AZ Lawns did our neighbors lawn and it looked beautiful so we reached out to Nick of AZ Lawn for a quote and design. He provided everything we needed for our HOA approval. Our HOA did request a larger space around our tree and Nick drew up the revised illustration which got approved. The installation was well done, however, they did not install around our tree based on the "revised" illustration, they installed based on the first illustration. My husband did tell Nick that if the HOA says anything we will need him to reinstall the area around the tree. The REAL problem is with our irrigation cap offs. We have 2 out in front, which get capped because we no longer need the sprinkler system. (but can be uncapped if in the future you ever need your sprinkler system again). One is capped and no issue, the second is leaking. My husband called Nick about coming out to fix the problem, so Nick referred my husband to the owner of the company, When my husband spoke with the owner, he REFUSED to have anyone come out and fix it!! The job is not complete until all aspects are done correctly. I can live with the incorrect installation around the tree but I can't live with a leaky sprinkler cap and it is because of Nick's response to NOT fix it, I would NOT recommend him or Arizona Luxury Lawns.

After that I received a quote from all of them within 48 hours. The reason I decided to go with AZ Custom Landscapes was because I was very impressed with how Martin explained the project to me and he was the only one who mentioned a weed barrier for the areas where I wanted to add small rocks. It was easy to work with Kary during the entire project and her responses to my question were quick especially to my design changes. Also, their price fell somewhere in the middle of the 4 quotes I received and it came with a 2 year guarantee. When the project started, Martin walked me through what he and his team will be doing during the week. Once they got done, they cleaned everything nicely and walked me through to get my approval. I was very impressed with the work and really enjoyed working with Martin. I strongly recommend AZ Custom Landscapes to anyone looking to get great quality landscaping done for a reasonable price! They did all the site prep, installed all the tile pavers, a concrete slab for a hot tub and artificial turf. They also built a built-in BBQ for me and ran the natural gas to the BBQ.  Before I hired them, I bid the job out to three different companies.  AZ Custom Landscapes was the most professional throughout that process, and the only company that gave me a detailed bid in only a couple of days (the others took much longer!) and the only that could do it all themselves. Martín and the rest of the workers were professional, respectful and hardworking.  They showed up when they were scheduled to, worked long days and always cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. They worked with me on fine-tuning some of the details of the job, and helped me with a few extras that weren't on the list! It was obvious that Martín really cares about the quality of his work, which is rare these days. Professional, fair and top quality work.  I highly recommend AZ Custom Landscapes!!

This was a full start-to-finish project done from a plain builder home rock backyard, and they handled everything seamlessly: plant installation, beautiful travertine, high quality turf, a custom pergola with electrical, and a customer built-in BBQ area with outlets thoughtfully placed exactly where we'd actually use them. Every detail felt intentional and well planned. Communication was top tier the entire time. We were consistently updated, questions were answered quickly, and the project stayed on schedule. The quality of work is outstanding, and the crew kept the space impressively clean throughout the process. What really stood out was the collaboration. I had a few creative add-ons mid-project (because of course I did!), and they executed them without hesitation or disruption. Their design guidance was incredibly valuable when making decisions, and working with the Mario was such a pleasure - professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure we loved the final result.
