I don't recommend this company. I was nice enough & sympathetic to pay more when the owner called about the lumber price spike. I gave in because it has to be done quickly & I didn't want to go through another process of screening. I've noticed that a gutter was moved, nails on the ground, debris after the installation. They came back & denied they touched the gutter when it required a screw to fasten to an overhang. I followed up then I get a nasty email from the owner's wife. A few months later I need a roofing service done. I decided I won't hire them again. read more

They recommended replacing the concrete balls around my tile roof protrusions (vent pipes) with metal sheathing to stop water infiltration during wind and rain. We had our roof replaced over a year ago and it was a nightmare. The salesperson was nice, he looked into the attic and walked around the house. a day later we received an email with a nice low proposal, and we signed days later. Setting up the time for them to come out was changed 3 times and finally they came out in May 2022. They could not get the truck loaded with materials near my house, so it was off loaded in my driveway. I asked for the supervisor to come out before they started but no one ever called. The call I did get was the person that was supervising the job was too busy to come out. I asked for the foreman of the job to walk the job with me, however we had a language barrier. I asked to talk to someone because my house is 125 years old and I wanted to make sure we go over a few things. Well, the crew was not happy because nobody told them that they now had to carry all the heavy material up a 2-story house. While I talked to the foreman the roofers started to open up the roof, just find out there was no underlayment and there were 2 roofs. Getting a call from the supervisor she now said it was going to be another 9K for underlayment (82 Sheets of plywood) and $1500 dollars for having to carry the material to the roof. We looked at the contract and in the fine print it said that if they needed to put on any sheets of plywood, it would be 175 a sheet. Well, $9000.00 later and with a gaping hole in my roof I was told I could pay the $9000.00 or look for someone else. Not much we could do, the crew was looking at me and not very happy because now a 1-day job was on hold. When the job resumed, they were slamming the material onto the roof. When I addressed the issue with the on the phone supervisor she said to talk to the foreman. Well with all the slamming and pounding my 125 year old plaster ceiling now has big cracks and plaster falling. The supervisor told me they don't have anyone that repairs plaster and so it up to me to repair it. Now in December of 2023 I have a leak in my roof and the inside plaster is water stained. They are coming out to repair the roof (after 2 months) but no more mention of who is going to repair the inside damage. A couple of our neighbors have asked about the roof and have gone with another contractor because of the issues we have had. Very poor service and I am still finding nails and materials in my yard. read more

Hmm where do I start with this company. No call no show after 5 hours of waiting? No call or reschedule. Got on the phone with a woman that seemed to be in charge of sending teams out to maintenance teams to locations had absolutely no idea what was going on because she was at the dentist had no idea about what needed to be fixed here. Maybe the first time during a rain storm couldn't send a team out to fix the roofing leak in my place that is flooding my apartment is understandable. Second request that got rescheduled after the rainstorm that flooded my apartment. Completely useless now that there is no rain! Scheduled 9:30-1:30 not a single person showed up or a single call to say they won't be there or ANYTHING!!. Complete waste of my time again! Twice this company has show how unprofessional they are. Two men came out and measured the roof and said someone from the office would email me an estimate. Several days later I tried to call to see if they had my estimate. No one answered the phone. I tried later that day and a woman answered. I asked about the estimate and she put someone else on the line. He stated that they were looking for tile and that he would have an estimate the following Monday. Monday arrives and I tried calling. Again no one answered the phone. I had my Composition Shingle Roof replaced by Valentine Roofing during the week of 7 July 2014 in preparation for new Solar Panels to be installed by McWire Electric. The job was completed on time, on budget, with excellent results. Not often do you receive more than you paid for, but this was one of those rare occasions. Valentine Roofing removed two old layers of roofing and disposed of them. Then they expertly repaired hidden termite and wood rot damage. They also re-roofed a small adjacent tool shed and food storage building at no charge. The roofing materials that were used were of top quality with a life of 25-30 years and are also very attractive. The home looks much more attractive now, and I am very sure the property value has been increased due to this significant and necessary improvement. From 9-17-18 to 9-24-18 Valentine Roofing replaced our 3,545 sq. ft. roof. The 11' x 12' open entry was roofed and a skylight added. Five turbine vents and four O'hagin vents were installed. From start to finish only four employees and Mike (owner/operator) worked on our roof. The crew was experienced and task centered. The job was completed in a week. Mike's spouse and co-owner, Wendy, runs the office. They delivered on everything in the contract and more. We appreciated not having to deal with a subcontractor. We are seniors.
