I genuinely cannot believe how horribly my friend and I were treated at this store. We walked in excited to browse and shop, minding our own business, and before we even had the chance to properly look at anything, the owner immediately started shooing us away. Instead of greeting us politely like actual customers, she looked us up and down and told us we were "too young" to be there and that "none of the clothes would fit" us anyway.
The entire interaction was unbelievably rude, invasive, and humiliating. There was absolutely no reason to comment on our bodies or make assumptions about us the second we walked through the door. It felt incredibly judgmental and discriminatory, especially the way she spoke to us with such hostility right from the start. We weren't being loud, disruptive, or disrespectful -- we were literally just two people excited to shop.
What made the situation even worse was the tone and attitude she had while saying all of this. She acted as though we were unwelcome simply because of how we looked and our age. No business owner should ever make customers feel embarrassed, judged, or unwanted for existing in their store. It was honestly shocking to experience such openly nasty behavior from someone running a business.
A store's atmosphere comes from the people running it, and this place had one of the most uncomfortable, hostile environments I've ever experienced. There's a difference between having store policies and outright belittling customers. Body-shaming people and making rude assumptions is never acceptable.
After leaving, we looked through the reviews and honestly realized we completely dodged a bullet. Seeing so many other people describe similar experiences made everything make sense. Clearly this behavior is not a one-time thing, which is honestly even more disappointing. A business with this many complaints about rude treatment should seriously reflect on how customers are being spoken to and treated.
We left feeling embarrassed and upset instead of excited, which is the exact opposite of how shopping should feel. There are so many businesses out there that actually treat people with kindness and respect, and I'd much rather support them instead. I would not recommend this store to anyone looking for a welcoming or positive experience.
I'd give this store a zero star review if I could. read more
