I've come here many times. One guy behind the counter is a bit gruff but overall seems like a decent guy. Today I went to redeem a lotto ticket and a different guy behind the counter saw me holding my ticket, and just walked away from the counter, finally turning and saying "No lotto today". I've been to this station a lot since it's close to where I grew up. At some point they got a really weird owner. He's constantly hovering and judging you while you pump gas for no reason. I went to getgas station to get a gas and use the white man gave me the key with no problem white man young man who drives for Uber came in and destroyed that whole bathroom. Let's call this place "Scumbag Central." Value = 0, Quality = 1 (generous) Their price for gas was 10 cents per gallon less than the competitor across the street. Since I was on E and needed 25 gallons, it made more sense to go to Valero. However, when I paid for the fuel in cash, I discovered that price at 10 cents less "is ONLY WHEN YOU BUY A CARWASH..." Hilarious and slimy if you ask me. To make matters worse, my kid had to use the bathroom, and despite filling my car up, the "bathroom was out of order." We pulled our R.V. in to fill up the propane. There is a 16.5 gallon tank in the R.V. The machine shut off after 3 1/2 gallons. When I went in to pay I was told that there was a $35 minimum charge whether it was 3, 4 or 5 gallons pumped. That fact was not disclosed beforehand, and they didn't even fill up the tank. read more

Paid for a car wash today for $12 after fill-up. Seemed reasonable. Went through and it sprayed soap over my car then a single spray of water over the vehicle and then said "thanks, your wash is over". I went and talked to the attendant who berated me for "doing it wrong" while also saying "this happens 10 times a day". Hmmm, seems like if it's happening 10 times a day, maybe there's a problem with the car wash. Got a new code, tried again. Same thing. Pissy and argumentative, he said "well show me how you're doing it." I informed him I didn't have time to help work out the kinks with his equipment. I'd just like my money back. I have been using this business for many years and noticed the service quality deteriorated so much for the last few years. Today all I wanted was to buy gas and a car wash. The car wash didn't start because my car didn't align with the washer frame. The cashier was so rude and told me typically I need to pay one more time and lectured me that I broke the system. Eventually he solved the problem and I didn't pay the extra. In the past couple years I had a few encounters with the same cashier and he was very rude. That's it for me. I didn't need to wait too long for drive through style carwash. Cashier is called Adam and his name printed on the receipt. Kudos to one friendly and efficient cashier. Good price performance ratio. Wow, this place went from one of the most affordable gas prices and car washes, to one of the most expensive. Not sure what happened, but in the last few months it went from the "home of the $7 car wash", to $8, to the $18 car wash. And gas is much more expensive than the chevron across the street, which is still higher than those just a short drive up or down the street. read more

Very dishonest owner, watch how much he charged on your credit card! I went in today for a smog check and with a $10 coupon. The final bill was $70 and the owner asked if I pay cash I can save a few bucks. I don't have that much cash so used credit card. He took my card, did the transaction, and handed me a receipt. Without much thinking since I confirmed the $70 with him with the coupon, I just put the receipt away without looking. Only when I got back to office and found he charged $80 on my card! I went in for car wash with a coupon due today (3/17/2022). However, when I punched the code, I heard 'not valid'. So, I went in the store and showed the coupon to the cashier. A Caucasian man said to me, 'you passed the expiration date'. I asked, 'How come? Today is 3/17'. He said, 'Our clock is 16 here. Bring someone who knows English here'. He saw me as an Asian and spoke with a little ascent. I then said, 'What do you mean? You are discriminating'! He then gave me a substitute slip which has a new car wash code till 4/17. I went away and didn't want to wash today because I was angry. Then he said, 'this code is only good for today. Our machine ends one day early'. Then I said, 'That's your problem and you need to fix it'. He finally admitted, 'I don't have money to fix'. He probably is the owner. Don't go to that store for car wash. Smog check review only!! I have been getting my cars tested there for years. I have had up to 5 cars in the household so I frequent the place fairly often. Each time the same tech (sorry but I really should know his name) has been super courteous, professional and very patient with me and my cars. I appreciate his honesty and integrity, just a good guy. On several occasions my car did not pass. He told me why, what I needed to do to pass and sent me on my way. I didnt have to pay until the car passed. read more

I found out the hard way that most gas station air/water stations don't work. Thankfully, this one does! The attendant was super nice and friendly, the air station worked great (gauge and all!), and the gas prices were highly competitive for the area. Thank you, Valero! I've been coming here with electric cars for the last 10 years, so this review is only for the car wash. The coupons make the price reasonable (although it's gone up in the last couple of years), and I like the fact that you can save 5 receipts and get a free wash. If you asked me a few months ago, I'd probably give this place 3 or more stars. But after my last two visits, I'm done. The service is HORRIBLE. Last time was barely acceptable, but today, the older Caucasian man was beyond rude. He either has something against Asians or Tesla drivers (or both), because everything he said was condescending. First he tried to argue that they don't have free car washes. I showed him my 5 receipts and the coupon that indicates just that, when he just snapped, "the paper is useless." Then he starts to say, "if you don't know how to go through the wash, I'm not letting you do it again." When I told him not to worry that I know what I'm doing, he said something about "people with them cars." I was there for smoke check. Before I went there, I called a few smoke check stations and this place had the lowest price and it's also close to my house. The whole process took about 15 to 20 mins I was told by the smoke check inspector. Therefore, I went into the store and browsed around to kill time. The owner behind the counter noticed that and kindly asked me to free free to get a coffee or hot chocolate. So, I did. It was done actually 15 mins later. Since it's an old car, I asked the inspector a few questions regarding how to keep the car in good condition, he was so patient to answer all of my questions!
