A friend uses this salon. I came in & the lady at the desk was friendly. Once I sat down, the younger male who was going to do my nails instantly had a ticked off attitude. Not just not friendly, he came off as though he hates his job or was aggravated to work on my nails! I understand language barriers. However, it doesn't take a lot to be friendlier to clients. He did an acceptable job on my nails which was more important I guess. I only tipped 10%, but would have done more had he been nicer. I'm gonna be a one & done here. read more

A few ladies from the facebook group I'm part of recommended this place, and let me tell you... best $120 I've spent on my nails since moving here. All the other places I've been to did not compare to my experience at Van Nails. I found my new nail home Atima did my deluxe pedicure with collagen treatment + gel ($55) and Michael did my full set acrylic with shellac polish ($50) and NAILED it, literally. Looks exactly like the picture I showed him for inspo. My husband also got a MANicure ($15) and was very pleased! read more

if I could give this place zero stars I would. went for a pedicure with my friend who is a loyal customer to the company. We noticed the workers seemingly making snarky comments in their language and laughing but weren't judging because we didn't understand what they were saying. well, my friend gets done with her pedicure while they were still finishing up mine. she walks past one of the workers and he says "boom boom boom" I guess insinuating her weight. it was a younger guy, but it was still completely unprofessional Regardless. When normally she tips really well she didn't leave anything because of the comment. neither of us will be back. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! I went here on Sunday only because they were open and no one else was. This was the second time I've been here. The first time they made me keep my nails long, everyone I kept trying to cut shorter they barely would trim off any. I ended up losing my real thumb nail because I hit it on something and it popped off with the fake nail! But I decided to give them another go. This time was so bad! There's pictures. I asked for a French manicure but black on tips. I got that but some of the nails are crooked. She took one off and redid it but still came out crooked! And she cut me several times with file and cuticle cutter! I'm a cashier and my hands have been hurting from this! I paid 55 dollars including tip ! Even my older sister said they look bad. After sitting for over an hour and dealing with pain you'd think it would be the best nails ever! NOPE! Never again. And I suggest no one goes there!! read more

Have you ever walked into a nail salon and you the lady next you getting a cool cat eye design or a chrome look on their nails ... you have never seen it before but are intrigued and want the same thing but not sure what to ask for. Maybe you have tried but the nail tech is confused by what you are asking. Not here! I have visited 4 nail salons in the Cabot area, the first three either had no clue what I was asking for, mistakenly told me they couldn't do a simple design and none of their acrylics stayed on my nails. I came into Vans a little skeptical but have visited three times and each time they offer a new design or add on they didn't have before. They are friendly and welcoming and ALWAYS do a good job. I have no doubts that if I get Pinterest crazy and show them a design/ technique I feel in love with they would try to accommodate me. I highly recommend trying them out!!! read more

Went in for a simple manicure and polish. I get regular polish so I can easily remove it for my job. I was asked at least 8 times if I was sure I didn't want shellac. The nail tech didn't do the same treatment on both hands nor Did she bother to file the nails evenly. I have several that are at an angle. Then I was told to sit at the drying station and a different tech would paint my nails. Which she did, while she stood at my side with me awkwardly holding my hand at a weird height. All in all I felt like they rushed through me bc I didn't get a pricier service to move on to someone else. Won't be going back. read more

I was supposed to have amazing Christmas nails but instead the guy I had did them way to fast and now they look like crap. I differently will not be going back. They have done amazing jobs on my nails before but I am not going back and I will not have a friend go to them. read more

They keep seating people and don't finish the jobs they start. I was sat down to get my toes done and half way through I was told someone else would finish my toes while that person went and started a new client. There was about 6 of us it happened to. Anytime a new customer walked in, they would seat them right away to avoid them leaving because they were busy. So the rest of us were there way longer than need be. I watched 4 people walk out in the TWO hours it took to get a manicure and pedicure and was seated right away. I would never go back read more
