We put a lock on the door. 2 weeks later, I find out that the unit has been broken into (per my tenant) and that the lock was gone entirely. The management company stated that since there is no evidence of a broken lock, they can't file an insurance claim and can't help. And refused to show camera footage. When trying to file a police report, the police required a statement from the management company, and they refused to do so. Now, I am reimbursing my tenant for part of his stolen property out of my pocket. Never again.

Rat Infestation, Health Violations & Suspicious Review Patterns…read more This facility is a health hazard. Upon accessing my storage unit, I discovered a severe rat infestation -- rat feces, rat urine, and dead rats blanketing the interior. The rodents had chewed through nearly every box I owned. This was not an isolated incident; the volume of damage makes clear this had been ongoing for an extended period. What is equally unacceptable is the facility's complete failure to notify tenants. Management was clearly aware of the problem -- other reviews confirm this -- yet made no attempt to contact affected customers, acknowledge the situation, or offer any path to resolution. That is not a lapse in communication. That is a deliberate choice. I have formally reported this facility to the County Department of Environmental Health and the City Licensing Department (DHS). Anyone with property stored here should consider doing the same. To anyone considering this facility: The negative reviews -- particularly those citing safety hazards and facility conditions -- are accurate. I can verify this firsthand. Store your belongings here at your own risk.

Cliff notes: John contacted us to help him do a job, flaked on the job, and screwed us out of…read more$103.25. I own a moving company in California, and John called us to unload a shipment for a customer of his in San Francisco. He found us on Hireahelper, a moving labor website. From the beginning, I was hesitant about working with John. Over the phone, John was condescending to the point of nearly being disrespectful. He requested that we provide an insurance certificate with the apartment complex listed as additional insured, which we did. He agreed he would reimburse us for the cost, $103.25. I sent him the certificate and the receipt. When we called to confirm on Friday, he said the move might not happen. The move was scheduled for the next day, Saturday. He said he would let us know by 10 am the next morning (two hours before the scheduled move time). Thanks for the notice?? I'm assuming if I hadn't called, our workers would have shown up to the job and he would have flaked. Needless to say, I wasn't happy. I told my workers to be on call. That morning, I called him over and over between 8 am and noon, the scheduled job time. Conveniently, he didn't answer, and completely fell through. No apologies, nothing. Today, I called his office to ask to be reimbursed for the insurance certificate. Interestingly, a guy who sounded just like him answered, but said that John was out of the office! He said to call in an hour. In an hour, he said wait ten minutes. I called ten minutes later and he still 'wasn't in'. I asked for John's cell and he put me on hold then hung up. Now he won't pick up. John, thats childish. Be a responsible business owner. I've tried to be polite. Don't hide your head in the sand. Pick up your phone. I know it was you talking. As a customer, this should give you several good reasons to avoid this mover like the plague. A) He could flake on you the day of the move, and leave you, without a truck, to move on your own. B) You know he doesn't treat his employees well. They will not be happy or motivated. C) He is unprofessional. When he breaks something, he probably won't reimburse you. If something goes 'missing' during the move, you'll end up talking to John's 'assistant' over the phone while he is indefinitely out of the office. D) There is no 'customer service department' or anyone to really go back to if anything goes wrong. You'll just end up posting an angry review like I'm doing. I hate doing this. If he had simply flaked, I would have just let this whole thing go. Screwing us out of $103.25 was a slap in the face though. Take responsibility for what you agreed to do! Don't screw yourself over. Get a real mover. By the way, if you don't believe me, check out our website. The name of our company is Students With Muscle.

I tried working with John on a personal level, texting, emails and phone but he refused to pay, stringing it out long enough to get passed the 45 day PayPal policy for chargeback... sure his response is always the same, "what would you do", "PayPal says I'm not responsible" or "my insurance said I don't have to pay". Someone's going to pay for my misappropriated camera. BEWARE IF YOU GO WITH THESE GUYS! They fooled me into using them...
