We are regular RV resort ppl, but we don't compare with our reviews. We found this place to be "in…read morethe works" of really trying to create a magical space and we felt that. $65 a night is incredibly reasonable here in So Cal. Not a lot of places we go to have that kind of security gate so that's a plus! We stayed in site 129. Cons: The spots are tight compared to other RV resorts and the pool and jacuzzi amenities are outside of the gated place for trailer sites so you do have to walk a short distance to access a different area. The goods, noting we stayed in winter and it was not fully occupied. This place was superbly clean and safe. The sites are very well landscaped for privacy and shade. The only cons (again) for us were the rocks, they're very thick and deep which makes it difficult for pulling in and out. I would not recommend this site for a larger rig. Ours was 23'. More goods: I absolutely loved how safe it was to walk our dog outside of the park area. The views are incredible. We found the people staying here very friendly. I heard only an occasional dog and nothing disturbing. The manager / owner Brian was kind and quick to answer the phone and was available for any questions. You can't beat the location or the price, we will most certainly be back! We haven't backed out of our site yet, so hoping it will be a smooth exit.

This rv park doesn't give refunds if you leave your stay early and that doesn't work for us being that we get relocated sporadically so we chose to pay week- week instead of a whole month at a time to ensure we didn't lose money . Mind you, we COMMUNICATED this to him at the very beginning of our stay because he tried to sell me a month and i said that doesn't work for our family unfortunately. After our first week at this park, checkout being at 11am, he called me right at 12 pm on the dot, and told me that someone had reserved our spot and we needed to relocate to a different spot in the park in order to accommodate them even though i planned on paying for another week, i just hadn't gotten the chance to yet because it was my sons nap time at that time. My husband was at work and i told him that i couldn't move the trailer without him. because of my husbands work schedule. being that we were unable to move the trailer for the other people coming in, Brian ended up ignoring the issue and not getting back to me on the matter. i had assumed he moved them to a different spot. A couple of weeks later, he did the exact same thing at the exact same time at 12pm on the dot, saying someone booked our spot AGAIN & we had to move & that it was our fault for paying week to week instead of a month, even though he knew our situation. He also claimed that the last people that reserved our spot had just happened to cancel instead of showing up... which doesn't make sense because he had AT LEAST 20 other available spots to put them in mind you!!! THE WHOLE PARK IS BASICALLY EMPTY, yet he wanted to make us, with a 7month old baby and a man who works 60 hour weeks, move to a different spot every week. when i asked how that is supposed to work for people who pay for a week at a time , he claimed that people don't "usually pay for weeks at a time , they just get months" . we have NEVER experienced a situation like this. SO WARNING, HE WILL RENT OUT YOUR SPOT TO OTHERS EVEN IF YOURE STILL PARKED THERE AND PLAN TO PAY FOR A LONGER STAY . (if they even are real resevervations, we never witnessed anyone actually showing up). He also had the nerve say that he had to accommodate the new renters so it was out of his control . Such a slap in the face to us being that we're also paying guests & are already in the spot. We ended up just leaving his rv park and going to a different one because that's just absolutely ridiculous. my mom used to work at an rv park, & she realized really quickly when i had told her the situation that he was just trying to make up these fake reservations to scare us and get us to pay for a month so that when we leave before the month is up, being likely as he knew my husbands job, he would make money off of us and plus the the money from the new renter. He's a phony, no one ever showed up to these so called reservations, the rv park is empty and has SO much availability, yet someone wanted our specific spot every time???? it's easy to fall for if you're not accustomed to rv park living but from experience, being that this is our life, we knew this was WAY out of the ordinary. No rv park has ever done this to us . you're not supposed to rent out someone else's spot until they leave. This rv park also sucks because there's no washer or dryer & the sewer hoses go uphill so we had to feed them by hand in order to make it to the other end. WE WOULD 100/100 recommend staying at coachella lakes rv resort!!! SO BEAUTIFUL, surrounded by lakes, 2 pools, SO ACCOMMODATING & they have laundry rooms a gym & more!! Mind you they also charge the same as he does.

During my stay, I felt less like a guest at a RV resort and more like a contestant on a twisted game show called "What Will Get Stolen Next?" My bathing suit disappeared while I stepped into the shower after using the hot tubs. The towel I had brought into the sauna? Snatched. At this point I started wondering if I should chain my flip-flops to the chairs. What really seals the deal is the reaction from staff: a perfect cocktail of indifference and shoulder shrugs. Concerns about theft are met with the enthusiasm of someone being told their parking meter expired. It's almost impressive how deeply they seem to not care. There is an element of theft at Caliente Springs from their own residents. The blond "I dream of Jeanie" looking resident thief stole an expensive item from the sauna uses the tubs every day. I was told by another resident woman she saw this Barbie doll take my towel. Reported the thieving person and nothing. The staff didn't care and completely enables this behavior of theft.

There are two pools at this site. We liked the one by the upper clubhouse - wide open with beautiful views of the mountains. The pool is warm and the hot tub is warmer. Both are spacious and clean. The bathrooms at both clubhouses are updated and clean as well. Considering it is peak season, we found the nightly rate of $60 to be extremely reasonable. Rates are lower for weekly stays. We also took advantage of their pickleball courts. They offered lessons on the first morning, and the instructors were absolutely fabulous - both patient and fun. We had a wonderful time.

I received a text giving instruction on what to expect if we were to arrive after hours. There was extra linings , 2 pillows , and one blanket. But I did bring extra blankets. There are family pools / jacuzzis , gym, common area with grills and fire pits, tennis court , and a basket ball court. I did appreciate that it was pet friendly and There was a dog park at the resort as well. So there was plenty do to there.

I had picked an RV site but it was scratched out and replaced with another site number. it was two sites away so I didn't mention it. My site was next to a permanent resident fifth wheel in horrible condition. Little did I know it was one of the better permanent RVs there. When you see all the "rules" for campers there you assume this is a nice place. I think they even wanted to know the year of our RV, like they have standards. HA! Went on a walk around and there were junky RVs everywhere that are old, broken RVs surrounded by hoards and hanging laundry (NOT allowed! LOL) Seeing all the permanent septic hoses on the ground and with the "p trap" dip showing they are open 24-7 was awful. Speaking of laundry, after a week in Mexico we had two loads to run. Our friends had one. Luckily there were three working - because only about 30% of the washing machines/dryers were actually functioning. They only had coin operated washers and no change machine. The pool area was older but clean and nice. The pool was cold! There is a separate, covered area with four hot pools of various temperatures. These were well used and I should point out there can be children present - just pointing this out as it can be less then relaxing to have a child playing with dolls in the spa with you. Unfortunately the sauna was not working when I was there. It had some very pretty grounds around the pool for games and barbecue. Nice pond with turtles, too. When we went to leave, we tried to hook up to empty the grey and black tanks. Our septic hook up was modified for a smaller hose size and there was no way for us to be able to use it. Very frustrating and we didn't want find an alternate there since it was quite early in the morning. The guy banging on metal and running equipment behind us hadn't even showed up to make noise yet that morning. After we left we reached out to the management via email and it has been over a week with NO response. We had asked for a partial refund due to the issues mentioned. With no reply, I feel compelled to warn others, since you will have no recourse once they get your money apparently. While we enjoyed the pool for a couple hours and felt like I was pretty safe there, the amenities and services were otherwise lacking and not worth, in my opinion, what we paid. It felt very, "bait and switch." The location was ok for decompressing from our Mexico trip, but next time we will go back the way we came (a hidden gem by Salton Sea)

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Every day we would see maintenance adding either fresh paint to railings or eaves or just keeping up with the landscaping. Security rolls around at night but there was no parties or loud music for them to monitor. Everyone was very chill, and it was like a ghost town in the middle of the day. I don't know if that is how it works all the time because there was a little booth at the entrance, but no one was there at the time. I don't know if they use that during the busy season. They have cabins, shaded structures, and RV spots available. Friends and I had trailers, tent and car camping. We had electric and water available at our sites. I expected to see more trees at the sites. They had trees, but it was more to divide the cabin section from the RV sites. It did provide shade but that was after noonish, and it got hot early in the morning. Thankfully we had our canopy. We also had heavy winds during different times of the day so keep that in mind and make sure your tents and canopy is secure. There are occasional squirrel's so secure your food if you are not going to be around. They have plenty of amenities. My friends used the pool and spa. Great to use when the evenings are warm and for star gazing! I was able to use the showers which were kept very clean (code is needed to enter restrooms and showers). They had a laundry room adjacent to the restrooms, they are coin operated. We did not take advantage of some of the activities that took place in the community room the two nights we were there. We actually stayed at the KOA because it wasn't too far from the venue we were going to see a musician. There is a pickleball court too which we could see from one of our sites. During our visit the park was not busy at all but it is off season. It was very quiet at the campground and it was very clean. Staff was seen often driving around. The convenience store have cute chachi's, but also carry necessities. That includes ice. I wouldn't mind reserving the same sites again. If I return I hope to use the other amenities that are available.
