And before even entering the room I was waiting in, I hear her tell a nurse if I knew I lost the baby. She said that in front of all the nurses and people waiting in the waiting area. That is how I found out I miscarried. She then proceeded to say I needed a D&C even though I wasn't far along. I paid so much money out of pocket for her to even do the damn procedure and not including what the hospital charged me. She didn't offer any support or guidance whatsoever when I became very depressed and wouldn't even sign a form from my job that was asking for two weeks off to cope with my heavy bleeding and depression. She absolutely destroyed the experience of doctor and patient relationship. She truly broke me with the experience. As a woman, mother and daughter I don't recommend this place.

She is flexible and able to pivot plans as needed. Even as a healthcare provider the fertility/egg freezing process can be confusing but Dr Chung was able to answer all my questions and gave me frequent updates on what she was seeing with my ultrasounds and results. I appreciate that she was very empathetic and approachable. I never sensed any judgment from her with my questions, situation, etc. Every sensitive exam was done with utmost respect. I felt very cared for and I highly recommend Dr Chung.

At my routine checkups, she would sometimes just touch my belly without even measuring or checking properly. When I asked questions, she would get irritated. Wait time can get pretty long depending on the day. For the positive, I would say that after meeting everyone, Dr. Lao was the best here. She was caring, empathic, and knowledgeable. She listened to every concern. She was also a great surgeon. My pregnancy and delivery experience were made better by her. Sarah who works the front desk was also very friendly and sweet. Now for the negative. I had an IUD placement at the office by Dr. Barr that ended up being a very traumatic experience. I received a diagnosis afterward that the IUD perforated through my uterus into another organ. I wish that the deployment was stopped if something didn't seem right. Some offices offer ultrasound-guided IUD insertion, so look into that instead. I felt like I went through hell and back the subsequent months after insertion. The office tried to fix it, but the experience just went downhill from there. I had multiple procedures, but it couldn't be removed. I requested CT/MRI scans, but didn't get them. The IUD location was discussed as possibly being in the stomach cavity, which it wasn't. Scheduling appts were also difficult. I ended up going to UCI and thankfully met an experienced Obgyn who found it through ultrasound, confirmed with MRI scans, and collaborated with another specialist to remove it for me. All in all, I would still recommend Dr. Lao for pregnancy and childbirth. However, I would be hesitant to recommend anything else here.

He seems to love what he does. I'm sad I'll have to find a new doctor when we move in a couple months. I highly recommend Dr. Mahller and his team. The entire staff at Orange County OBGYN is great. I also had the pleasure of seeing Tabitha Indries, NP, for a couple of my appointments during my most recent pregnancy, and she was kind, genuine, personable, and went out of her way to discuss and address all of my questions and concerns. Lastly, their patient portal is very convenient, and Dr. Mahller answers questions through the portal extremely quickly, which has been SO helpful and appreciated!

A lot of reviews for gynecological care tend to be from…read morefolks who are pregnant/are planning to be pregnant/delivered a baby, so I figured I'd throw my review in here since I do not intend to have children so my care experience is oriented around wellness visits / preventative care -- so if that's the boat you're in, read on! :) I know many forego gynecological care because it can feel invasive and nerve wracking. I certainly am someone who fits into that boat, as I have so much anxiety around doctors offices and anything medical. Also as a queer individual, there's an extra layer to reproductive care that (in my experience) is often overlooked. Dr. Ogez is so thoughtful, patient, and informative in her practice -- I've never felt safer during a wellness exam. Her bedside manner is exceptional; I felt heard in what I was saying during my visit, and also felt empowered about making choices about my body because Dr. Ogez took the time to really talk through things with me (and it is so clear that she stays very well informed on contemporary approaches to gynecological care that help empower patients.) That enough is worth 5 stars for me, but I should tack on that the office was so well organized that I think I was in the waiting room for about 3 minutes in totality? And then maybe waited alone in the exam room for about 2 minutes. The visit itself did not feel rushed at all, and yet I was stoked on how quickly I managed to get in and out of the office. However, this time i am so grateful for my insurance because I was able to choose whoever I wanted to go to within my network and I found her. There was no hesitation whatsoever. She is young, patient and wise when it comes to bedside manners and her making choices with you about what is best for you and your baby. The office staff is professional and friendly. The office itself is very clean. Whenever I got to my appointments the nurses were all so sweet. I never had to wait a long time at my appointments, except for one time when Dr. Ogez was not there and someone else had to see me so they had to read my chart to get familiar with my pregnancy status, which was understandable. I can't wait to share with you all my experience once I deliver. I will be back to update this review but for now, I'm blessed with Dr. Ogez as my OBGYN.

I was so glad she made it in time and we had a safe and healthy baby. She also delivered my other son and did a great job which is why I went to her for my recent pregnancy again as well. During one visit, the exam table was positioned in a way that made it extremely difficult for me to place my legs in the stirrups. I am shorter, and despite trying repeatedly, I physically could not position myself properly. Instead of helping adjust the table or offering an alternative, the doctor told me that she "couldn't check me for cancer" and said "oh well" because she couldn't get in position. That was upsetting and unprofessional. What concerned me even more was the condition of the exam room. There was visible blood on and under the exam table, including a pan underneath that appeared to contain old blood and blood-soaked cotton swabs. Some of it had leaked onto the floor. I had to call the nurse in, and she cleaned it while I was still in the room, instead of having me step out. This made me very uncomfortable, especially considering infection and sanitation concerns. The office itself is located in what appears to be an old house rather than a clinical medical setting, which added to my discomfort. It did not feel clean or professional. When I later called to follow up about my care, I was told that I "self-diagnose," which felt dismissive and inappropriate -- I was simply asking questions about my health. I have also received calls or messages about "missed appointments" or appointments I never scheduled or attended, which was confusing and concerning. Overall, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and unsafe. Between the lack of professionalism, sanitation issues, and poor communication, I would not recommend this office.
