Thought I had a tiny chip. It turned out to be tree sap, which was removed at no charge. Fantastic polite and professional service.

Back in February 21/24 my Dodge Dakota was rear-ended and left me with a protruding out of shape…read morerear bumper. Reported the incident to ICBC immediately and was given the green light to have the bumper replaced. Long story short, I had tried three well known body shops in town which all had long waiting periods for the initial appointments. One after the other gave me the same story we can't find a replacement for the year of this truck. I am now at my wits end and driving on my way home I thought to stop at Craftsman Collision in retrospect I should have tried first. Fast forward four months later after getting the runaround from the other body shops I met with estimator Riley at CC and explained my situation. He immediately got his manager Matt Greenberg involved and within 10 minutes he had procured an aftermarket bumper that matched the original. Matt is a young and personable manager with very good and resourceful connections. Throughout the process his staff were cordial and responsive. After a few days in the shop I had a straight and shiny looking like new bumper. This is a very busy shop but if you want the job done right I highly recommend Matt and his capable staff to look after your vehicle.

We live partly in Toronto, and we have commented (in astonishment) that you'd NEVER NEVER get service like this in Toronto. On Tuesday afternoon I went in to get a simple, routine windshield chip fixed (smaller than the…read moresize of a dime). The technician went over a seemingly rehearsed speech where he "explained" that there was a possibility for the windshield to crack further when they tried to fix it. This explanation lasted a whole of 15 to 20 seconds. At which point he whipped out what looked to be a home-made form asking me to initial here and here agreeing that he talked about these risks. No time for questions, and he made it seem like a crack almost never happens. When he found out I don't have comprehensive insurance, he said, oh well then you don't have to sign this afterall. So I didn't sign it. We went in and he took my keys and got to work on the car. I sat in the office and worked on my laptop. 10 minutes later the secretary (she was the only nice person) came up to me and asked me to sign the form. I was genuinely confused and this seemed super weird to me, but I was also tied up with my work so I wasn't paying full attention. 5 minutes later, the technician came in and said the windshield had cracked. I was absolutely dumbfounded. He said he had put the resin in, walked away, came back and it had cracked. I asked what they could do for me especially since I didn't have insurance to cover a new windshield. So they gave me a quote of just under $400, which was half of what they said they charge ICBC if you file through insurance (irrelevant and TMI). I came in with a problem, they made my problem worse, refused to help me out (I even offered to pay for the new windshield if they would install it). I said they could expect a call from my husband because it felt like they weren't taking me seriously. We arranged a meeting with the owner (John) for the next day, Wednesday morning, hoping that he would be more reasonable. When we arrived, he walked out of the shop flanked by two big men in a triad formation (seriously??), and proceeded to mansplain to us what happened, how we were at fault and that I had signed my life away. It felt extremely hostile and agitated right from the start. He kept saying, "So what do you want from us". We responded, we want to sit down and talk with you about what happened. He refused (still outside). He kept saying that he was not going to replace our windshield free of charge - which we never asked for!!!! My husband and I could not believe what was happening. Almost immediately he started threatening to call the cops if we didn't leave. We said, that would be fine with us, we didn't do anything wrong! We came to talk to you like decent human beings about how you damaged our car and we wanted to resolve the situation. Comically the manager said, "There are people you can't talk to. There are some customers you need to fire, and I'm firing YOU [as he pointed his finger]!!!" Very Trump-esque. He went inside to call the cops and my husband followed him to make sure he was calling the cops, and he YELLED at my husband to get out. He said, "YOU CAN'T COME IN HERE." My husband, hopelessly confused and frustrated at this point, said "why??" The manager responded, "Because there are customers in here!" Did those people not have the right to know what was happening? As my husband stood in the doorway with his back turned to the inside, a middle aged man, raised his arms, and PUSHED my husbands shoulders so forcibly that my husband lost his balance. To give context, there was another exit on the side of the room he had just come from. This stranger, said that he had no choice because he was in his way. I responded, "You could have ASKED him and he would have moved for you!!!" When the police arrived, one cop went to each party to hear the story. When we were joined by the other policeman outside, both men agreed that if they were running a business, this would not be the way they would choose to run it. They were not happy to hear that someone had physically assaulted my husband. They even gave us a few recommendations, including to review this business online and to share our story. In the end, we are walking away with a crack in our windshield, and are losing faith that there are good people in this world. Of note: all the employees that I saw (at least twenty) were all Caucasian. All of the customers that I saw were Caucasian. We are not Caucasian. Moreover, as I was waiting on Tuesday for them to "fix" my windshield, I overheard some workers at the front desk referring to a group of their customers as "those Chinese guys". Made me very uncomfortable.

Because my claim has finally settled with my bank and car insurance, I am finally writing my…read morereview. My 2024 Audi Q5 needed a simple windshield repair. Alongside these newer cars, I learned the camera also needs to be recalibrated for lane assist & other features to function. All of my car's safety features were working prior to this appointment. Scheduling with Roger was fairly easy. He insisted that he worked on newer German cars all of the time, so I felt comfortable after seeing the positive reviews (side note: most of these reviews are for OLDER cars that do not need the recalibration). He was able to come replace my windshield within the week and then had me make an appointment with another guy (Jeff, whose business is Reign Calibrations) he works alongside to recalibrate the camera. Spoiler alert: he was unable to recalibrate the camera. So I contact Roger asking about next steps. He tells me these cars can be finicky and that he wanted to look at the installation again. I actually called Audi at this point and asked for one of their tech's opinions. They told me the gel pad almost always needs to be replaced. When I told Roger what Audi told me, he told me, and I quote: "Do not listen to Audi, because they just want your money." Don't listen to the people who work on these cars all day? Interesting. After this comment I was losing faith. Over the next couple of days, Roger and Jeff (the guy who does his windshield calibrations) changed the course of action for what they wanted to do about the situation several times. First, they wanted to take off the bracket, reinstall it, then try a recalibration. Then, they wanted to replace the gel pad and try again. Lastly, they wanted to put on a new windshield and try again. At this point I felt as though they were using my $50k car as a guinea pig and I'm very suspicious at this point. I ended up calling another auto glass company in the area and they gave me a lot of great advice. They were very surprised at what I was telling them about the situation (Audi included). Roger ends up coming by to look at the windshield. He sends me a text about 30 min before he wanted to show up. Not sure what he did but he was gone again in 15 min. Jeff then texts me about making an appointment to attempt recalibration on a Friday. I respond by saying my schedule is open. He doesn't reply for a day and then responds by saying he's changing the shop location. When I asked where I'm taking it, he did not reply for another day. Next day, which is Friday (the original day he said he would do the recalibration), he texts me saying we can do it on Monday and has changed the shop from Lynnwood to Everett. Now, I did some research. Many times these guys realize they don't have the proper equipment so they'll rent a bay at a different shop. I was done at this point. I stopped replying and called my credit card company and car insurance company. I got scheduled with the shop Audi recommended and my car was good as new. Roger was extremely unprofessional with the way this was handled. He wasn't honest about knowing how to work with these cars and other things as well. I would never trust these guys with another vehicle. What was supposed to be a one day job was turned into a two week headache. Side note: he told me he wouldn't offer a refund because the windshield was installed properly, but the new shop was shocked at the installation. It was totally botched, of course. His partner in crime somehow turned off features that technicians aren't even supposed to have access to. The car completely locked up all of these features as a way to protect the system I later learned. This was a lesson learned. There were a lot of positive reviews for his Wind-Tech Yelp page, but going to his actual business' page was a different story. It seems like Wind-Tech initially belonged to someone else but now it's Roger's as well. His other page is Windshields To Go. This isn't even something allowed by Yelp. TLDR: do not bring your newer car here if you care about your car's safety features. He'll also botch the installation with gaps in the windshield and an absurd amount of glue.
