The sheets were too small for the queen bed so they kept bunching up and removing itself exposing the mattress which was annoying to adjust. Not sure why Hilton doesn't have mattress cover protectors for sanitary reasons. Found hair and mysterious stains here and there so not much attention to detail on tidiness. Housekeeping came once during our 3 night stay.

Disliked -------- The room service menu only had sandwich items; nothing really substantial was offered. Or when we wrapped up and I'd had a very long day of interaction. The last thing I wanted was to be in a restaurant. It would be nice if they had plastic utensils near the microwave. I know this would be just a luxury, but I had to walk all the way to the main building to ask the actual restaurant for utensils because their room service said they didn't have any either. Spa prices were pretty high I'd requested the shuttle to my departing flight the night before, and although they'd confirmed, they did not "have room" for me on the van in the morning. This was very frustrating, and I was full of anxiety about it. While asking me to wait, no one acknowledged my concern, nor did they let me know what the plan was to correct it. So I got more and more nervous as time passed. The manager finally came to take me, but expressed confusion about why the driver didn't take the larger van, which would have fit me as the additional passenger.

I used the work room and the Wi-Fi worked pretty good with my government laptop. I would stay here again.

There's a Chick Fil A and a Target across the street too. We were happy about the 24 hr coffee and hot water which we needed for Theraflu and Emergen-C. Room was super clean. Had a mini fridge and microwave. We didn't make it to breakfast only because we were zonked from our red-eye flight and the sleep disrupting cough. All of the staff were incredibly courteous and professional. The Lyft ride, for a midsize vehicle to fit all of our luggage, to the port was $13. I would definitely recommend.

Stained rugs throughout, walls need painting, furniture needs to be replaced as they look as though they've been used for decades. I would call this hotel as having the "industrial worn" look. The included breakfast was good but meager. That said, I'm giving it an extra star since the room and bathroom seemed clean, even though there was a slightly stale odor. The air conditioning worked fine, thankfully. I guess you get what you pay for, as I looked at the other hotels in the area (after I stayed here) and found this Comfort Inn to be the least expensive.

When she came back around 8:15 PM, she was informed that there still wasn't a clean room available. To make matters worse, there was only one employee working, no housekeeping staff available, and no manager who could be reached. The only solution offered was for my sister to take clean sheets and towels and spend the night in a room that would be cleaned the following morning. When she saw the room, it was absolutely filthy and clearly had not been cleaned after the previous guest. I cannot understand how any hotel could believe it was acceptable to offer a room in that condition to a paying customer. At that point, we had no choice but to scramble to find another hotel late in the evening. Nearby hotels were sold out, and we ultimately had to book a much more expensive room elsewhere. I understand that hotels occasionally face staffing challenges, but there is no circumstance in which offering an obviously dirty, unprepared room should be considered an acceptable solution. The lack of housekeeping, the inability to reach a manager, and the handling of the situation made an already stressful evening much worse. I hope management takes this seriously and puts procedures in place to ensure no other guest has to experience what my sister did.

The night manager was a little disinterested in putting down her magazine to check us in, but otherwise the staff and accommodations were excellent. The room was spacious and had a little living area with a couch, coffee table, refrigerator, a coffee pot, and a nice TV. The bed was large and comfy and the room was clean and neat. In the morning, the continental breakfast was very nice and the staff there in particular (Diane at the time) was very sweet and helpful - she ran to get me a cup of hot water for my oatmeal while the large carafe was refilling. The hotel is also easy to get to and located near the airport (our destination). We were pleased! If I need another stay in Virginia Beach/Norfolk area, I will be back.
