There are many fine dining choices at Valle Navado, but Don Giovanni ended up being our prime choice. The food is incredible, the service excellent, and early reservations earn you a complementary glass of wine. We tried a wide variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts and everything was excellent. This makes it tough to recommend single dishes, but I will say that you should come hungry as the portions are quite large. You also have access to a small antipasto bar at your arrival and that aforementioned glass of wine which can be earned with a 6:30 PM (18:30) reservation. It's best to not overindulge at apres ski and instead save room for the excellent food you will find here. It seems that it would be quite expensive to eat at this delicious place if you do not purchase or win a package that includes dinner. For this reason, I would seriously consider doing such a thing. Also, be sure to tip your excellent servers at least 10% upon departure.

For a very reasonable price, you also get a pisco sour, water/soda/wine, an appetizer (fried cauliflower with beets), and coffee. The pisco sour was very refreshing and tart. Food was a good sized portion as well and tasted light and not too heavy. The lunch special isn't listed in the menu so don't forget to ask about it! Ambiance is really cute inside and they have nice outdoor seating as well.

This tasted like a hot crab meat dip to me. It was delicious. (4) Locos with mayonnaise: 4 stars. This is a Chilean seafood delicacy served with potatoes (5) Torres starter plate: 3 stars. This platter has cheese, prosciutto, salami, crostini and empanadas. It was our first time having these local food and we enjoyed it.

Everything we had was fantastic and the waiter and chef were very accommodating. Everything was great particularly the traditional menu items. The service was warm and friendly. Everything was very reasonably priced. We enjoyed sitting outside given we had just arrived from the US in early December. The plus here... most of the folks (other than us) seemed like neighborhood locals. When you're traveling, go where the locals go :) In fact we met the owner who was sitting at the table next to us with some German expats, which just added to the warmth and depth of our experience.
