Brandi is seriously amazing I've never had anyone take such good care of my little poodle and make…read moreher look so cute

My husband and I recently got our Scottish Terrier, Bart, from the shelter about a month ago. we…read morebrought him in to get bathed, hair trimmed, nails clips, ears cleaned, and other services. I added the essentials package to make sure he was getting the proper grooming and cleaning that he needed. At the appointment, I told the lady that he is not aggressive at all, just very anxious so he might pee. I informed her that we have taken him to the vet twice now and the technicians were poking their fingers in his mouth and body and he was never aggressive. I also told her that I was pretty sure he has a double coat because he's fuzzy and white under his wired black hair, so I specially told her that I wanted him trimmed as short as they can go but please don't shave because I think he has the double coat. I wanted them to double check for me incase I was wrong, but NOT shave him. I also asked them to focus on cleaning up his butt area, because with long hair sometimes his poop gets tangled in it. When I picked him up, the lady told me that she was unable to trim his nails, because he kept "lightly nibbling my hand", and "looking at me". She also stated that she was unable to trim his face and tail because "he kept swinging his head away". She even stated that he was never aggressive throughout the appointment. She then told us that "he for sure has a double coat. I realized after I put the clippers to him. We recommend not shaving animals with double coats but I didn't realize till after. He is white underneath just a heads up." She brought out my dog and he was fully shaved down. I am very disappointed. I specifically stated that I was pretty sure that my dog had a double coat and I didn't want him shaved, I wanted his hair trimmed in a hair cut. It feels like she didn't listen to a single comment I gave and just started shaving my dog. Even if you pet into his hair, you can see the double coat. Also, I stated my dog is not aggressive just very timid and anxious, so for him not to get his face and nails trimmed because he simply looked at you, I think is ridiculous. My dog was not considered for his specific breed and I am not sure why shaving was done first without examining him, especially after I said no. I recommend going to a place where they will not be afraid to man-handled your dog a bit to get the care they need, and to take into consideration the comments you give them. $100 down the drain.
