This place is CRAZY huge! If you're a thrifter, they have pretty much everything. Racks and racks and racks and clothing, purses, kids, toys, books on kitchen items, anything under the sun for thrift shop. I go here for children's clothes, although, I can't say that I've bought anything for myself. I love it because I always find Red Sox apparel and I've seen tons of other sports teams clothing items for pennies on the dollar. Get on their mailing list and you'll find they have half off days and all kindsof specials. I happen to be there on one of the days when they were holding a special and the parking lot was mobbed. I had to wait for a spot, and I finally got one! If you haven't been to a value Village, I say you just go look around. It's pretty fun and you never know what you are going to find. read more

Getting tired of the racism when shopping at these places. Why send customers coupons that you will not honor? I was sent a coupon via text because I'm in the savers club. The name was Value Village when I signed up...their name is Value World now but I never changed the name in my phone. So the cashier immediately pointed that out..that my phone said Value Village and not Value World..trying to say its two different places. Which its not...only a name change. I didn't argue...I left everything. Wasted an hour of my day trying to meet the criteria for this coupon and they didn't even honor it. I know the real reason why. read more

selection was ok but the prices are high and didn't see a single item with the sale of the day colored tag.

Yoooo! One of the best thrift shops in Houston. Their prices are all over the place but cheap nonetheless. The guy up front is cool as hell haha really patient guy.. doesn't say much but he's very patient. They always have random cool stuff. They have this card system where you soend $50 and the next time you go in, your whole transaction is 50% off read more

The manager of the Antoine location Ms Lilly was very unprofessional and extremely rude to customs the last 2 days I visited the store. Was rushing people out of the store before the store closed read more

Good variety of items. Really organized and easy to shop. Prices are good for a thrift store.

Adrian told me there was nothing he could do about a broken zipper-- I had to talk to the manager and have the item put in the back to be remarked and come looking for it another day. Super long line., and nowhere near my house. Didn't want to hold everyone up. Turns out- HE was the manager, just didn't want to help me or give me a discount. Apparently white people are assumed to not deserve a discount. Don't come here if you speak English -- you will be discriminated against. read more

I've been reading some of the reviews and -- yes, there's a smell, but go to Goodwill and it's the same lol. If you look closely and take your time here, you may score real VTG items. Prices are reasonable. I was able to find a Fostoria Renaissance Pattern crystal candle holder for less than $2. Other than that, I bought a pink light-wear jacket for $9. They even have a huge selection of VTG London Fog coats that range from $60-$90. Btw, I heard Wednesdays are the days to go, for anyone reading this. Good luck and happy thrifting! read more

I cannot say how over priced and what a shameful way they are selling to people who have little money and normally go to shop they are taken advantage of so badly. I spent two hours carefully reviewing cookware, dishes ,HomeGoods decor. Things that cost six dollars at IKEA they have on their shelf for six dollars. Items from other stores around town in Nice clean areas !often times as a matter fact most times priced within pennies of the original price, and these are used and dirty and chipped etc. items from the dollar store we're priced at dollars and $2.25 !! Most of the clothes look very ragged and dirty and they're priced about the same is it Marshall's and Discount stores, of course then sometimes they put them half price. Which is still nothing but dirty laundry! go a lot a lot of resell and value shopping as I do crafting and looking for unusual decor. And items to perhaps put in rent houses. One of the worst things to me is overcharging people who often times have to walk to shop and go where they get the best for their money. And they are being scammed into thinking they're getting a good deal and to top it off! These people have the audacity to have donation boxes outside their businesses so they're getting their merchandise basically for free! Someone would do an expose on this read more

Value World - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Houston, Texas

Best thrift store yet here in Houston. Cheap prices aka actual thrift store. Colors each day for specials.

I have been coming to this location for as long as I can remember and I've never had a problem with anyone that works there. All the employees are pretty chill, except this one time I was very annoyed by this one man but considering how I work at a thrift store too...I would be in a bad mood sometimes too lol. Anyways, I'm only giving it a 4/5 star rating because I wish they would have their stuff separated by size instead of me having to look through everything for my size, other than that I love this store. I've been able to find some cute vintage dresses for less than $5. Some of their clothing is a little outdated but it is a thrift store once again, not the Galleria. People who give it a bad rating are just picky I guess, which is completely okay... I guess but most people like this location so. read more

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? At first, I was dubious about the other reviewers' opinion but I still gave it a shot. I'm here to testify that 5 bucks can indeed get you some good swag here. Sure, some of the racks are a bit smelly, most of the patrons will never grace Vogue's cover page, and you're going to have to dig through the racks (give your butler the day off, will you?). But, I scored a "famous American designer" shirt within 5 minutes of looking around. I hung on to that sucker like I was clutching on to my Prada man-purse. * They have nearly anything you could possibly want from a garage sale: clothes, furniture, housewares, and shoes. I was eyeing some crystal tschotskes but left them for next time. Unless you're planning on being a thrift-store baller, bring cash since there is a $10 minimum on credit card transactions. But, limit the cards to Mastercard and Visa since they won't take your Amex or Carte Blanche. * An old flame of my friend, Miss Peaches, had a Vietnamese cleaning lady. One day, he found her rocking a Louis Vuitton purse and complimented her on her impeccable taste since he saw the interlocking "L" and "V" letters. The cleaning lady paused for a moment then informed him that this was her Vicky Lawrence (of "Mama's Family" fame) knockoff that she picked up on Harwin Drive. Ah, the joys of bootleg merchandise! read more

Value World - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Houston, Texas

Surprisingly, I've never set foot in a Value Village before despite my teenage-years penchant for thrift stores (and men's pants - ah ha, those were the days). Value Village is a serious thrift store, catering to people seeking a serious bargain. A little grimy, yes. No snottiness, no frills, no public restroom . . . and I am pretty sure, no fitting room - which is a major bummer! Then again, with the rock bottom prices, I'm sure you can afford a shirt or pants "not working out." Of course this place demands a lot of patience and time and a positive attitude. If you are committed, you will find interesting little trinkets, clothing items, books, and so forth. As with thrift stores of this nature, A LOT of really outdated, antiquated things - so if you're in need of such artifacts - hit up the good ole' VV! I was unsuccessful in procuring anything awesome during my one particularly trip because I was so very much freaking out about finding a restroom. My fault for being ill-prepared for some dingy thrifting, but I'm wiling to try Value Village again! read more

If you have time, this is probably a great place to find stuff. I found it to be unorganized and I really wasn't able to find anything at all. There is definitely quantity here, if not quality. read more

From all the thrift stores that I been to, I love coming to this one every time I come I always leave with something on hand their prices are amazing!! And the two young Guys who are in the cash register are so nice!!! I love shopping here! read more

Huge, well-organized, and kind of smelly. Fun place to go and thrift with friends! My favorite finds have been a blazer, a Tommy Hilfiger flannel shirt, and a grandpa sweater. All for $5 or under! Some of my friends have gotten nice jeans that they cut into shorts. Don't come on 1/2 price Wednesdays, the line is over an hour long! On other days it takes probably 5-10 minutes to check out. read more

I don't know what more you could want out of a thrift store. Well organized and plenty of space to navigate. I didn't think it smelled as bad as some I've been in. I spent about 4 hours in there! The only thing I wish they had more of was furniture even though there were still a couple pieces I wanted to refinish but will save that for when I get a bigger vehicle to haul it home in. I spent $80 and got: 3 jeans, 5 shirts, 2 sweaters, earrings, a necklace, rollerblades, dishes and glasses, ceramic napkin holders, a dip tray, a belt, a scarf, glass beverage dispenser, a couple t-shirts to repurpose, a tall decorative vase, and a bunch of other randomness I can't remember. My cart was FULL! I hate to knock off a whole star for the lack or fitting rooms as I can understand why they don't have them but it would be nice. Checkout was quick and they take credit! I will be back to use my 50% off coupon which you can now use Sun-tues. read more

Now this is a thrift store. Cheapy cheap, a little smelly, but lots of racks to dig through if you have the patience. A lot of clothes are arranged by size, which makes things easier. And they take credit/debit cards ($10 minimum), if you're like me and don't believe in carrying cash. Minus one star because to my knowledge they don't have any fitting rooms. read more

I've frequent quite a few thrift stores in Houston and this was one that I had on my weekly itinerary until recently... When I first came to the store, it had the general fair of used products and musty clothes with an attempt at organization. The house wares section is very large an unorganized with dust and grime collecting on most of the junk ware. Going farther into the house wares section, things become more chaotic and soon you start climbing over half hazardously placed merchandise just to get to another shelf. Along with the disorganization, this place seems to be perpetually packed with people looking to score a decent bargain. This is not necessarily a bad thing but when there is a line of 10 people with filled carts and only one person working the register, that is a problem. This place seems to be highly understaffed and I've left without buying something I intended on buying simply because the line was insanely long for a $4 purchase. Now aside from the disorganization and lack of sufficient staff, I still found myself coming back because of the sheer amount of products and the cheap prices; that all changed until recently. I have walked into many a thrift store and I'm aware that they don't all smell like sunshine and roses, but usually it's just a faint musk due to the used products being sold as well as the varied clientele. I recently went into this value village and promptly walked back out because the smell was unbearable. I don't know if I was just being sensitive or the people there were just accustomed to the smell of a hot landfill, but I could not subject myself to that kind of discomfort. Mostly likely I will not be returning do to this incident, but I really hope that they clean up their facility because it really is a decent place sans the horrendous smell. read more

This is the first place I stop when I need barware. I found great, albeit kitchsy, glasses here. Cactus martini glasses. Cowboy boot beer steins. For such great low prices! Seriously, all their drinkware rock. Here you do need to set aside time to dig through all the racks. The clothes are packed in there! This store has a very large selection for women and men (moreso women). Since this place doesn't have fitting rooms, be prepared to try on clothes in the aisle (not a bad idea to wear leggings and camisoles to do this, ladies). Be prepared to wait in line. I love the staff here; they're so friendly! read more

Store has that thrift store odor. Most clothing is out of date, donated for good reason, or wouldn't sell in a department store. Some articles are stained,or ripped. Way overpriced for a thrift store. I was out of cleaning and car wash rags and stopped to buy a few towels. They were $4 apiece. Went to Walmart where new towels were $3. Wont be back! read more

Not too bad! Easy to find and plenty of parking. Definitely a little musty and overwhelming but everything was mostly all organized. I was able to find a great blazer for around $5. You have to have the patience to really flip through all the clothes to find something good. A lot of clothes were a bit dated and not much selection for smaller sizes but definitely some good gems. I wouldn't look at the household items, most of them looked really old and dirty. read more

The new point system does not make sence you have to purchase 100 dollars to get 10 dollars off.. that does not make sense. if you have $5 and are in need of anything at all, I point you to value village. things we got here for 50 bucks-- 3 pairs of boots- 2 cowboy, 1 slouchy. 2 pairs of men's shoes- one marc jacobsey. 3 old school plaid shirts- 2 flannel. art supplies- 10 bed sheets, a broken toaster oven, a roll of lace. 1 european diet sprite gym bag 1 vintage grey backpack 1 nondescript tote 3 amazing purses- 1 with alligator skin and a chain handle. 1 bike helmet. im sure i forgot some of the random stuff that enticed us. the other locations have more furniture but no one really goes to this one so its never picked over. uh, how else could these gems still be on the shelves? only in houston. read more

If you want a real thrift shop experience, come here! This place is cheap, smelly, and located in a shady area. Perfect for savvy thrifters! You can walk away with several outfits and some home decor for less than $20. The checkout line is usually long though. read more

I absolutely love this store. Yes, it does have a musty smell, and it's in the hood, but I can spend a few hours combing through these racks and will surely find something fabulous for a few bucks. Oh yeah, there are no fitting rooms. Gals, I suggest wearing leggings and a tank to try things on over your clothes. Half off Wednesday is the 3rd Wednesday of the month. read more

I went here looking for some stuff for a halloween costume and came away with a Gap shirt, Calvin Klein skirt and an American Eagle sun-dress all for under $10! I think the items had been cleaned already but I stuck them in the washing machine anyway. Just remember it's a thrift store and don't expect anything fancy. Btw I didn't get my costume here although they did have a big selection. If you're feeling broke but want to cheer yourself up with some clothes head here. read more

I live in NH. My family and I Shop at Savers. Most are clean and organized. The clothes are sorted by size. Easy to shop at. They used to be affiliated. I'm not sure if they are anymore. I am a teacher and I found the book selection amazing and SO inexpensive! I have visited all of the Gulfton/Meyerland thrift stores for my 4th grade in-class library and this stores rocked it for me!! Plus all books were half price the day I visited. My only negative comments are that there are many, many books and not enough bookshelves. Children's books are mixed with adult books. So a bit messy and if I had more time, I would have searched more. It was a bit if a scavenger hunt. Also, I noticed an icky musty smell as I walked into the store. It made me feel like everything was a bit grungy because the smell doesn't go away. My nose never got used to the attic smell. read more

This is by far the BEST thrift store in Houston, clothing wise. I say this because I am slowly weening off my obsession of vintage clothing, circa 1970s and 1980s. If that's your passion, then this is your store. I have no clue how extensive or great their men's selection of clothing is, but for vintage-loving women, you won't be disappointed. You can easily find unique blazers and suit jackets and the best vintage dresses from cutesy chiffon or silk ones to amazing sequin dresses. From what I've seen, their prices are very cheap and you can walk out with a ton of merchandise. I haven't browsed their furniture or other housewares, so I can't offer any advise there. The store's pretty large in size and has mostly a large women's section. It's not that clean, though, compared to the Heights Value Village. read more

I'm somewhat new to the thrift scene; and after going to a couple stores and returning empty-handed or upset that their prices are a bit higher than expected; I decided to venture out into the abyss of Houston. I never drive outside of Stafford, but for Value Village? ANYTIME. Racks are organized, by color, shirt, pants, men, women, dresses: large, small, medium...it was heaven. Especially compared to the ones I've been to previously. I always return home with a great treasure, be it a dress or cute top. I found a pair of boots that were $35 originally, I had no idea. And added together with the other apparel I planned on purchasing, it totaled up to like $60. BUT: I shop there often, and I pulled out one of my punchhole coupons, and paid like $35 for everything. #Bestdayofmylife :D You'll love it! Come in with an open mind, thrift clothes (leggings or shorts, and a cami so you can try on clothes in-store. They don't have a dressing room.) and a little change...you'll find something. read more

I am a fan of thrift stores in general. In this store most items are pretty old, so you will find 80's and 90's fashions mixed in with the more recent. Some clothes were really showing their age, like a dress with holes in it. I also saw a purple and white track jacket from the 80s and a few 80s heels. Not a treasure trove but if you come here on a weekly basis you may find some vintage in okay condition. The place is pretty big and for the most part well organized. read more
