You have to walk around people to get out when they have another door they could open to make it flow better. The employees were nice but all of them work on each order and one puts it all in the register before you order so it is very confusing, chaotic, and takes forever. The ice cream itself was not very good. The bourbon coffee ice cream was so overwhelmingly artificial I threw it away. The chocolate was edible but not great. They didn't have hot fudge available- the machine was completely empty which tells me they didn't just run out; they didn't bother filling it. The one thing that was good was the waffle cone . Sadly we will not return, except for maybe to buy a waffle cone. I hope they get it together so they can survive.

I passed by this establishment many times while traveling to and from Adelphia, and always kept it…read morein mind to visit there. Now, I got a chance to go there. Brand: 5/5 As a coffee-and-pastry cafe, the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe typically serves customers on Calgo Gardens along Adelphia road. It operates out of a 1989 Sunline Camper, relies on locally sourced ingredients, and was started by Nina O'Rourke, who graduated from culinary school. The dragon soaring in the logo manages to evoke a fantasy aesthetic, just like the camper itself. It definitely evokes the look of an inn from a fantasy world, with the wooden walls and door and a wreath at the door. I also noticed the establishment also sells shirts, which enhances the brand. Website: 4/5 While I will say that I know that the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe has a website, it only has a bare minimum appearance. It does open you up to a good first impression with an image of a coffee cup, and a slogan "Sip, Savor, and Soar!" While it does give me information about the menu items and a few images, it does rely on a simple theme without even a website icon. While I did try to give the website three out of five stars, I read the About Us page and immediately decided to bump up the score to four stars. Nina offers her reason behind the business with so much pathos encapsulated in so few words. As a English major, I will say that quality rather than quantity matters with words, and the website's words managed to have an compelling quality. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to wait long for my order to arrive. Ambiance: 5/5 Even during a dreary Saturday (especially so), the establishment manages to have an upbeat presence regardless of the weather. While I could find no seats to enjoy my order, I did not have to seek too far, since Calgo Gardens offers you a chance to wander around in your own tour. So, I admire the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe's choice in placement, which works for it. Pertaining to the menu items on the website and the chalk board, I will say that they reflect the brand. I did think that the Dragon Yolk Chocolate Chunk Cookies fit into the brand, which are chocolate chunk cookies made from an egg yolk rather than a whole egg. Food: 4/5 I ordered the hot, small latte with oat milk. It managed to have that right amount of heat that cooled off after a few minutes, though I did taste more milk than latte. The mood of enjoying the latte did not last me throughout the day. Nonetheless, I knew what to expect, which reflected the brand and website of the cafe. The wait time did match the ideal heat of the latte, and the service cared for the preparation with the cup and the handle. Service: 5/5 Nina treats everyone with a warm welcome. Based on my first impression of the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe, I will say that I had a pleasant experience. The website promises a place "where every coffee and baked good tells a story worth savoring." I can see how that would work for the menu items, but it especially reflects the brand and the ambiance. Cost: 5/5 Among the aspects of the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe, the brand has the strongest effect on potential customers, for its consistent appearance entices them with the cafe's unique identity. Considering the importance of the brand, I would recommend leaning more into the fantasy aesthetic, even go so far as to serve at Renfairs and fantasy conventions. Visiting 100 eateries has taught me that local eateries rely on a core consumer base (like workers on their break, or young families), and I hope that fantasy-lovers would suffice. However, I would also recommend that the "inventive pastries" the website talks about evolve with the brand beyond the Dragon Yolk Cookies. Not only would I return to try out more of the menu items, I might also want to buy a t-shirt as well. I will say that despite the underwhelming experience, I did think the latte was worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have hope that the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe continues to have relevance in Calgo Gardens and anywhere else it serves customers. Local eateries with a small, humble start always give me hope, especially if one aspect about it becomes worth looking into. I personally would consider the Caffeinated Dragon Cafe a second choice, or a first choice if a new menu item is announced. Recommend To...
