I had an awesome experience at this location and was able to find Hawthorne Village Disney Christmas decor. It was all in working condition and the prices were fair for a thrift shop. I was able to mention to the cashier I donated before coming in and was given a 20% off coupon which helped a ton. This location I went in looking for collectibles and found some really cool Pyrex I passed on because of the terribly inflated pricing. I think they forget there's lead in most of those items. So - be careful on hunting down those things. There's no public restrooms and some rowdy transients that hang off on the side that'll tell you all types of rude pieces of knowledge as you walk to your car. I Went in for clothes shopping. I went through the aisles and picked out clothes that I wanted. Then, I asked for the fitting room. They stated that they had no fitting room. I asked as to why they had no fitting room for trying on the clothes they sell. I do not know which clothes were going to fit or not. Not without trying them on beforehand. The Employee shrugged at me as if they didn't care. I followed up with the question of, " if I buy these and they don't fit because I could not try them on, I can return what I don't want tomorrow? And get my money back? The answer was yes. On the way out I asked for a restroom. I had spent a lot of time and money in this store. Least they can do is let me pee before I go. NOPE! No bathroom, figures. Next day I go back in, bring the clothes that I can not wear , I have my receipt, I see the same employee that I spoke with the previous day. The employee tells me that I can not get a refund on these clothes. I'm pissed. I overspent because I had to pay for all just to go home and try on. Bring them back in for my money back and told No. " nuh uh" . Employee says To go ahead and shop right then for exchange only. I say " nu uh " I said that I spoke with them yesterday about this exact matter. I needed my money back for my returns. I would not have bought anything from this store had I had known that I could not return items with tags and receipt , for cash back. I loudly stomped out saying that I'd give them 0 stars on Yelp. For lying. For selling clothes without fitting rooms and of course no bathroom. Stores rarely let you have normal body functions anymore. Also, No returns! As a frequent thrifter I've observed most thrift stores raise their prices and that's whatever, but I went today and I've never seen the prices so ridiculous. I don't know if the management changed or what happened but I remember when value village was about giving back to the community and helping people, but it seems now that they're more about profits instead of connecting people in need with resources. When you can't find a decent shirt for under $5 from a cheap company like gildan or Hanes that they likely got from a donation, I consider that greedy. Plus they've taken the ability to use their restroom away which isn't uncommon and paying employees minimum wage, they're just taking more than giving... not very non-profit in my opinion. read more

Donations help to keep this business running. There were 4 employees accepting donations. 1 employee (a female) was rude and curt. 2 of the other employees appeared complacent. The 4th one was the only one who was courteous. I would never donate my gently used items to this organization again. Who they hire represents them and sadly, they failed. read more

Not too bad for an Everett a thrift shop. I've always considered myself more of a GW girl, but since we moved into the neighborhood we have been stopping in every so often. They do a great job of putting more cashiers on when the line gets too long. Their shoes and clothes are always really organized and there is always someone available at the jewelry kiosk. I love me some thrifting and do it pretty often. We hit this place up pretty often. Last night was super annoying. We saw the sign on the door that they were closing early for their Christmas party. Not a big deal. We would be pretty quick anyways. What was annoying is that one of the gals told every single person who walked in the door this. There is a sign, most people can read. It got to the point where even one of the cashiers was like "I don't know why she keeps telling everyone that, no one cares why we are closing early." The store itself they keep pretty clean and I can find what I am looking for an stuff that I didn't even know I needed in my life. I love vintage stuff and Value Village fits the bill for it. Well, I'll have to admit... I haven't been to a thrift store in a very long time. Mainly because I have nightmares of the Value Village in Lynnwood that my mom forced me to go to with her. I would never get clothing from there. I remember the smell inside there used to make me ill. I hated thrift stores. Well, now that times are tough, I have decided to try a thrift store again... After my sister and I enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh rolls and Pho across the street at Janbo, we decided to stop in Value Village. My nephew had gotten a hold of some pastel crayons, and my sister had washed his clothes with the crayons in the pocket, totally ruining most of his clothes. We found some really affordable and clean looking items for Logan there. The store is very well organized, I was surprised. The toddler clothes vary in price from 1.99 to 4.99, very reasonable. I also found some super cute, barely used Vera Wang high heels, for very cheap! I was psyched, its hard to find high heels that fit properly. I will be giving thrift stores a look in the future for good deals on accessories and furniture! read more

The store is large, and the parking lot is big enough to find easy parking. The staff has a lot of folks that fit the super hipster description. They all seem fairly nice, though. The inventory seemed to have a lot of younger and hipper clothing, but the price definitely has a cool tax on it. I found a lot of the items were being sold at prices I would find in the cheaper new stores. This price inflation seems primarily to be on women's clothing and shoes. I found the men's clothes didn't have as high a price point. Housewares were much better than the clothing for price. Those departments seemed to have what you would expect a thrift store to be priced at. I got several commuter mugs, good ones, for a buck or so each. Baskets were fairly priced, too. In all, it's worth looking through, but be aware of the higher prices. If you want cheaper then either GoodWill, or St. Vincent's are better choices. read more

The prices here are outrageous. There was a time when I loved to shop at Value Village because I would be excited about getting a bargain, but no more. I don't understand their pricing system. I will see a sweater for about $12.99 and a t-shirt that's been laundered many times and is losing its color for $5-6. I can go to Ross and get something brand new for that amount. I was looking for a deal on an electric hand mixer, and the only one they had was old and priced at $6.99. I found a brand new one at KMart for $7 so that was no deal. The books used to be something like 50 cents for a paper back and $1 for a hard back but now they're $3. (If you want books, try Goodwill Outlet, it's 49 cents for any hardback and 29 cents for any paperback, and I see the same exact books at both places.) Twice I've had random people pull me aside and say, "Can you believe these prices?" It might be worth shopping for clothes here when they have the 50% off sales, but the rest of the time it's not. And the 50% off sales don't count on books, CDs, housewares... so you'll never get a good deal on those. I've given up on this place. I've noticed on their Facebook page people have been complaining about the prices for a long time, but they never comment back or do anything about it, so I don't expect it to change. read more

The customer service at this store is unspeakably bad. The salespeople and manager have consistently shown themselves to be rude and uncaring. I've had several less-than-savory experiences with the salespeople here, and I am normally very easy to please. The last straw was when I finally said something to the person in charge at the time (hope it was not the manager) and she proceeded to yell at me in front of the other customers and tell me something was "wrong" with me. I have been shopping at thrift stores for years. I buy most of my clothes and shoes at thrift stores and this location is way overpriced. I like their books though even then they are on the high side. So are used boots. $19.99 for USED boots. Really??? Customer service is excellent though and the bathroom is clean. This location is far larger than your average thrift store, so make sure to give yourself time to sort through the store to find the best. I've always been lucky coming here and usually can find what I'm looking for. My most recent score was a Ralph Lauren rain coat with wool liner for my husband. It was $7 after the special and looked brand new. The dry cleaning cost more than the coat did. I was hooked after finding my first score: a $400 cashmere sweater from one of my favorite boutique brands for around $15. I've picked up serving pieces in housewares and cookie cutters for holidays. Designer jeans and sweaters. We even bought some solid walnut dressers for a bedroom here that were not dated, well made, and looked new. I admit I can't stand shopping, and it takes longer than I'd like to sort through everything, but everyone is super helpful and if I'm saving $100 on even one pair of jeans it's worth my time to look. Dropping off donations to the side entrance is easy and fast too. Just pull up along the left side of the building (facing the front door) and someone will help you unload your car. Donating will also earn you a voucher for a discount on your trip inside. read more

Sweet success!!!! I've never really shopped at thrift stores before, but I've heard from a few people that you can sometimes get designer jeans for cheap if you take the time to really hunt through everything. It took probably two hours, but yesterday I ended up getting: -1 pair of women's Hudson jeans for $25 that were in perfect condition and looked like they'd never been worn with the really nice back flap pockets -1 pair of women's Citizen of Humanity jeans for $7 that were in perfect condition with the "h" on the back pockets -2 pairs of men's Diesel jeans, one for $10 that had a few stains, all of which came out in the wash with a little bit of Spray and Wash, and the other pair for $15 that were in perfect condition at the store -1 Lacoste polo, also in perfect condition, for $6. So I ended up getting 4 pairs of designer jeans and a designer polo and the total came to a little less than $70. Score! read more

Until they bought out Shop'N'Save, they had great deals all the time. Now, it is very common to find things priced at almost the same structure as if going to buy NEW at a retail store. Sometimes, it seems that the people pricing the items might be using some type of narcotics when hallucinating the extremely HIGH prices...at even more than what you can buy the items for NEW! One thing this place does get high-marks for is ACCEPTING DONATIONS. THEY HAVE A BELL-STRIP AT THE DRIVE-UP DONATION DROP. I generally don't like Value Villages, but this one is ok (although I did like the Shop'n'Save that used to be at this location more). Their clothes are still overpriced, but they have a decent selection of other items. I've found some nice tablecloths and other houseware items here. The parking lot is sometimes a bit chaotic with the espresso stand that is there, but you can usually find a spot right away. read more

They are easy to find, being right on Evergreen. There's a light right next to them, so it's easy to get in and out of their large parking lot. The selection seemed decent, with fresh stuff coming out all the time, but the pricing was too high for my tastes. I find I can go to TJ Maxx, Ross, or Marshalls, and get stuff cheaper than I can find at this Value Village. Most of the higher priced stuff is in the women's department. Unfortunately, I am female, and they don't sell men's skirts or capri pants, so I could not just jump over to the men's department to find cheaper deals. I got a very "cool" vibe from the staff, with lots of alternative young folks working there. The inventory was generally "cooler", but this is probably why the prices are higher, too. I like my thrift stores uncool, and cheap, personally. I still check them out, when I go out thrifting, but I tend to hit them last. I do find cool things there, but I don't like paying $15 for a pair of pants, etc. read more

I've allways been a huge fan of value village but this one ranks the lowest, they price out of season items just as high as in season items, like selling a swimsuit in winter for as much money as a winter coat is going for. Bitter sweet to SWEET SUCCESS.. I was already having a bad morning having to deal with a rude business owner at new & used Liquidators on Evergreen way in Everett...who will never get my business again. HOWEVER!!!! Value Village made my day I asked Randy if he had any soup pots and he said what they had was over this way. He took me to the section and there it was....A huge soup pot just waiting for some love to be cooked in it for my clients. I even found a few other treasures that followed me home. The cashier was very friendly also. I will be making this my go to place its a bit further away from my home but it is worth the trip through traffic. read more

They have some really nice clothes once you get looking through them, there is some really nice people that work there but some people are just plain out rude and don't know how to smile. There bathroom is nasty but some people do offer to clean it before you go in there. They should have it cleaned at least 4 times a day. This review I am about to write applies to all the Value Villages I frequent. From Marysville to Burien. Well back in the day you could buy a shirt from V.V. for about 2-3 bucks and get a whole huge bag of stuff for about 30-40 bucks. Well no more. When the economy went down the toilet in 2008, more and more people (including myself), started flocking to the thrift stores in search of better deals. So then what happens - V.V. decides to capitalize on it and now over prices all of their crap thinking that it is some discount designer clothes wherehouse or something. For example the other day when I was in there, I was looking at a pair of shoes that still had the original price sticker on them. The original price read $9.99. V.V. had the shoes priced at $14.99.. WTF??? You take in USED merchandise from people FOR FREE and now you think that you can jack up the prices and take advantage of everyone.. forget that!!! Another thing that made me mad was the other day when I was at the Marysville location, I had a cute pair of lace tights and because there was no price tag on it, the cashier would not sell me the item and told me I would have to wait until a "professional pricer" was available the following day. This place of great bargains has turned into a big joke! From now on I will only shop at V.V. on the HALF PRICE sale days! read more

As good as this place is, and as much new stock as they continually get it, they don't get a 5 star. Often the employees forget any kind of tag sale and have little idea of what kind of items are in the store if you are looking for something specific. The real downfall is the price. Items are way too high for used goods, and if the items don't sell, the clothing is eventually shipped out of the country and not given locally. their employee Derick is the exception, he is a gem. read more

I love this Value Village! I've been to different thrift stores and this one is my favorite. I go there about once a week or once every two weeks, and i always walk out with at least one or two items. Their pricing has gotten better, the shirts for women range between 1.99 and 6.99, though some fancier brands are 9.99. I've noticed that generally tanks are 2.99 and blouses are 6.99. I just bought a pair of really cute gray suede booties there yesterday and I love them, they were $20 but in perfect condition it was worth it! I always go there for all my clothing needs, pants are usually less than $10, which is way cheaper than buying them retail! Let's just say my entire closet is full of VV clothing and my wallet still has money left afterwards. The staff there is really young and always polite when it comes to walking past you in the isle ways. Their also pretty quick when it comes to checking out, if the line is long I suggest just looking at something else and coming back a couple minutes later and the line will be gone. There's almost always a dressing room or two open and you can always find a parking spot. They keep the store really put together and clean, clothes off the floor and the tops of racks, which is really nice compared to other places i've seen. read more

The customer service at this store is significantly less than other locations. I've had multiple miscommunications resulting in less than satisfying experiences. One time they said they would hold my items while I went home. I came back and everything had been put back. A quick stop to pay for my items turned into a lengthy trip while I attempted to find some of my items again. Not only did they raise their prices on everything to department store prices, they dont accept returns on merchandise. Good luck finding a decent t-shirt for less than 5.99 or jeand under 10 except on sale days and everything in the store has been worn past usability. Save time and frustration and shop at goodwill instead. This is rediculious, and I feel sorry for those who are struggling right now in Everett and need affordable cheap clothing because they won't find it here. I don't expect much quality from a second hand store, but it appeared to have decent maintenance. The issue here is all the shady bums and weirdos that circle the perimeters of this store. read more

This is my least favorite location. I can't always afford to pay full price so I tend to go to thrift shops for shoes, tops , baby clothes, and household items. I can't even afford a pair of pants or an outfit for my daughter. Shoes are almost always over $10 which I can go to Ross and get the same price. Pants are in upwards of $15 and the baby clothes- forget it. 50% off days are the only days worth going. Just a big let down. This stuff is USED and donated for FREE. Stop being greedy. read more
