I've established a relationship with Dr Stevie Reichmuth for both of my pugs she gives them the most undivided attention and sits on the ground and greets them and plays with them and truly pays attention to small details that other vets don't . I love her and her staff they treat my fur babies good here! I trust them.

I'd love to leave my Honest Review pertaining to this facility! Its a Cute Small Fast-Paced Office with a multi-trained staff that helps in every direction possible. Front End literally does it all from checking you in, to distributing your Fur-balls Meds! Vaccines are super simple and fast an get you out in a timely manner, Surgery was smooth an I was given through instructions to follow an was made aware about the IMPORTANCE of the CONE! I referred all my family an friends to come to this location because of the friendly staff and fast paced environment this team truly thrives on! Yes it can be hectic some days but that's what's expected in a WALK- IN CLINIC!! I absolutely love the teamwork here as well! Nice Job Ladies & Dr.Gill!

This is the growth exactly where the old one was coming back after the stitches were removed. :(

Sir, I appreciate you finally getting back. However, you have not received correct information from your staff. I did NOT come back months later. I came back to have stitches removed as instructed a few weeks after surgery. At that time I was told everything was fine and that she was having a reaction to the stitches and would go away! I noticed it was not going away but to the contrary getting bigger. I called immediately. They said to bring her back. I did not demand to have it removed, however, I did request that Dr. Wallace see her without charge to explain why it wasn't going away (as she performed surgery and that makes the most sense) and to explain why this growth she highly recommended be removed. She specifically said that in her years of experience they are "common" and continue to grow larger which could be uncomfortable for her. Which is why I chose not to have biopsied. Several rechecks? I had one "recheck" to remove the stitches. They refused to see her again without being paid FIRST. They said you get one free recheck period. Why are you saying several? Banging on the door? Sir, you have a glass door. why would you not respond to my e-Mail? Or my phone call? I even left a note on your car asking you to return my call. You certainly do not care. Perhaps you care now (over a month later) because this is a public forum and you want to make allegations about my behavior to make your business appear correct in not addressing my dogs health? You are interested in making money not relationships or the care of our beloved pets. (And I see why as you drive very expensive cars different days of week --made off of us pet owners hearts. :( I'm so very disappointed in your response. a quick check of her eye by dr. Wallace would have been the professional caring thing to do. Period. That sir, is all I wanted. and now, I would not let you perform anything on my pets. For required vaccines I will go to the Caldrons Pet Choice on Tully/Standiford (where Mr.T's donuts is) that offers shots each Saturday from 10am-11:30 from VIP PET CARE at a lower cost. I truly do not want this to happen to any other pet owner and the reason I left the review. It's a horrible helpless feeling that I paid good money for:(

Proof that I asked them to please keep me informed- I've never had a vet NOT tell me when shots are due.

Ask the Community - Valley Veterinary Hospital

How much is it to spay a 8 month old female kitten with shots?

I think it is around $80.

How much does cremation of a cat cost, & is there any documentation required? My husband told me he paid 10.00 & they wouldn't or didn't give him a receipt. I say he's lying he dumped my poor baby in the GARBAGE!!! :-(

He is probably lying. Even community cremation is more than $10. (We just had our kitty euth'd at Valley Vet last week :'( ). You have to sign a legal permission form and approve the costs. Then you receive a receipt. I'm so sorry for your loss…

The problem was the traveling vet would not be up in Sonora for several months and a very nice Receptionist recommended Oakdale Veterinary group stating that her friend works there and they do that surgery every single day. This was a 45 minute drive for us but didn't mind at all. I gave them a call. They were so so nice and immediately booked an appointment to examine my dog and it was determined by the vet that she did tear her ACL, surgery was scheduled and I just could not have been happier with the care that I received there. This was when they were in their old building and this was when Covid started so the the doctors and staff would come out to the parking lot and go over everything with you there. He was very, very nice understanding and professional. So my dogs first night in the hospital after surgery one of the vet techs took a picture of her and sent it to me. That was the first time I had ever had a Vet be so personalized with Mya. At her recheck I informed the Dr. that Mya was now limping on the other side leg. I learned that was a very common injury considering she leaned on the other side while her other leg was healing. I was so happy with the care they all gave Mya. Maybe 4-5 months later I saw my dog laying in the front yard early in the morning with foam coming out of her mouth and one front leg pointing up in the air. I immediately called my regular vet here in Sonora, and by this time the veterinary hospital had been sold to a Corporation. When I panic stricken told her I don't know what's happening to my dog and explained what I was witnessing and was afraid she was dying. The receptionist calmly said she had an opening on the following Tuesday. I was in shock and immediately called Oakdale vets since they had dealt with Mya twice before and I was told to immediately bring her right in. And that was the beginning of having the most excellent care for years to come. What was happening to Mya was she was having a seizure the first one she had ever had and I had no idea what was going on, but by the time we got to the vets, she was fine. She was treated with such excellent care for many years, dealing with epilepsy, her seizures her medication, and then Cushing's disease. They truly truly cared about my dog and by this time they were in their brand new facility, which was beautiful. Mya and I had made so many trips down to Oakdale vets the staff all new Mya and this past May when Mya's medicine could no longer help her I had to make the absolute worst decision ever and had to let her go. The front desk staff were so caring. The day I had to let her go the vet tech met us at the front door and took us back to one of the back rooms that had a little candle a box of Kleenex and a jar of Hershey's kisses and a blanket on the vet exam table. My son and I sat on each side next to Mya on the floor until the veterinarian came in and she was so calm and so peaceful and she absolutely gave us as much time as we needed to be with Mya. When she took her last breath. We kissed her and we were able to exit the building through a side door so we didn't have to go through the waiting room. Two days later the office called to tell me Mya's ashes were ready to be picked up. I asked them if it would be OK if I waited for a while, cause I was not able to go in there that soon and they were very very accommodating. My neighbor ended up going down and picking up Mya's remains. I have never in my life heard of all the wonderful things that Turlock family cremations did for my Mya. I'm not gonna say what it was, but if you have to go through that, I highly recommend it because what they sent me back were treasures that means so much. I still have two dogs and a cat so if I ever need of that again, they are my vet and will always be for as long as I live here. I highly highly recommend them. They have been a true blessing for me and my pup. Thank you guys, thank you.! This picture is of Mya's last ride in the jeep with the top down for her last visit to all of the staff of Oakdale Veterinary Clinic. I know she was happy and comfortable. And she will always be with me. Her final goodbye

We waited 2.5 hours before being even assessed. But other than that I was happy with the visit. I read all the reviews and was worried about the level of care due to what I was reading. My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

We took our cat here and did a bunch of tests and he was ok but had some sneezes. Took him in for a follow up bloodwork a few months later and his ALT liver enzyme was over 600. We saw doctor Pam who recommended shots and a CT scan as "top line treatment" because immediately they thought it was a congenial issue. Spent money on the Ct scan and it was negative but his liver enzymes were still going up. NOT ONCE did they start any treatment but they sure did run more tests. All negative and NOT ONCE did doctor Pam recommend any type of plan other than a $5000 invasive biopsy on our 1 year old cat. The enzymes went up over 1000 and I went online and found out info about steroids on my own since nothing was being done and asked Doctor Pam, who insisted we HAVE to do a biopsy and she had the nerve to say steroids might inflame his liver and it would be too much to give him steroids...but a full liver biopsy is fine? Ok. We got a second opinion and this new vet who actually cares about animals over money started him on an empirical treatment immediately and now his liver enzymes are back to normal a month and a half later...with a steroid called Prednisolone that bypasses the liver anyway. I feel so frustrated. For one, I'm mad she didn't even try to start him on anything, no treatment plan at all cuz they knew we loved this baby and would pay to help him. They messed with our vulnerability. For two, we paid a ton of money thinking we were trusting someone who actually cared, and for three and maybe the most aggravating and upsetting part, we put our little cat through so much and so many treatments because THIS VET told us it was needed it...and almost put him through a biopsy for no reason. Shame on you and the whole practice for valuing money over animals. Go to a vet who actually cares. Doctor Pam and this horrible place only care about your money and not your babies. Never again. The only thing they did do was help us with insurance because God knows they want their money. Unbelievable. Go to Village Oak or Waterford Vet or Animal Medical instead of this money hungry practice. We are lucky we actually still even have our little baby after this.
