This is for Service. We discovered an issue with our propane in rv over the weekend and decided to head to Las Vegas. We had heard good things about Van City so we arrived first thing on Monday AM when they opened. Despite not having an appointment, they wedged us in for a diagnosis. Some issues with plugged propane lines but the tenacious service crew persevered and got it figured out. We so appreciated the courteous and friendly service. And are back rolling. This is now our service dealer going forward. And we would purchase from them. read more

I initially provided a 5 star review but should have waited. Simple repairs like reattaching a pantry catch bracket didn't hold past a few days, they broke part of the edge cover on my awning and told me they cleaned out my A/C unit but when I turned it on, dirt and other particles came out of the vents. I returned to have the repairs done over and felt disrespected and belittled. I do NOT recommend this company. I do not consider them trustworthy nor competent. read more

Service manager George got me in right when I arrived to the dealership. I called him from the road and explained Equalizer leveler error I was having as levelers would not extend. He took it into the bay and had me on the road in 15 minutes. George was pleasant and detailed. This is the 4rd pop by at Van City Las Vegas and I have always been extremely satisfied. UPDATE 8/24/22 BEWARE.... THOR MOTOR COACH has been uncooperative to the point of failing to accommodate our disabilities per ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and ALL warranty repairs. Moreover, factory repair centers will NOT service factory warranty issues timely "due to not getting paid (by the manufacturer) and parts are unavailable or backlogged." This THOR 2022 Tiburon RV purchase has been a NIGHTMARE from the dealer Van City RV in Las Vegas to the manufacturer THOR and their contracted LIPPERT. These companies are run and managed by uncouth self-serving incompetents, who would rather torment and alienate the customer than professionally address the concerns and service the manufacturer defects. Customer service has sunk with the ship! California Lemon Law is an option ... but such a waste of time and money for a beautiful RV that's a dud! read more

Worst company I've ever worked with. They were your friends. They kept in contact until they had your deposit, and then nothing had questions couldn't get a hold of anyone. I called on a certain vehicle they switch vins on me vehicles I chose not to do business asked for my deposit back they took 10% and nowhere on the fucking contract. Did it say they could take 10%? I never signed anything. Total rip offs don't buy from them. Found the same rig 27k. In Texas. read more

We put down a deposit on an RV and later when we were still two years away from it coming in, we changed our minds. Based on the fact that wouldn't lock in a price. We decided to purchase a different unit without a fluctuating price. They would only return $9,000 or our $10,000 deposit. We are disheartened by this company. read more

Drove 8 hours to pick up used Galleria with 4500 miles on it. Entire headliner was de-laminated from roof. I bought it anyway, thinking it could be fixed. No way, major expense. Forget about any communication after the sale. Waited 6 months for a replacement awning. Van City has moved on to the next victim. read more

Worse experience ever. Very unprofessional and lazy dealership. They procrastinated in getting all the paperwork complete. It took us 3 trips from out of state to get the paperwork completed. Thousands of dollars spent on the trips with loss of wages. No assistance with the financing. Excuse after excuse was given. I literally had to do ALL the ground work with my bank to get the deal/loan started and completed. The general manager John Chelist, well he was very unprofessional, racist, and incentive individual. Ive never felt so judged and humiliated in my life! He literally made every excuse the book for us not to take the RV. At the end of the contract, documents were changed and he devalued our trade in by $15,000 LAST MINUTE!!! What kind of business is this!?!?!? He even told us he would cut a check out to us and overnight our banks check back to them. He did not want to negotiate anything and pretty much told us "if we dont like it we could leave." New RV Prism, 5 months old. Roof A/C broke down. Van City RV took a look and rendered a warranty repair. Order the A/C unit and within a week or two the unit came in and they replaced. Have to say a special recognition to Serena. She accommodated dates and time to bring my RV in had to cancel due to wife not feeling well and she immediately reschedule. The entire time she asked how my wife was doing. Even the day the came in for the A/C replacement she remembered and asked about my wife. Thank you Serena! I've got a 2017 Thor Vegas that was having some issues. I made an appointment and took it into Van City RV and was pleasantly surprised with the service provided. My RV had been sitting in the Mojave desert for 4 years and needed to be checked over thoroughly. They offer an Annual Service that addresses and checks all the main components. Mike, the service guy was able to fix the little issues that were going on and verify all the remaining systems were working properly. The charges were exactly what was quoted and they were finished in a day. I highly recommend Van City RV for your RV service needs. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Went in with my husband to do some negotiations on a new Chinook Dream RV. Salesperson was Noel. We sat down and offered a reasonable price as the trailer sold for $4,000 less in another nearby state. Knowing it's a sellers market right now, we went above our budget for the offer. When our (all cash) offer was turned down, I said to my husband, "Guess we're driving to TX to get it." Noel said, "Good luck getting it serviced" (rude!) Our reply, "What? Why not here?" Then he backstepped and said, "Oh yeah, guess you could." On the way out, we spoke to Ryan (owner) and reiterated our offer. He said he'd 'make a call' and see if it could get approved. Never heard from him again. The only reason I gave two stars is for Nancy- a straight shooter, no BS. So you can KEEP your trailer that's been sitting on the lot for a month (or more?). These dealers get these RVs at 30-50% off what they paid. Just plain greed. I went to Blue Dog RV, and now I have the trailer I really wanted :) read more

Made an appointment and took my rig in to have the water pump replaced in addition to 2 other minor maintenance items. Was quite pleased with how straight forward and quickly things were done by Ryan in the shop. He also kept me informed as to how things were progressing. I should also mention Mike who in a previous visit tried to get my old pump working even though I didn't have an appointment that day. First class attention! Pre delivery inspection was completely lacking - done by service team member not familiar with heater functioning. Turns out is was faulty and already on trip. After taking forever to get a return call from service to get an equalized leveling system installed on my RV. The price changed from $5100 to $7010 overnight. $3500 for the parts & $3510 for 18 hours labor. Van City RV in Montana does the same job in 12 hours. Equalizer installs the system in 4 hours. read more

Took my 2020 Sol Dawn "Mittsy" (My Traveling She Shed) to Van City Las Vegas for warranty repairs: replacement of the picture window rock guard which had shrunk to a point where there was no way I could get protection, shades that had snapped strings, a window gasket that had pulled away, license plate that had fallen off, tank sensors that were off, kitchen draw that had to be replaced. Techs were awesome and answered my endless questions regarding water heater and possible solar panels and battery upgrades. Would definitely recommend them if you are in the Las Vegas area and are having issues. Romeo is the service rep and Mike and Mike are the techs. read more

They didn't mind us poking around for a couple hours and even turned on the air conditioning units in the RV's so we wouldn't burn up. I was referred to Wagon Trail by Camper World. This company sells quality vehicles. I dropped in on Friday, unexpected. Noel spent over an hour explaining all the details of 4 different vehicles. He also gently swayed me as to why one motor home might be a better match for the type of traveling one does. No pressure, and what a great sales agent. It may have been the best service EVER and certainly with my RV. I had a cracked water pump and and spring maintenance. I learned more from Allen in the time he spent going over what he fixed than I did at the dealership or the service centers i have visited since. I purchased my Isata 2016 2 years and I finally have hot water! Yay!! Everyone there were friendly and the price was great. I am so happy I made an appointment and went there! Update: ok I'm upgrading my previous rating to a 4 star, although I'm still upset about being told to take my rv to the generator shop and wasting 3 weeks only to get it fixed in 1 hour at van city, it probably could have been fixed if I was told to bring it in when I called the first time. Anyways, today I took my rv in to van city, I went in with an open mind and it was actually a really great experience, Jennifer was pleasant and got me checked in, after a few minutes the technician came out and I explained the problem, he explained the process and possible problems that might be wrong and that he would update me in about 20 minutes, sure enough at 20 minutes he was back and although he did not have a positive answer to the problem he went over what was the next test to be done and he would update me again. 15 minutes later he was back and showed me that the generator was working fine after they replaced the regulator and was sure it was the problem. So the problem is no more and I am very happy with the work that van city has done, I do think though that they need to have someone answer the phone, diagnose problems over the phone and make appointments instead of leaving messages and waiting for a call back. read more

Doug and I are owners of a 2015 Mercedes 3500 Sprinter, Roadtreck CS Adventurous with an Etrek Option (solar, inverter & enough extra batteries to get you off the grid). Recently, we had run into a problem with the 7.5 cu. inch Norcold (AC/DC) fridge working sporadically on our trips. we have had several issues with our Leisure Travel Unity MB from day 1 and the service department doesn't care . Nina does not follow up or through with things . When we talked she told me John the manager would not help me and she was right. Our batteries went faulty and we wanted to use the warranty . Nina had no clue how to process it and said I quote "I will fight for you even if it's $20 bucks" well Nina , you would first need to open my email and finish filling out the form. second I'm not sure how you completed the forms since the batteries are with us but ok maybe you did the hour long battery test when we took it in and recorded all the info. Since we complained to John and all we got was "what do you want free batteries "? No John, we would like Nina to follow through with this in a timely manner . All we get is how hard it is for him and his staffing issues , trust me we know . We dealt with the last 3-4 service people you have and every experience had issues. Maybe pay your staff more so they're happy . I understand your heartache but what about ours and purchasing an 150k RV and to have nothing but problems from day 1 . And then having to deal with your frustrated and miserable Service department . We will never go back there . You made me feel like I was out for free batteries , no John I want customer service . There's so much more , how they don't protect your stuff when dismantling a buckled shower to the way you are treated . Not to mention the unfriendly service staff read more

I had an unfortunate experience last Saturday, 1/20/19. There is NOTHING on the website that suggests one should make an appointment to view RVs on Saturdays or that staff is limited. I drove 40 minutes one way to get there. I was able to view a single class B while I was there, because the new Pleasure Way Tofinos are not yet in stock. I did mention that I might take a couple of months to decide what to get, and I guess the salesman figured I wasn't worth his time. He said that Saturdays are a bad day to just show up unannounced and that had another appointment coming in. I asked if I could look around and he said no. So basically he blew me off and made me leave. What a waste of time. I actually wanted to view a couple of class C's and also the Luna teardrops while I was there. I am serious about wanting to trade in or sell my older class B within the next couple of months and upgrading... If I decide to give Van City another chance, which is unlikely,hell will freeze over before this particular "salesperson" gets a dime of commission from me.. read more

These guys were great. On a long road trip and had a problem with my new Truma water heater on my LTV. I called them in the morning from Joshua Tree and they were able to get help me that afternoon. I had a coach full of kids and dogs and did not want to unload. They diagnosed the problem in the 100 degree heat and fixed the issue in 15 mins! They replaced the panel and we were on our way. We purchased a 2018 PleasureWay Ascent (Mercedes Benz chassis) the first week in January with delivery in late Spring 2018 due to high demand at the Canadian factory.This fits our schedule fine. We were treated respectfully and our questions were answered directly. No sales pressure was exerted and the price discussions were quick and fair to both parties.The sales staff were professional and we appreciated that fact. The facility was very clean and demonstrated a pride of ownership. We toured the Service Center and found it well equipped to handle non-engine service issues. I started looking at the Leisure Travel Vans about a year ago. I came across Wagon Trail about 6-8 months ago by calling on their ad from an online rv site. John answered the phone despite the after hour call and took care to answer all questions. The focus was on what I wanted to do with the vehicle, not upselling or pushing any additional modifications. In fact, the opposite. There was zero sales pressure with an emphasis on establishing a long term relationship from sale of the right vehicle for our needs, delivery, training and service. Pricing was more than fair and direct. There were no add on charges or surprises. John worked with us on delivery to accommodate work schedules outside of their normal hours and even offered pick up from the airport or hotel. Dinner recmmendations were unique with terrific food and character. Ryan worked with us for almost four hours on what was his day off (a Saturday and his birthday) to thoroughly review all aspects of the vehicle. He took us over to a local RV park, checked us in (at their expense) and assisted in hooking up the vehicle. Delivery even included a start up kit and two attractive mugs. John was even available by phone the rest of the weekend to assist and answer questions. This was an entirely opposite experience than that of a dealer geographically much closer (La Mesa).
