The quality of the service and the food depends on the staff's perception of whether you are a local or a tourist. Even if you speak French, if the staff thinks you're tourists, you will get an indifferent service at best or just completely neglected, where as the servers were much more attentive to the locals at the table next to us. Also, most of our food came out dry and over cooked, and we had to track down our server to get some water. It's a shame that there's such discrimination in a city that depends highly on tourism industry. Especially with the summer Olympics coming up, it's concerning that the locals would have such low regards for the visitors to their city.

The food is good value, the best thing on the menu are the mussels that both taste excellent and are very reasonably priced. The beer menu is extensive and primarily consists of bottle beers. My only criticism of the bar is that the owners have squeezed a few too many tables in so space is very tight. All in all this is probably one of the best beer bars in Paris with the added benefit of a decent food menu which serves food late.
