The best value in town... true story! All we wanted was a room with a bathroom and air conditioning. For $50, we got it! The outside of this place is pretty run down and needs a lot of work. Inside the rooms, there is a small tv with cable and HBO, a mini-fridge, microwave (NO COFFEE MAKER...), and a window unit. The room was clean and everything worked. What more could you want. The place seems family-owned. When we left on Labor Day, the office was closed but the woman cleaning rooms told us to simply leave our keys in the room when we left. The ice 'machine' isn't so much a machine, but a cooler full of ice. Fine by us. If it bugs you, walk across the street to the gas station and by a bag. Awesome value. Clean an neat room, no strange smells or whatever. Stuff is old-ish (TV is CRT, AC is... well, old), but well-kept and functioning properly. Free, no-pass-required internet. Hot coffee and cookies for breakfast. Booklet with the list of attractions. Really, you can hardly go any better than that in its price category. Additional kudos to them goes for their nearly-perfect mobile reservation system, booked my room online directly from them in a heartbeat. read more

Reserved rooms at one price over the phone, and we arrive to be told it would be 15% higher. Negotiations broke down and we took our business elsewhere. Very disappointing. read more
