A friend of mine recommended Auto Solutions a couple of months ago when I needed to get my 2007…read moreMazda 3 hatchback a tune-up. I love my car so much, and if I can get a few more years our of it, I'd be happy. She said they're great, reasonably priced, and do not try to swindle their customers with unnecessary repairs. So I decided to check them out. Upon entering, I was greeted by the nicest receptionist I may have ever met. She had a great smile, was friendly, and was professional but still laid back. I explained what I needed, which included looking at why my engine light was on, check my shocks (because my car made very loud noises with every little bump in the road), and anything else they could find. Then I wanted an estimate and we'd discuss next steps. Made an appointment for the upcoming Thursday, left my car overnight, keys in the Dropbox, and they'd look at it in the morning. Got the estimate a few days later than anticipated, because the mechanic is always SUPER busy, then scheduled a pickup. Turned out that I needed new tires (which was not a surprise), my shocks were dead (hence the loud banging whenever I drove over a little bump), and my heater was on the fritz (the engine light). Spoke to the mechanic, and he said he could have my car ready by the following evening. So I said let's do all work as a holiday treat to myself. Picked up my car after work the following day, met up with the mechanic, and he went over everything with me. To my surprise, and due to an error, they even did a little extra work and didn't charge me for it! When I drove my car home, it felt like it was brand new, and if it wasn't for my "dog blankets" protecting my car seats, I would think that I just drove it off the sales lot. Overall, Auto Solutions is a place I will continue to go back to. The professionalism mixed with a laid-back personal approach, really made me feel at ease. Not charging me for some extra work that was done was a very nice holiday gift from them, and I am very grateful. Be fair warned, if you are a type A personality, and need everything quickly laid out in front of you, in a very specific time frame, they may not be your first choice. But if you have a little time on your hands, I will always highly recommend them.

I had my brakes done here. They were able to see me at the first time that worked for me. Nick called me within a short period of time to let me know the diagnosis and cost. The work was done quickly. The cost was fair. From the perspective of efficiency and finances, this is a great shop. However, the shop has something more than the pure business side. As noted in many of the reviews I read before I tried this shop, there is a true human element at work here. I felt that Nick was genuine and thoughtful. He was also very considerate. He had someone pull my car out for me when I went to pick it up as it was parked in a tight spot, saving me from performing a dozen small maneuvers to get it out, haha. I would bring my car there again in a heartbeat.

I called Jay early Monday am explaining to him what was the issue with my sons car. Not only was his car broken down, it wasn't running and we would need it towed. Jay quoted me a price that seemed very reasonable. One stop shop. Jay told me he probably couldn't get to the car til tomorrow. I said that was fine. I had called other repair shops in the area and not only did they not have the ability to tow they couldn't get to the car for a few days. Also other shops that I called were quite a bit higher for the repair and not even adding the tow. I was pleasantly surprised when Jay called me the same afternoon saying my sons car was fixed!!!!! I thanked him for the timely fashion getting the car towed and fixed. I definitely recommend Jay's Auto Repair he was cordial and understanding to our situation.

In addition to some of the specifics mentioned in my previous review (see below), there have been several instances where Ankers could have just recommended the more expensive route to fix something, but chose to allow us to make an informed decision by trying alternatives or doing things incrementally so that it could be determined if a smaller fix would suffice.
