We are fairly new patients to Current Dental, but were previous patients of Dr. Christine Marshall. We chose Current Dental because she joined their team. Dr. Marshall is the only dentist I have ever been to that I feel comfortable with. She is easy to talk to and does not make you feel bad or put you in a situation where you feel uncomfortable. She just wants to help you to have a healthy smile that you can be proud of. My husband has also seen Dr. Ortega and she is very articulate, calm, and makes you feel very comfortable. She takes the time to explain things and is very knowledgeable. On each visit they were able to schedule us right in within a day or two, which was greatly appreciated. And were able to be seen at times that worked best for us. I highly recommend Current Dental. I live in Mason County and it is worth the long drive to be seen by a dentist I can trust. read more

I am new to the area and I had a filling fall out while on vacation and I knew I would be needing a filling for sure, if not more. I saw a dentist in Texas who had taken xrays and told me that i need a crown, hopefully not a root canal. I asked my cousin (who lives here) who she sees and Current was recommended so I called and was able to be seen. I emailed my Texas X-rays to them and told them my insurance. (DeltaDental) I came in and again offered my card but they didn't need a copy, they already had one. I was seen by Dr Timothy... great experience!! I needed a root canal, post and crown. They were able to do it all in one day, and since it needed to be done and i have insurance, I did it. I also needed to return for 3 fillings, so I made the appointment to return. When I came in for the follow up appt...I was met with a $2200 bill and was told that they don't take Delta Dental, it's out of network. It was like getting kicked in the gut!! I was NEVER told by anyone along the way that I was out of network. I sent a letter to the office with no response asking to reduce the bill as its not completely my fault that this happened, with NO response. I've tried to talk to the office manager who keeps saying that they train their front desk to tell everyone that delta dental is out of network. She is not willing to help me out at all THEY NEVER ONCE told me I was out of network. I would have declined service and found a dentist who is IN network. I am only asking to lower the bill but they will NOT help me out at all!!! Hoping this review saves someone else from a huge bill. read more

I needed a lump removed and was told it would be no more than $88 out of pocket. They would take care of the insurance claims etc. I asked three separate times if I needed to notify my insurance company but the patronizing Alexis who apparently knows more than anyone else said oh no we did not. 6 months later I received a bill from them for over $400! Completely unacceptable and this could've been avoided but no Alexis knows best! Awful place! read more

Recently treated by new Doctor at Current Dental. I found Dr Ortega to be kind patient and competent. My issue was resolved and I am grateful for the care I received. Doctor Verharen is an excellent dentist. He always makes me feel welcomed and accommodated. Dr Verharen is not anyone you'd want to have do work on your mouth. He will bill you just to talk about his trade. Came in for free consult to discover he does not provide partials and would have to refer that work elsewhere. But insisted on talking about the benefits, price, longevity, etc of implants. Then billed you for looking at your mouth to determine you need orthodontia before your desired partial can be had which he'd have to refer you out for anyways. Rip off. read more

I saw Dr. Waldo and his dental hygienist Gina for the first time last week. I've had a significant amount of dental work in the past and am very discerning when it comes to providers. I was impressed with the Current Dental staff - they got me in on short notice, took the time to explain everything they were doing and why, educate me on ways I could help myself, and obtained my concurrence with what they determined to be a reasonable dental care plan. I felt respected and valued as a patient. Dr. Waldo acknowledged I had other conditions affecting my dental health, and he promised to send me to a specialist if needed rather than trying to be Superman and take care of them himself. Gina did one of the most painless cleanings I've ever had. I'm impressed with the whole group at Current and plan to continue with them. read more

Dr. Spaulding is wonderful! I'm pregnant and have extreme dental anxiety, and had to have some dental work done-she made sure I stayed comfortable the entire time I was in the chair and did an amazing job on my teeth! Plus she's super relatable and friendly, that took away a lot of the fear! Same goes for the rest of the staff; very welcoming office. Couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

I have been a patient in this practice since the 90's, before Dr. Verharen took it over. I've always been pleased with the professional and courteous staff throughout the years. The transition to Dr. Verharen's care was handled smoothly and I felt very comfortable with the changes. Diana has always managed the office professionally and efficiently. She always answered my billing concerns and resolves issues promptly. Dr. Verharen always takes great care of my dental health and is quick to redo any work that he is not 100% satisfied with. He guaranties his work for two years and does not hesitate to ensure the patient is 100% satisfied also. His staff is hand picked, well trained and the best I've seen. First let me tell you.... I HATE going to the dentist! I've been going to this clinic before Dr V bought it. My first intro visit with him, I let him know I was not a fan of dentists and it took years for Dr Wally Voltz to get me to a better state of mind and I wasn't happy he was retiring! Dr V smiled and said he hoped he would be able to continue changing my views of dentists. After my first visit... he did! I LOVE going to Dr V, and Jim has been my "go to" Hygenist since my kids were babies.. they now have babies of their own! Not to be forgotten, I also enjoy the balance of his staff. Current Dental has been taking care of my chompers for well over 8 years now, and I would not go anywhere else to have my dental needs taken care of. I suspect that Dr. Tim Verharen is second to none in his field. It seems as though I'm just getting comfortable when -- that's it, he's done. No pain, no waiting around, no horrible anticipation -- they are fast, efficient AND friendly as well. I really can's say enough about Current Dental, and their in-house dental plan (Dental Health Rewards) makes the process very affordable as well. read more

If I were you, I would avoid this dentist office for your safety. I just came back from a follow up appointment because I had a problem with Dr.Spaulding's recent dental work. Now, inside of my mouth/lower lip is cut and bleeding. Everytime I went to this dental office I had problems. This same dentist cut my inner mouth a few weeks ago and my gum was cut by a different dentist. I can't have a coffee now because it hurts! I didn't post a public review about this office until today but I feel like I had enough. Dr.Spaulding needs to pay attention to her patients more, instead of talking with her assistant about their husbands, lunch, weekend, etc. I always felt like I was just a specimen with my mouth open and in very vulnerable position. If she were paying attention to my mouth and dental work she was doing, I wouldn't be in pain and bleeding like this now. read more
