late when I already received a bill from the lab last year in July. I was told by the receptionist that they had to send my info over to my insurance company twice, because the first time the insurance company never responded to them with how much they would cover. I found this hard to believe...insurance companies always seem to respond quickly, especially when it's in their best interest and they are getting paid. But whatever, maybe there was an oversight or an error. However, I still found it odd that it took over eight months to get a bill. My next issue occurred when I scheduled an appointment for both me and my husband: me, for a check up and him to look at a few moles. (Can never be too careful, the older you get! lol). At any rate, I tried to make the two of us appointments back to back, which was near impossible. I was on the phone with the woman for at least 10 minutes just trying to coordinate a time. we could both be seen. I ended up having to reschedule a dentist appointment in order to fit me and my husband in. Also, we had to schedule with Dr. Glasser, whom I had never met in all of years of coming here, but I didn't mind at the time. We arrived a few minutes before our schedule appointment times and the H was asked to fill out paperwork, since it was his first visit. We only waited a few minutes, but were then asked to come back together. I thought this was strange and stated this to the nurse. She asked if we were uncomfortable being seen together. Sure, we're husband and wife, but still...how many people take someone with them to the doctor's office? I will sum up my experience of meeting Dr. Glasser as briefly as possible, because I could truly go on for a great while. He barely looked at my areas of concern. He did not look at the 3 spots where moles were removed until I mentioned them. He asked my husband what he did for a living, and you'd think he worked for NASA or something spectacular. The doc asked my husband so many questions pertaining to his job, that I ended up making a comment to him about it. (You're a little obsessed with this, aren't you?) He removed two moles from my husband, one almost forgetting to numb first, because he was busy talking. Luckily, the nurse (who was friendly) stopped him before he slice a mole off my husband's back with no shot. I found Dr. Glasser's bedside manner to be nonexistent. He was talkative, but was abrupt when answering questions. I had to ask him how to care for the spots he removed on my husband, since he didn't offer any instructions. Overall, I would only return under the following conditions: I couldn't find another dermatologist that I liked in the area and only if I could see Dr. Pica.

I have been going to the Mt pleasant location for the last 5 years and I have noticed a rapid decline in patient care . I hate to be negative but after my visit today I have to share with other parents that are considering taking their little ones there. I am an educated person and I know my child's health inside and out and when I tried to express my concerns I was talked over by the physician , not to mention he talked to me like I was a child and didn't know anything ! Oh, and he didn't wash his hands or use sanitizer after touching the keyboard! I agree with other reviews about front desk , that is the first person you see when going into an office , the least they could do is smile and try to be polite. Also, the medical assistant didn't even take my daughters temperature! ( which she had a slight fever because I took it at home before I left ) One more thing .... I was there an hour and 15 minutes ! Totally unacceptable when there are employees on there cell phones behind the front desk. I obviously will not be returning , and I hope that the parents reading this do some research before taking their little ones here.
