The installation hit a couple unforeseeable snags so the project was 3 days, but they made sure that we had heat. I also was able to meet several of their staff and was very impressed by their work ethic, knowledge and kindness. I had to call this week about a rattle I had never heard before. Kyle was here the NEXT morning. He spent several hours under my house and inside. He didn't "see" anything but removed and retightened possible causes. We waited for 2 cycles of the unit and we believe the rattle is gone. If not Kyle assured me that it would be fixed if it reappeared. I am very thankful to Excel Heating and Cooling for excellent service staff and product. PS they also sent me the most delicious airpacked sleeve of fresh cookies in a tote, that was a huge hit at Thanksgiving week in WNY, as a thank you.

Original complaint: My AC would not turn off / running constantly…read more Diagnosis: Bryan w/Excel Heating & Air stated my ac's coil was leaking & currently blowing "poisonous" R22 refrigerant into house. He stuck an instrument inside unit in garage and it began beeping nonstop, which he said indicated the coil leaking. He also stated the motor needed to be replaced even tho it was running non stop. He stated my AC was not worth fixing and needed to be replaced at an approx. cost of $7000. He advised me he put some coolant in ac even tho it was leaking to make me "comfortable overnight" but it would eventually leak out; and said no charge for the added coolant. Lastly, he adjusted the thermometer settings on the wall before leaving & the ac was still running when he left. We agreed I would call him w/a decision the following a.m. He asked me to call him on his cell number listed on business card. Instead, he called me the following a.m. at 10:30 to see if I'd made a decision. That same morning, a 2nd opinion from a different heating & air company first looked at thermostat & stated the ac was turned to off position. He later verified my ac is working fine, but the motor itself was stuck in the "on" position and was why it was running continually and needed to be replaced @ $815. He assured me there is NO LEAK in the coil. They put the same instrument in garage unit (as Bryan had used the previous day) & there was no beeping to indicate a leak. I was dumbfounded. He concluded my entire ac did NOT need to be replaced, only the motor. I called Excel Heating & Air back to report these findings, talked to DAVID. I did not mention Bryan had stated he added coolant until David asked if I would pay for coolant added. I verified Bryan said no charge for the added coolant and did not charge me anything before leaving. (Why did Bryan shut the ac off on thermostat before leaving the previous day if he added coolant?). Moral to story: ALWAYS GET 2ND OPINION. I originally called Excel because of their 100% rave, positive reviews. However I am aware there are companies businesses can hire to input positive reviews online for a fee.

He promptly called back, took my information, and scheduled a time convenient to me. He came out today and performed the work. He was spot on with his estimate, cleaned up after he finished, and checked the circuit to conclude his work. I received a text at 1 PM saying Reuben was on his way. Fifteen minutes later he showed up. He was respectful and very knowledgeable about heat pumps. Within 15 minutes he had found the problem and replaced the capaciter. He explained to me in detail how the heat pump works. The invoice was reasonable and our house returned to its cool self. I highly recommend Morris Heating & Cooling.

The previous owners of the home did a major remodel and apparently didn't use the correct adapter to raise the height for new flooring. It works great now. Second, they fixed the master bath commode plus they also installed a 36-inch vanity to replace a pedestal sink. Both of these look wonderful and work well. Mrs. Burgess is always very professional and pleasant on the phone. The repair people​ were prompt, knowledgeable, and cleaned up so you wouldn't know they'd been there. The prices were fair and they sent the bills in the mail, which was convenient for me. I had trouble believing the experience Lynn M. reports and wonder if that person has some other issue. I checked Lynn M.'s list of reports and notice another very negative report to a well and pump business just 3 months earlier. I did reach out to Yelp, but they replied that they reviewed the review before and decided to let it stand. All I can tell you is that my two experiences with Burgess Plumbing were great and I have dealt with other plumbers in past years in various cities. I have a few other plumbing wish list items to do in the future and I am happy I found Burgess Plumbing to help me with those too.

We asked for service on a tankless water heating system and replacing a pipe under a bathroom sink…read more The first task was slightly different because the previous owner had set up an excellent but unique system in the house. Some of the pipes had build up from hard water. However, all the repair needed was replacing a part in the tankless system that caused the leaking. The build up was cleaned and looked like it had resolved after we had upgraded our water softener solution. While the individuals who came were kind, the first one took 3 hours and then had to call in a supervisor for the tankless system and piping. It was wasting my time working part-time from home while caring for a newborn full-time. Then, I asked multiple times for an estimate and they skirted around the question. When they looked at the sink pipe, they just put plumber's tape around it. The job wasn't finished when they sent an overpriced invoice. They said it was an error. We asked twice for an itemized invoice which they never sent. Also, we told them not to come back to finish the job if they would charge more. They promised not to charge more, came, and then charged more. Now, the water system is connected to a heated floor system installed by the previous owner of the house. Multiple professionals commented on how well the previous owner installed the system - including Blauch Brothers. Since they touched the system, it does not work. When asked if they could fix it for free since they likely did something, they evaded the question with "we can help you by looking at it" but not saying clearly whether they could do it free or not. It is understandable if they couldn't do it for free, but the lack of clarity was disappointing. We will likely pursue the previous plumbing company as they were dependable, efficient, and reasonably priced. They were just not available at this time, so that is why we tried Blauch Brothers. The biggest advantage this company has is that the people were polite and you could get an appointment quickly.

I called Blauch Brothers on a Saturday morning and they were able to arrange for a plumber to come. Josh was so amazing! He switched things around so that he could come right away since we hadn't been able to flush the toilets since the previous night. He cleared up the backup quickly and was very friendly and professional!
