called this office today due to the fact I need a new set of dentures. I have put it on the back burner bc of CPTSD @ severe anxiety disorder. LITERALLY, From the moment this Guy (The Dentist himself ) answered the phone his tone was off. I don't know if he was covering for his secretary's lunch but Immediately after I conveyed to him the numerous blisters I have in my mouth, constant pain every day or the weight I've lost due to inability to eat anything I expected the tone to soften. It did not.
I was so taken aback, that I asked if I had accidentally called the wrong number or if I was mistaken, & this is not a normal service For his office (dentures) - the negative tone was confusing For me. What he said next not only blew my
Mind but says everything about the time we are all living through. He quoted me the price (which was in line with my expectations) but then "You will be
Required to pay 100% in full at time of service & any payment from the insurance will be refunded to you at that time." My silence must have spoken for me but the next statement sealed the deal. " I have been Practicing for 32 years Insurance is iffy, why should I be the one holding the bag".
I graciously said thank you and ended the call bc that is not the way it has EVER worked. What makes him think I trust him to refund me anything or be honest about it ?? I know what my insurance will pay for and it was fully prepared to Put at least half down And absolutely had the ability to put the whole thing down in cash, but the way I was treated???, the tone I was spoken to in???
The absolute disregard on whether or not I was a patient at all?? There's no way I would ever let this man touch me or my mouth. Or my children or my families Be careful The "bottom line" is When you read those five stars reviews That speak of this office as one of the most caring Or that patients matter more than anything else? just remember this one read more
