We recently purchased a new washer and our water lines needed to be replaced. I couldn't do the work myself because I don't have the proper tools and everything was rusted over. I called Brandon of Pro Island Drain Cleaning and services by referral from John of Good Guy Plumbing that I got from Next Door. Brandon wasn't able to come out day of being that it was about 6pm but he did tell me to call first thing in the morning so they could get us in on the schedule. I called the next morning and he told me to send him the address and he'll have someone to come by. He had someone come by around noon to see what needed to be done and he left to pick up the other parts needed. Our plumber, Kai was so easy to work with especially since we previously bought some of the other needed parts to begin with the day before. It was less than an hour of work that would have taken me much longer on my own. The price was much more fair than calling one of those bigger plumber companies that charge $100 to cut a pipe. I get that companies need to also pay for their equipment on top of their employees, but $100 a cut? Ouch. Call Brandon of Pro Island Drain Cleaning and Services for all your plumbing needs. I cannot stop raving and recommending your company, employees and work. Thank you! We will be giving him a call next time something arises.

They were trying to add so much more work than necessary to fix just one leak. Asked a retired general contractor friend for a second opinion and he bursted out into laughter calling this highway robbery. He came over with his tools, cut open the cement just where the leak was and clamped it shut with a pipe tool. Saved me $27,000 of unnecessary work. Shady shady shady! I was gonna let it go but the fact that they keep spamming my email with an invoice estimate after I've told them I fixed it already motivated me to write this review. Thanks for reminding me lol.

Called and was told it would be about a week before they could even come out to diagnose the problem. I called another company who diagnosed the problem the next day. I told Certified Air the issue and it would be 30 days before one of the coils would arrive and 2-3 months to build the other coil. I talked with the warranty manager who sent me the warranty registration info and told me any licensed HVAC company can do warranty repair on our unit. I talked with Marco (service manager) and inquired if we could get the manufacturer to cover the indoor head units replaced instead of waiting for the coils, Marco said that was doubtful but would confirm the timing of everything and get back to me later in the day. It was two days later before I heard from Marco telling me the living room coil was a week out and they had the bedroom coil in stock. They told me they could come out to confirm the leak and schedule the coil install maybe next week. However they had the coil that was 2-3 months out in stock in their warehouse. During this time the other company called and said the coil with the bigger leak had arrived after 3 days and they were on their way to install it. After hanging up with the other company, I tried non-stop to call Certified Air to tell them the info and NOBODY answered the phone. The Certified Air tech arrived and had a conversation with the other company who just arrived as well in the parking lot and the tech left without contacting me "not knowing what to do" per service manager Marco. After finally talking to Marco, he advised they would not assist me any further since I'm using the other company. I told Marco the other company was only replacing the one coil and I wanted them to replace the coil they had in stock. HE REFUSED! He did tell me the other option would be to have the other company replace the indoor head unit, which was in stock on the island, but would not be covered under warranty if I wanted to go that route. He said it would have to be cleared with the owner of Certified Air to even be allowed to service the system they installed since I had another company do the repairs (under warranty) that they could not get to for weeks. To be clear, we tried in February of this year to try and get Certified Air to even come out to service and clean THEIR install but was told they could not get to us for weeks out due to manpower shortages. I was told from several other companies that Certified Air had laid off many employees which is due to their delayed schedule!

Based on the information I provided, he was able to give me a quote before anyone even came out, which I really appreciated. As promised, Jonathan arrived right on time. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He located the leak surprisingly quickly, and I was shocked at how deep the pipe was buried. At one point, Jonathan was upside down in the hole working to access it! Throughout the process, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He let me know he was going to the store to get a part and would be right back--and he was. He returned quickly and got right back to work. Once the repair was completed, he showed me the damaged section of pipe and explained the fix before covering everything back up. I was especially impressed with the care he took when refilling the hole. He carefully put the soil back in place, and by the end of the job, he was covered from head to toe in mud. It was obvious he worked incredibly hard to get the repair done right. It's been a few days since the repair, and so far everything is working perfectly. The owner of this company is responsive, kind, and most importantly, honest. I highly recommend Good Guys Plumbing for any plumbing needs. I cannot say enough good things about Miles and the experience we had with Sturdevant Air…read moreConditioning. We had an unexpected AC unit failure at our vacation rental just two days before our next guests were arriving. My husband was out of town, so I was in a bit of a bind trying to get everything taken care of quickly. I know that Sturdevant primarily handles commercial work and larger HVAC projects, so the fact that they took the time to find us a replacement unit and make sure we were taken care of meant so much. But what really stood out to me was Miles. Miles came out with Justin on a Thursday evening, and these two had the entire replacement installed and working in about an hour. Watching Miles work was honestly impressive. He had an incredible amount of energy, worked nonstop, and clearly takes tremendous pride in what he does. His work ethic was exceptional, and his attitude was just as impressive as his technical ability. He was friendly, professional, incredibly efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about getting the job done right. Miles is the epitome of a hard worker. He is exactly the kind of employee any company would be proud to have representing them. Sturdevant should feel incredibly fortunate to have someone like him on their team, because his attitude, and willingness to help speak volumes about the kind of person he is and the kind of company he represents. And while this review is really about Miles, I would be remiss if I didn't also recognize Sturdevant for going out of their way to help us when they really didn't have to. It is genuinely refreshing to experience that level of kindness and willingness to help these days. It feels like that kind of personal service and simply doing the right thing has become harder and harder to find. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into an experience that reminded me that there are still good people and good companies out there who are willing to step up and help when someone is in a bind. Thank you, Miles, for your hard work, your incredible energy, and for taking such pride in what you do. You are truly an asset to Sturdevant, and I hope you know how much your effort was appreciated. If every company had employees with your work ethic and attitude, we'd all be better for it.
