The problem is there is a serious dust and mold problem at this establishment that should be addressed. Ceiling tiles falling down and water damage, along with a very terrible smell on the second floor. Each antique dealer has their own aesthetic, and it's typical for each one to specialize in certain items or periods of time, e.g., kitchenware or linens or the 1960s. Not every antique shop is obligated to appeal to men in order to be worthy of five stars, just like not every clothing brand needs to appeal to every gender or age group. This particular antique shop has teacups, postcards, jewelry, art, a small assortment of lamps and light fixtures, linens, knick-knacks, etc. I would say most items are from the mid-1900s or earlier. The owner sews felt Christmas ornaments and table runners by hand, and she also makes charming earrings from old necklace beads and, I think, chandelier crystals. Her shop is one of the tidiest in the area, and her prices are very fair. I enjoy going there to check out what's new.

During our trip, we made sure to allot time to visit as many antique stores/malls as we possibly could, and this was definitely one of my favorite antique malls. There is definitely something for everyone, and many of the vendors have themed booths. Parking is limited as the antique mall is located on a semi-busy avenue, but during our trip, we arrived later in the afternoon and had no issue snagging a spot. Photos truly do not do this place justice, and I did not want to flood my camera roll taking photos of everything that piqued my interest. My current interests include glass and porcelain insulators, Siberian Husky figurines/collectibles, and bird collectibles/plates. Prices on a whole are pretty reasonable, but this also depends on which booth or dealer you're purchasing from. It's always advisable to Google search antiques you find with market values and see whether or not you're willing to pay the price shown on the sticker. We ended up spending almost an hour looking at everything and I snagged a lovely porcelain insulator. There was a beautiful plate with a handsome Siberian that I cherished but didn't end up getting. Maybe some day I'll go back for it. I would love to revisit Pacific Antiques Mall the next time we're in Tacoma. What a treat!
