My husband has been going to this office for about 20 years and when another friend of mine recommended Dr. Moran I decided I would call and see if they would take me on as a new patient. The office is located in Plantation. It's an older building, but there is plenty of free parking all around. When I arrived at the office, there was not much of a wait, and the receptionist was friendly. She gave me some forms to fill out , (not too lengthy,) and I was called to come back as soon as I had completed the forms & paid my copayment. I had a nurse take my vitals and ask a little bit about my medical history. (I wasn't sick ; it was just a routine checkup.). Dr.Moran came in after a short wait. He was thorough, and easy to talk to. I didn't feel like I was being rushed out at all; we were able to have a honest conversation about my health. Upon checkout I scheduled my next appointment, and again the staff was extremely pleasant & helpful. I think I have found a new primary care doctor!

Spending ample time with me at each appointment no matter how significant or insignificant it was. They are absolutely thorough, working to cover every base. Albeit I am not good at "following instructions" like going to see the referrals for preventative consultations. They do make sure they at least make the recommendations. I believe that as a Dr's Office the can be as involved or not involved as the patient wants them to be. Fortunately, my health is ok and it's my choice to have them be involved as needed. For others I know there is great follow up to appointments and for results. The staff is incredibly attentive also, in fact, I just called in to have my meds adjusted and refilled and was attended to immediately. This kind of practice is hard to find in the world of managed healthcare. I highly recommend them and would tell you to read the bad reviews, but don't pay too much attention to them as, I personally, never experienced that kind of treatment. 5 Stars to the Dr, his PA's and Staff!

He's listed as a provider under Ambetter so I chose this insurance company. I called today to make an appointment only to be told by an extremely rude member of his staff that they do not accept Ambetter... when I asked why he was listed as a provider, I was told that the corporate group accepts that insurance but he doesn't. I then asked how was I supposed to know that since he shows up as a provider her response was that "I should have called the office... I'll have ro find another dr.! I'm not going that easy...as a radio host it'll be the subject of my shows for the next MONTH! RUDE people have no place in customer service positions! I guess my loyalty to his practice means nothing therefore I'll have no problem trashing it on air! Shame on you Dr. Bates for allowing what you've built to tarnished by corporate mismanagement. I've checked with Ambetterb and they have you listed with a valid contract... in addition they have indicated that you have NOT submitted any paperwork to withdraw from their network... hence they will be filing a complaint against your practice which I will be posting on social network as soon as i get my hands on it. Your "first impression" team has failed miserably. I'm now committed to pay an insurance company for a year...that serves no purpose since I chose it so I could continue to have you as my primary care physician. Maybe... just maybe that woman that was so rude should pay more attention to having the correct information on the insurance site than being rude and callous to patients...! Judging from the other reviews this seems to be the new norm fure you'r office...! Again... shame on you!

Obviously, when people are calling a cardiologist's office they are probably nervous and overwhelmed. After taking my not even 30-year-old husband to the urgent care for heart palpitations this weekend we were told to get him in to see a cardiologist within one week. Our family doctor recommended Dr. Levy. Whoever picked up the phone was either having a bad day, or is in a competition for rude, condescending, and unprofessional receptionists. This woman was short and abrupt and when I explained that I had been told to get my husband in within the week, she laughed in the cattiest, rudest manner I have ever experienced in a professional setting and informed me that there are no appointments available for 1-2 months so "that's not happening." Any question I asked seemed to be the biggest imposition on her day and I was answered rudely EVERY. TIME. I was taken aback by her manner. I was finally told to get with my family doctor and "figure out what's going on, OKAY???" in such a nasty voice I thought I was watching a soap opera. I have absolutely no problem being told that a specialist is booked. I don't expect to be pampered like a princess, or have anyone bow down at my feet. However, I do expect to be treated with basic human decency and professional courtesy. I was so disgusted with the way I was treated that I can't ever imagine actually going to this office.
