She is so helpful, the store is huge and she gives me directions of where to find items. She informs me if upcoming sales and sometimes, I am a little confused about the colors. Recently started going back to Texas Thrift after frequenting GoodWill mostly. Their prices on goods, books, furniture and toys are slightly cheaper than goodwill. Books 0.50 - $3. Toys can range $1-6. You do have to dig and look around though since it's a bit messier. I have not looked at clothes since they don't have dressing rooms. Their purse selection was massive and they seemed to restock a few times a week and switch out new donations. read more

Used to like Texas Thrift, now you cannot try on clothes or exchange them. How are you supposed to buy pants when you can't tell if they are going to fit or not? It's manageable for shirts if you are willing to put them on over your clothes in front of a mirror in the aisles, but not pants. This is ridiculous. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! My brother paid for his items yet the machine didn't print his receipt. We check his bank his statement and and the transaction was taken out of his account. We showed the lady his bank statement showed that it's pulled out of his account and she refused to give him items. She that he would to pay again and then dispute the other transaction. HUGE selection! it's super organized too, and they sort by size and gender, age, product, etc. shoes are in a section by themselves and also on top of the racks, so literally everywhere. texas thrift really does have a fantastic selection, and I got a few pieces that were really cute (including a clown hat that I purchased for 0.99!) fitting rooms are easily accessible, they're at the very side of the store and better quality than most fitting rooms. they also have discounts on select days, like seniors 55+ get 30% off on wednesday's etc. also, certain colored tags will be some percentage off on certain days. the saturday that I went, they had white tags 50% off and blue tags 30% off. too bad all my items were green :// TLDR - coming back for sure! cashiers are nice, selection is HUGE, and parking is plenty :) thanks texas thrift! 5/5 read more

I have been going here for years. Recently I moved away and it's my first time back in a couple months and I was pretty unhappy with the new changes. No clothing is under 7.99 with little exceptions and everything just seemed way overpriced. I saw a buttoned up shirt and had to take my hoodie and satchel off to try it on and looked at the mirror on the aisle. Didn't fit, took it off and hung it back up. Went back to my hoodie and satchel. Someone stole my hoodie! They left my satchel though. Anyways I immediately started looking around and asking employees, best they could tell me is their 'no tag no sale' policy and told me to just look in carts. I used to go to the place a lot and would find a few clothing items that were actually good.During the pandemic of Covid I see customers are not forced to wear a mask and the employees are CARELESS ABOUT IT .The employees see the people without masks and pretend they didn't see them.I asked the employees if they have hand sanitizer, and they said they don't anymore . Great thrift store. Found several gems like pink Dr. Marten's, couple pair of chucks, vintage type writer, a drafting set. I've scored several work shirts and even put together a Halloween costume. What's bad about it? Never fails, someone is going to ask you for money. The store manager is great though, if she catches someone panhandling, she'll call them right out!! read more

I wanted so badly to give this place a 5 star rating. I'm an avid thrifter and get so excited about finding places with great items and prices. This place was super organized, had a great selection and great prices. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a few stars because of my experience. I found an item that I absolutely loved and noticed there wasn't a price tag but I figured they could tell me up front like most thrift stores. As I'm checking out I let the girl upfront know there wasn't a price but whatever it was I would take it. She took the item from me and placed it under the counter and said sorry store policy won't allow me to sell items without prices. I then asked her if she could tell me how I could get a price because I'm not local and I don't want to leave the store without this great find. She said I would have to come back the next day after they've priced the item... RIDICULOUS! Would have taken less than 5 minutes to get a price. Super bummed because I loved this place and loved that item. I found lots of great stuff but probably won't return because of that experience. read more

This huge Texas-sized location pleases me very much so! Clothes, shoes, jewelry galore!! On this trip I snagged some great secondhand vintage children's picture books - just 33 cents a pop! Also found a great pair of bespoke knit pants for 6 month old - just $2! I'm planning on using them for a Mothers Day photo op! read more

Had a very nice experience thrifting here. Well-organized but still with that little edge of clutter and chaos that can lead to a great find. Some items are priced up a bit compared to Goodwill, for example, but it's worth it for the level of organization that saves time often spent just sorting through things. The ladies bathroom was in awful condition. Feces all over the seat of one toilet & a used sanitary pad floating in the other toilet. I reported this courteously to a clerk & she looked away from me & said nothing. (Did she speak English?) I suspect the clerks are responsible to clean the bathrooms & she was sick & tired of cleaning up nasty messes. I love to visiting thrift stores. This one was 40 minutes from my home so I've been putting it off. I finally went yesterday on my off day and figured out I've been missing out. First of all this place was so organized. Everything was in size order and clearly labeled. The prices were very reasonable, even for me (Let's just say I'm very frugal lol). I purchased 3 pair of work pants, 2 pair of jeans, and a really nice cardigan for less than $20. Will definitely be back soon. read more

I used to come here for some house decor and clothing, went yesterday and was shocked by prices!!! Glass jars of various shapes used to be under dollar, now $4.95! Saw a figurine of Santa, cloth made, about 20 ' tall, for $24.95... whaaat???! Laughable. Good luck running the store. For that price I could find something in Marshall's or tjm. This thrift store used to be my favorite until lately when they had a new manager. Prices went overboard. Looking at the price tags, you won't believe you are in a thrift store where most, if not all the merchandise are donations. You would think you are in a Galleria mall. According to their advertisement on their website, every Monday, a color tag is on sale for 99 cents while another is at 50% off. That is no longer the case as this current manager makes sure the racks are emptied and replaced with regular price items. I had an encounter one Monday, when after they thought they had done their job of removing everything that had the color of the day, I went in and luckily I found some pairs of shoes that had the color of the day. One of the workers walked past me, looking at my cart, saw those shoes and tried to take them. I was shocked and when I asked her why, she said "you were not supposed to get them. We were asked to remove everything". I said to her " sorry. That means you didn't do your job right but you can't have them". She said to me " okay then. Let's see if the cashier will check you out". Fortunately for them, the cashier checked me out without any issue. I used to spend at least $100 every Monday in this store alongside other customers but these days I take my patronage to FAMILY THRIFT. I don't know what this manager wants to achieve by her attitude but one thing I know is that she has lost so many of her customers. That place used to be very busy on Mondays but no more. I wish the owners of this store will see this review and realize how much harm this manager has done to their business. That is if she is not carrying out their instructions. read more

I've been watching "Thrifting" videos on you tube and thought I would give it a try. I was on my way to GOODWILL when I saw this store and decided to come back after my trip to Goodwill. Upon entry I was pleasantly surprised, the place was clean and orderly. The clothes were sorted by size, styles (shirt vs sweater), Long sleeve vs short sleeve, etc which made my shopping experience really easy. The prices were very reasonable, I found 2 items with the original store tags still on them. In comparison-for me- looking at the store and the PRICES - I had a better shopping experience at Texas Thrift. I do plan to go back. read more

As an avid thrifter, this is easily one of the worst thrift stores I've been to. I can usually find at least one or two items of some value or quality at most stores, however this store seems to be full of other thrift stores rejects, with items which are broken or incomplete. As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted and I was made aware that they had 50 percent off a blue tags (at the moment) and 30 percent off yellow (at the moment as well) the whole week.
