I read previous reviews and I was skeptical to go but went because my primary doctor referred me. My massage therapist, Gloria, is very knowledgeable, was really efficient with my allotted time and addressed my injury issues... The clinic is inviting and clean; front desk staff is welcoming; I was on a heated massage table with an adjustable head rest (needed for my neck issues). I'm going back in two weeks!!! So worth it. I do not recommend this clinic at all. They ask for payment (and tip) upon booking, which I should have known would speak to the quality. They were talking shit about clients behind the desk when I got there and basically ignored me while I waited past my appointment time. The room itself was very bright, cold, and uninviting. I could get past all of that if the massage was actually good, but it was the worst of my life. They hit bone and nerves, like they hadn't been trained at all and just went for it. I had to ask several times for them to stop digging in to random areas because it hurt so badly. They would not stop talking the whole time and I couldn't wait for it to be over. If I could go back, I would have just left. I found Spokane Valley through a good review and I'm writing this because I don't want this to happen to anyone else. read more

I absolutely love Valley Massage Clinic. Carrie is a miracle worker. I have chronic pain and my muscles are often in knots. Carrie is able to provide me with relief and immediately improve my range of motion. It's also worth mentioning that the front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful. First off, I would like to say that Rick (Richard) gives an amazing massage, and this review is nothing against him, personally. That being said, this clinic is only in it for the money. My daughter was in a car accident after we had been going here for months, using our private health insurance. When they found out that she had been in the accident, even though she wasn't injured, they told her that in order to receive any further massages, she HAD to sign a paper (without my knowledge of the situation and her signing the paper) with all of the details regarding the accident. Not only did she not get a massage, but they also actually called all of the insurances and tried to get them to approve massages through them so they could receive more money! How utterly greedy can a business be? They had no right to do this, and no right to coerce my daughter into signing a paper that she thought she needed to sign to be able to receive a massage that day. They are unbelievably sleezy and money hungry. They also lied and said that my daughter's claims were being "flagged" and not paid due to the accident. Every claim was paid by our private health insurance up to that point. The lying they will do is just pathetic. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

This was all around the best experience! I'm new to the massage therapy world and didn't know what kind of therapy to book or if they took my insurance. They figured all that out for me. I had a ton of neck pain and Melissa got me in the same day and was AMAZING! I felt so comfortable with her right when I met her, she really listened to me, gave advice and let me just relax through the massage. She was really personable. Her room was clean and smelt good. Can't wait to go back. My body feels so much better. I seriously can't believe the bad reviews, people will find anything to complain about! (To the bad review saying you had a different therapist cause they canceled on you.. I'd much rather they fill me in with someone else than come get me sick. I've been going here for years and I love this place! Any of their masseuses are great! The rooms are always very clean and kept at the right temperature. I really wish I had the time and babysitter to go every week or even every other week. They also have a referral program unless it has changed. My husband and I had two good massages here. I found my Groupon massage worth the money--it was relaxing and tension releasing. Our therapist had a bit of a one-note style and didn't seem too responsive in terms of reading our bodies. More like a heavy rubdown. I don't mind deep work, and the therapist used hot stones well as part of it. He got far too rough with S., who was tensing up from the deep neck work and asked the therapist to soften up, which he did but only briefly. Overall, S. found it relaxing, but he is now very sore and uncomfortable (taking a bath to help after drinking tons of the requisite water), and that's not ideal. read more

I went here even though a friend gave it a tepid review - they take my insurance & I couldn't get appointment with my regular person elsewhere so I tried this. Felt it was not very professional. Everyone working seemed young & I experienced & like they were only half present ... there was a sign asking to wear a mask but I only saw one lil bottle of hand sanitizer on front counter. No other attempt to even spread like they were disinfecting. It is December & cold, no heated massage table pad. Massage was so odd. I honestly wondered if she was even licensed or had received a massage herself. I was stuck in hallway while trying to check out & she just left me there barely looking at me. When I first walked in I was totally ignored and after 10 minutes was told the sign in. I sat there for an extra 20 minutes past my scheduled time before anybody even acknowledge me to find out what I was there for. This is definitely the dirtiest massage place I had ever been to. The attached picture is from the waiting room. I don't think anybody has dusted in there in over a year. There is a small table in the massage room that was even dirty. The place is filthy, as another reviewer said. I read reviews before going and just dismissed it as them being very particular. But they were right. The carpet in the entrance way looked as though they hadn't vacuumed for a week. There is a shelf located in the corner that is COMPLETELY covered in dust. Like, they have never dusted the shelf. I went along with my massage by Paul anyways, because I had high hopes for a relaxing massage that would help my neck and back problems. Paul's massage style is very jerky movements, like someone else mentioned "a hard rubdown". Nothing relaxing about it.. to me at least. Multiple times I had to ask him to do the massage slower and let off a little. Even then, he wouldn't. At the very end of the massage , he was adding virtually no pressure. This place is absolutely amazing! I am 36 weeks pregnant and have went to a spa for previous massages, but always left wanting a little more. Jerome, who gave the massage, actually looked at the paperwork I filled out asked if I wanted a whole body or did I want him to concentrate on the areas I pointed out. I told him just the points that hurt. He did just that and it was great. The best part, my feet weren't nearly as swollen today!! My husband also had a massage. He normally tells me that the massage was good. The only time he changes the word is if it wasn't very good. So when he told me his was great, I knew we had found our new massage clinic!! Called prior to making an appt and was told they were in network with my insurance. Showed up 10 min early and it was 30 min past my appt time before starting, then ended only 5 min late. Specially complained about my back and we 'ran out of time' before even starting on my back! They insisted I pay full price and not my copay and would 'credit the difference' once they contacted insurance. Received a phone call the next business day to say they are out of network and I owe the full amount. Frustrated with the inconsistency and the poor office management. Paying full price for a 25 min massage is insane especially when told it'd be covered by insurance. read more

I went into Valley Massage because I had a terrible issue with my upper back and shoulders. Paul was my masseuse. We talked about my needs and Paul was very attentive and seemed friendly. He left the room and I prepared for my massage. What I guess I neglected to tell him during my massage was that I DO NOT want to chit chat. Paul was friendly and chit chatted through the entire massage. This was may have been my mistake since I didn't tell him I wanted a quite relaxing massage. The real problem was one of the topics Paul decided to talk about. He asked me if I had a husband. He proceeded to tell me about his vasectomy and how they check for "swimmers" after a vasectomy. He may have meant nothing by this, but it way HIGHLY inappropriate. Being a woman and naked on a table with a man massaging me talking about something so personal and private made me beyond uncomfortable! I never had a problem with male masseuse, but since that experience I will never ever have a male masseuse for a massage. I do not ever want to put myself in a position to feel so uncomfortable again in my life. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Valley Massage to any woman. I even sent Valley Massage an email with this same information and they never responded to me. Even though I got Groupon for the massage, I would have liked my money back. read more

Loved the staff there. They were so kind and courteous. I told them my insurance did not cover the visit but the lady at the front desk still insisted on taking the time to double check to see if she could get it covered. She was so amazing and helpful, and so friendly and upbeat! The massage therapist was great and had a pretty good understanding of the rare medical condition I suffer from. Sounded like she actually did some homework before my visit! Yeah for her! The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Even had a cold bottle of water waiting for me at the end! Such amazing service. Worst customer service. I was called because I was on the cancellation list for a sooner appointment which I took. Then called on the day of my appointment as I was about to head out for It, that my appointment wasn't available anymore and that they thought they would have enough therapists but don't. And my original appointment for the following week wasn't available anymore, so left without an appointment. Wasn't offered anything or a sincere apology and wasn't about to reschedule and wait another week or longer with my back pain. Super unacceptable and doesn't sound like the staff communicates with each other. read more

Called earlier this week to schedule a therapeutic massage since this clinic is listed as a preferred provider under my insurance. The answering service rep could not confirm this or even the clinic hours; absolutely no help. Booked with one of the massage therapists for Saturday. Finally received a return call stating they do take my insurance, but the individual I scheduled with was not certified so would not be covered. Since the clinic web site included NO information about their staff, I googled the other person available, confirmed he is an LMT, and rescheduled to him for Sunday. I did this on Friday so I could for sure get a massage this weekend because my back has been extremely painful. Three hours before the appointment and I receive a robo email stating the therapist has been changed to the uncredentialed person. Seriously? When my note clearly stated on the appointment request that I was going to use Premera and requested confirmation prior to the appointment? I will never go to this clinic again because of their poor customer service, and bait and switch business practices. I am also going to contact my insurance company to inform them of this situation. Had I been given sufficient notice, I could have used any of the other preferred providers. Not cool or professional in any sense of the word. read more

This is the only place I will go for a massage. Its a calming atmosphere, they are caring and will send you with stretches or exercises and research for your problem areas. When you are all done they have a water waiting for you. I am very picky...I spent 6 years searching for the the health care professionals I have now, and valley massage clinic is in that group. Most insurance is not accepted for massages for some odd reason, but they will check on it for you just in case. I have had trouble getting in with my preferred specialist before, and they have switched my person on me without any notice so I find its best to call in...if you do this it is more effective than using the online appointment service. The front desk has been the only hassel I have ever had, and that was minimal and they got it worked out. read more
