I emailed Van for an estimate on a huge job at my house. He was very responsive and showed up on time. I needed my entire yard done: cutting down bushes and trees, limbing trees, edging all sidewalks and walkways, debris cleanup, getting rid of the moss, shaping the bushes that were staying, pre-emergence and post-emergence spraying, defining flower beds, spreading 10 yards of bark, hauling away a huge pile of brush from a year ago, etc. It was a LOT of work. We walked the property and he listened to my ideas and offered suggestions that made sense. He got back to me with an estimate that I was really pleased with and worked within my schedule. A few days before everything was to be completed, Van came back and we walked the property again checking on the work already done and yet to be complete. He wanted to make sure I was pleased and happy with what his team had accomplished - and I was. Value Landscaping did three major projects for us over the past 4 months. We bought a house over the summer and the yard was in awful shape. Van was super helpful with getting a quote put together and offering suggestions. His team first did a major cleanup of overgrown ivy, weeds, and brush in our backyard. Then we brought them back to overhaul the front yard! In ground sprinkler system, new sod, fence/gate replacement, and reshaping the front garden. Value Landscape completely changed the look of my yard for the better. Because of the great job they did, I am spending time in the yard every day. They put up a new cedar fence on one side of my back yard and it gave me a new level of privacy that I have never had at this house. They also removed some plants and shrubs that were in the way for the new fence. They also weeded out the beds and added beauty bark. We made tentative plans for them to come back in a couple months to work on a pathway, add lattice to the top of the fence and install a cedar gate. Van is friendly and professional. We called Value Landscape to have our fence replaced due to storm damage. In regards to safety, this project needed to be finished quickly, within a week. The customer service we received was top notch, as the project was completed in within three days from the time we called. Van is friendly and knowledgeable of his trade. In addition, he has a lot patience as we explained what we needed accomplished and is flexible with scheduling. Within a prompt time frame, Van corresponded via text messages and phone calls as to the status of the project, this was most helpful. Our fence turned out beautiful! All old fence remains were taken away as well as vegetation trimmed back, above and beyond what we expected. We were pleased with the conclusion of our fence project that we trusted Value Landscape with another task, our overgrown sloped yard. This project did not need the strict timeline like the fence, but Van still able to fit us in without delay even in the high demand spring season. We had numerous expectations and questions to ask. Van was understanding and professional in his responses. We were given plenty of time to mull over our landscaping choices, Van even emailed us a proposal to use as a reference. Many of our plants were lifeless and needed to be manually dug out. There is much dedication in his crew to accomplish this task. We were amazed at how in-sync the team worked and the speed in which our weeds and overgrowth disappeared. Van and his crew accomplished everything we asked for, plus some additional maintenance. I contacted Van for an estimate on work I needed done at my house. He showed up on time and gave a very reasonable estimate. We needed a lot of work done in our front and back yard to make our house look clean for selling. He scheduled us in as soon as he could and did great work. He and his crew were on time and worked all day to get the landscaping looking perfect. We had a few broken sprinkler heads which he also replaced. We had Van and his crew for 3 FULL days at my parents home. I asked them to bring the home's large and complicated yard back to wonderful and THEY DID! I am so impressed by these guys! They cut hedges down to size, cleared behind the house, brought the ivy to bay...trimmed, chopped, manicured the hillsides and found long lost rockery. We were all absolutely wowed! We had such a great experience with Van and Value Landscaping. We contacted him when our yard had gotten to the "if I don't do something I'll scream" stage. He came out to give us an estimate within a day or two of first contacting him. Estimate was fair, so we asked him to do the work. I think he could sense my desperation (and my birthday was the following weekend) so he squeezed us in that same week, even though it meant they had to do it in two stages. I had the opportunity to utilize this company for lawn care services. When I initially reached out, I was skeptical as I had contacted several places in the Tacoma area (non which either replied or kept the agreed appointments). However, this was not the case with Value Landscape. They followed up within 24 hours of receiving my request and information online. I was provided with a general estimate and then we confirmed a time for a lawn care assessment. Van was professional as well as personable. Both my mother and I could tell he knew what he was talking about as he educated us on what the best options would be for our lawn. He also worked us into his schedule for Thursday or Friday. When Friday came and they could not make it out, it was communicated that they would definitely come on Saturday and they did. When we pulled up to our home, my mother was pleased.
