After having my mouth deadened, I was waiting for the operation to begin. No one was in the room with me. I felt a rubbing along my left side while I was laying fully reclined in the chair. There was a large dog next to me. Not mine. He licked the left side of my face. I spoke up and asked that the dog be removed. There may have been cursing. Mine. The dog was removed. The procedure then was completed. At the end of the process, I mentioned to Dr. Bayat that a dog should not have been in the room. He said it was okay with OSHA rules and called me an "angry old man." I'd never consented to a dog being in the room. He also said if I had not been scheduled at the clinic, I would not have gotten an appointment anywhere for three to four months. Upon leaving the clinic, I asked the bill be sent to me as I wanted time to contact OSHA, the Oregon Dental Association, and my Medicare Advantage insurance company. Most people are unaware of EOB(explanation of benefits) and never compare what they should've paid (per insurance contracts) and what they did pay. On January 19th, my bridge broke in the front tooth. I immediately tried to make a dental…read moreappointment and Salem Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. They were not able to see me until January 29th leaving with a hole in my front tooth. They then changed the appointment to February 2nd. I voiced m opinion in a letter written to the dentist. He then called me on February 2nd refusing to fix the bridge. I also asked repeatedly in emails to send me my records and the name of the dentist that would work on my bridge. They sent a document that was encrypted and I could not open. They refused to send me my payments that I have made. They also refused to send me the information where the original dentist is practicing. Within the past year alone, this denture has broken three separate times. This is unacceptable for work of this cost and nature. While I understand that the dentist who originally completed the work no longer practices there and that the office has changed ownership, Salem Family and Cosmetic Dentistry purchased this practice and assumed responsibility for its patients and prior dental work. I have also been told that you will not repair the denture unless I pay upfront, allegedly due to my "attitude." I am upset because I have every right to be given that I have had to deal with three failures of a very expensive denture in less than a year. My frustration comes from feeling ignored, dismissed, and treated unfairly.
