Pros: Nice office, facility is clean and kept up. Cons: This place is NOT for kids. Nothing kid friendly about it. Almost all of the staff were rude to my kids, and I was, ironically, talked down to like a child. I know I'm a monster, and I don't floss, but just a reminder is all I need. I don't need a 10 minute lecture on how badly I'm treating my teeth. They're overpriced, too. I paid out of pocket more than usual for my insurance. Don't recommend if you don't have perfect teeth, or have children. read more

Well, after submitting my review on 8/8/2017, I received a reply from "Kc. A", who described themselves as a former patient of Weatherill's as well as a dental assistant who'd turned down employment in his office because of "his ridiculous requests due to paranoia". After that little tidbit, KC. A went on to ridicule my review and to inform me that I had no idea how dental practices operate. I have been a patient in dental offices for several decades now, and I do know what I expect: a dentist who communicates clearly and respectfully, a friendly and efficient staff, and a clean, well-kept office. Valhalla Dental came close to the mark on this one, but was let down by an unfriendly staff and an unprofessional approach to collecting fees. read more

I've been to a few different dentists in the past few years because of moves and Dr. Weatherill and the whole office has really impressed me. They have gone above and beyond in helping with insurance stuff and all my visits have been comfortable. They communicate well and I immediately recommended them to my wife after my first visit. I have never had a better experience at the dentist! I came to Dr. Weatherill after a horrible experience with another dentist, that left me in severe pain. He listened to my concerns, made a treatment plan, and explained everything in detail. He showed me the x-rays and pictures to further put me at ease. The hygienists are great as well, and I felt cared for and never rushed. They call me the day after every visit to make sure I am doing well, and I have been able to get visits scheduled quickly. I would recommend Valhalla dental to anyone looking for a highly competent, compassionate dentist with a great support staff. read more

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A GREAT DENTIST? Do yourself a favor and come here. NO PAIN DENTISTRY! That should be the name of this office. This is state of the art. My last dentist suggested I have all my silver fillings removed and the white was put in. BIG MISTAKE. I thought it would be better too, but they weren't done right and there was "leaking" and decay happening under the fillings I just had put in 2 years ago. Doc Weatherill, spotted it, fixed it, and saved me from having to have a root canal. The gel they use to numb your injection site, worked great. I felt NO PAIN, getting my mouth numb. He lets you know what he is doing, step by step. No surprises. He even has a piece of hard foam, to rest your teeth on, so you don't have to hold your mouth open during the entire procedure. I don't know about you, but I would always leave with an aching jaw, from having to keep my mouth wide open. NOT HERE. They go to great lengths to make you comfortable. A tv , so you don't just stare at the ceiling, and they hand you the remote. Headphones, so you don't have to listen to the drill. Pillows and blankets if you choose. I asked for a foot rub, I guess they have their limits. LOL He and his staff are so gentle, and friendly. They all go to dental conventions on a regular basis, to keep up with the latest technique. Doc Weatherill is so knowledgeable and humble. Even if someone has done poor work, he can fix it and make it right. Kayla, the assistant, did a great job of my temporaries. In the past, my temporaries came off, or weren't seated correctly, and it hurt to bite down, making me go back for another visit to fix it. Not with her. She did her job right the first time. Great Job Kayla! Tawnie is super. My husband had to leave a message, after hours, about pain he was having. Tawnie called us, to let us know what we could do to get some relief. She was spot on. She even called, with a follow up call, to ensure he was doing okay. You're the best Tawnie. Cathy, the dental hygienist, is thorough, and informative. I used to have bleeding in my gums, but since she teaches me how to clean my teeth, my mouth is much healthier. I no longer dread my cleanings. She will make sure you have a good experience. Michelle, the receptionist, is on top of things. She will do a preauthorization, so there will be NO surprises out of pocket. She makes every effort to give you the date and time you need. If you need a referral, they know the best in the business. She even walked me over to the orthodontist and introduced me to the staff. AWESOME! Skip all the rest and come to the best! Dr. Pulver is a very kind, polite, well trained professional. His assistants, however, are not nearly as well trained as they should be. I have had a series of EXTREMELY unfortunate events where they are concerned. The last time I went, I had blood splattered all over my bib, and tears streaming down my face. I brought my 3 kids here for their exams and was happy with the service we got. I haven't always had luck bringing kids to a family dentist, but they kept my kids (ages 8, 5 and 3) calm and happy throughout their exams. They paired my kids off with the perfect dental assistants for their personalities and even the 3 year old was comfortable with the examination. read more

Bad experience. You can tell that the dr really doesn't care about his staff at all...I was in last week and one of his employees was sick, in the bathroom. He completely ignored her, didn't even seem concerned didn't check on her, didn't sent anyone to check on her- nothing. It was like she was causing a disturbance and he was clearly annoyed by it. If he doesnt care about his staff it's clear he doesn't care about the clients either. Stay away. Find a dentist that cares more about people than money. read more

Excellent! Very nice office, staff, dental assistants, and Dentist. They listen to you, and always go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I've had cleaning, X-rays, and fillings done there, and I've never been nervous or uncomfortable. As long as I live in Kitsap County, I will be a patient at Valhalla Dental. read more

Of any of the dental offices that I have gone to in my life, this would be at the top of my list. Staff is warm, welcoming and genuine. They won't hesitate to make you feel comfortable in, let's face it, an uncomfortable place for most people. Dr. Weatherill is one of very few dentists that has given me anesthetic that I did not feel. Let me repeat that...I did not feel it! I was very numb but the whole experience was gentle and pain free. This office has TV's for you to watch or even listen to music while you have your teeth worked on. Overall, it is a very nice dental office experience. I highly recommend Valhalla Dental in Poulsbo, WA. The support staff are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Weatherill is thorough and careful in his examinations. He explains his findings and any recommended treatment in a way that the patient can understand and therefore participate in their care. He's very easy to talk to. The hygienist (Heather) was thorough and very gentle with the cleaning process. The waiting room and treatment areas are clean and well organized. I can't say enough good things about Valhalla Dental in Poulsbo, I really can't. Sweet, good-natured people who show a real interest in my comfort and well-being. Didn't try to shame me for letting my teeth go too long, just gave me the facts and explained my options to me. They genuinely listened to my concerns, answered questions thoroughly and with patience, and even switched teeth last minute when I realized that the one they were planning to do wasn't the tooth that was flaring up on me. My root canal last week was almost completely painless, and while they had a hard time getting my back teeth numb for fillings today, they showed no impatience at the delay. The dental assistant (I love Tawnie!!) sat with me the whole time and we chatted like old friends waiting for me to numb up. The environment is relaxed and comfortable, the doctor and his assistant would chat with me occasionally throughout the work, but they didn't carry on personal conversations over the top of me as if I was a bump on their table. Both the dentist and the assistant kept me updated on my progress, apologized for discomfort or inconvenience, and constantly asked if I was doing alright. I am 24, and had never had a good dental experience my whole life. I've now had 3 wonderful experiences with Valhalla Dental (a cleaning, root canal, and 3 fillings), and I truly couldn't be happier. read more

Wow. This was the absolute best dentist experience I have ever had. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. You can watch tv (and listen along with headphones) while you're getting your teeth cleaned. They go above and beyond to explicitly explain how and why they do things. They also provide an extensive description for the best ways to care for your teeth and help you truly comprehend the real value in proper oral maintenance. I went to Dr. Weatherill in Sequim and went to the new doc they got, and he was no way close so decided it was worth the trip to Poulsbo. During my life I have had extensive work because I was in an accident in college including surgery, implants, root canals etc so I have had many dentists working on me. The friendly staff ensures you are comfortable and gives their undivided attention to you. I have been a patient of Wetherill's for three years. Clean office, great hygienist. But it seems to me that the primary focus is to maximize profits by recommending complex and what appears not to be the most economical alternative. Also, it appears prices for dentist procedures have increased by about a third since Dr. Pulver sold the business. read more
