Refusal to honor battery warranty I brought my car in multiple times to have the battery tested, and each time I was told it was "good." Yet within less than three years, I needed jumpstarts more than once--clearly the battery wasn't fine. I even had the car checked by both a dealership and a private mechanic, and they all pointed to the battery. Before coming in, I called and spoke with the manager, but once I got there, they still refused to honor the warranty. Very disappointing--no accountability, no consistency. Unlike the other reviews, I had an excellent experience at this location. They were efficient, straightforward, and had me in and out. The manager Sashana was friendly and quick. I would definitely recommend the shop, and I will return. They are a little more expensive than the Walmart, but for me my sanity is worth the extra 15 bucks. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would! Initially my spouse took my vehicle for an oil change back in August and was threatened by a male worker, once my husband complained, he was BEGGED not to make a review/rating by SASHANA HARRIS "the manager," and was offered a FREE OIL CHANGE the next time he comes in. Today, my husband went back in requested Sashana, spoke with her about all sorts of things, and all of a sudden she switched and said can't honor what she promised. My husband explained that he does not mind paying but she shouldn't be offering things she can't honor, she called the cops and trespassed him all because he told her she shouldn't offer things she can't do. One guy did give a small discount (the guy who threatened my husband with his military background once before) BUT please DO NOT GO THERE! SASHANA also tried not to give him the corporate number to file a complaint. Thank goodness he found the receipt from August which included the phone number. They are argumentative, can't keep up with their half of the bargain, rude, lying people! BAD QUALITY, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, IDIOTS! read more

I came in and there no line. Once I was ready for my oil change they informed me that they had ran out of a filter they needed in order to do my oil change. They said they could run across the street to get the filter. "It'll take no more than 15mins, if you'd like to wait you're more than welcome" I decided to wait ended up waiting 25mins for them to get the filter from the store across the street. Than I was asked to get back in line where I again waited 20minutes. Once I was ready to pay they "were not able to give me any more than $10 off" which I already had a coupon for. I cannot believe that after 45mins of waiting they only gave me $10 off (keep in mind I had the coupon). The employees seem to be distracted, one of them was vaping with one of the customers. I have been here multiple times and this review is overdue. Staff are consistently friendly. Service is quick and efficient. Literally 15-20 minutes wait for your oil change. Staff communicates with you throughout the process while you wait in your car. If it gets too hot they have a small room with A/C. They have other services they provide (systems and fluids, efficiency, safety. There is a whole menu on their website. Wow I'm just looking at the yelp reviews and reading these Other experiences people have had are now making me extremely nervous. I went and had my oil change there yesterday for the first time. I drive a BMW X6 5.0 which has a twin turbo engine. The staff was very friendly and the manager I believe he was the manager was very professional and communicated well. The first thing I was told was they were out of my engine oil however they had another full synthetic oil that was meant for hot temperatures. I said well I have a turbo engine and I know it gets extremely hot so if this oil you're speaking about is still OK for my model car then OK that's fine I mean they do oil changes all day long So I'm going to assume they know what they're talking about. I was there a little bit longer than the car next to me the had which the manager advised me because they were having trouble getting the cap off of my car underneath. The previous person had put it on really tight. I heard them banging on it and a tool flying across the bay Which is fine because again my brother is a mechanic and I know some things you have to really get into to loosen up but it's not fine if they broke something in the process. During the time when they were checking my fluids one of the techs also asked the lead tech where my dipstick was, which he replied there is no dipstick. So I could tell one of the guys working on my car did not have experience with BMWs. After oil change Lead tech reset my gauges, checked lights etc.. and I was good to go. The issue started as soon as I got home (I live about 5 miles away) I noticed my fan coming on loudly after I turn my car off and making a clicking noise then making a shuffling noise so I got concerned and started to think my engine must be extremely hot or about to overheat because I've never heard it Make these sounds also when I turn the engine on and let it sit one minute it continues to make a shuffling sound it also sounded like water dripping on a burning stove. I took videos of it and called Valvoline back the person I spoke to said to bring the car back however, I hadn't realized it was 7:10pm and it was when the garage closes, so I called back spoke to corporate and advise them I had an issue & that I would bring the car back when they re-opened. I checked car today Saturday and there is oil leaking onto my garage floor. I have not driven my car all day since oil change yesterday because I'm nervous with the temperature light popping The fact that I have oil leaking on the garage floor and the engine running super hot within a minute is worrying me that someone did something wrong or broke something.. as I have read in someone else's post below, which would not be good! My brother is a mechanic and he's going to come over and look at it first before I bring it back. My son took his Honda Fit for an oil change and tire rotation to this location. In the process your technician broke off and stripped tow lug nuts on his car. The technician who did this put the tire back on anyway and let him drive off like this. He brought it back the next day only for your company to have to tow it to a full service garage. He then had to wait for over four hours for it to be fixed. What kind of reputable company does shoddy work like this and puts someone's life in danger like that! I contacted this company back and never got any of my money back someone by the name of anthony told me it sounded like i had some mechanic issues previously but they state they are not mechanics. I was suppose to speak back with chris who is the actual area manager at that location. I will never get my car serviced here again very unpleasant experience. They didnt even try to give me back 10 % of what i had to spend only offered a free oil change. Why would i go back there for them to do more damage. VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE .. If I had to share something positive, I would suggest you do a simple google search and GO TO Take 5 Oil Change 1950 Lee Rd OR Rapid Lube Express 6999 West Colonial. I went to Valvoline because it is very near to my house. I have a toddler and didn't want to have to get out and risk any exposure to COVID. I also had a $15 off coupon. The man "helping" me was extremely rude when I asked him to explain to me why my oil change was going to cost $111.00. He goes on to say that I need an air filter and added it on. I said I did not give him permission to do that and that I can only afford a simple oil change $42.99. He then says that he already started a synthetic oil change and I told him to stop because I cannot afford that. He said that he was only doing the same oil change I got the previous time I was there. THIS MAN IS A DAMN LIAR. I am a single mother. I cannot afford synthetic oil changes. In the in end he charged me $85.19. I am not working. I have a small child. Because of this man I have to go to a food back to put food on my table this week. I've been going to this location for a couple years now. But today when i went in for an oil change they told me they didn't have filter and couldn't go across the street for it like they usually have. So i went ahead and got and paid for it myself. When i came back they tried to sell me an even more expensive oil as well. I ended up paying full price for my oil change they refused to give me a discount for bringing my own PAID for filter. This place is a waste of time. I arrived at 6:48 to try to get a oil Change since they close at seven and gentlemen says the compressor is turned off and takes ten minutes to start up. Why don't you put the closed sign at 6:48 since you obviously can't complete any services. Stay away from this place the workers do not care and are unhelpful and rude. The three workers were standing around not doing anything productive and when I pulled up they looked annoyed. Bad service, no care attitude! Spend your money somewhere else.
